From wowhead news:

With the new achievement Troll, Troll dappertutto! on the PTR, players can now try to kill some of these new troll rare spawns in 5.2 that drop crafting materials and mounts like Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale d'Ardesia. Blizzard has stated that these rare spawns can drop one of three mounts, reputation items, and crafting materials.

The 3 mounts seem to be Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale d'Ardesia Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale d'Ambra Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale di Giada as drops from rare spawns, there is also Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale di Cobalto that is speculated to be obtainable via some other fashion, but we have no info as to how.

Confirmed by WoW Rare Spawns to drop from the Zandalari Warbringers. These NPCs spawn on a mount, which is in one of three colors. This color matches up with the mount type that you have a small chance to win when you kill them!

Commento di MissKristen

Please keep in mind, the color of the mount which drops will ALWAYS correspond to the color of the mount the Araldo della Guerra Zandalari can be seen riding at that particular time.

Ex. Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale d'Ardesia will drop off a Araldo della Guerra Zandalari riding a slate colored mount.

Not sure if these are soloable, never tried, but I'm pretty sure that you can perfectly do those rares as MM hunter and disc priest. Just keep in mind that you need tanking pet. I did down this boss with my friend 2 times, no mount drop -_- . The first fight with this rare mob was depressing, due to the fact that another rare mob joined in. Both of our fights are in The Jade Forest.
I'd say that the combination tank+healer is always a successful. Keep in mind that if you want to solo it as a tank, you need to be good geared, due to the fact that I saw a blood death knight trying to solo it yesterday and failed. Damn shame.

As hunter and healer:
For both -
Always be on your feet and run! If the rare has the beetle spell, you'd want to mass AoE on the beetles since they're annoying little bugs.
Hunter -
As a hunter you need a good tanking pet that has a special ability to reduce damage taken. For me, I personally used a turtle. Keep in mind that you need concussive shot on boss 24/7 and if your healer has problem healing your pet, use scatter shot periodically ( mostly when the pet is wounded ) so that the healer has time to heal it. Keep in mind that you should mostly kite in circle, due to the fact that they have aggro zones and if they get out of their aggro zones, they'll reset. If the healer has good time healing, you might want to use scatter shot on vengeful spirit.
As for your Pets - send your tanking pet out only when you release stampede. I'd say that you should prepare another pet ( doesn't really matter what it is) with a tanking specc and growl up. Tell the healer that he/she should only focus on the main tank ( for me it was the turtle ). As for the rest of the time, when Stampede is on cooldown, just keep the tanking on passive mode. If it looses aggro - make it aggressive or defensive mode, make him growl and then back on passive.
Healer -
You can take healer by your choice. Personally, I called my friend. She was a discipline priest. All that the healer needs to do is to run, manage the mana and heal. If the healer can manage the mana perfectly, then he/she can dps the boss freely. When my friend went oom, she usually used mindbender and hymn of hope.
I'd say either take a good druid ( due to the fact, that the druid can shapeshift into cat and dps) or priest.

Hope this guide was helpfull for hunters and healers.

Priest - Àngel@Anachronos

I only registered just to type this comment basicly.

Just got this mount after my -28th!- kill. I killed this rare for 3 days with around 10 hours camping there every day

Jade Forest one was the best on my server because all other ones were overfarmed, did this as a blood DK so I did not need to have a group altough I had another DK with me that only wanted the reputation since I'm a PvPer I did not need it

What I got in total:

6 Epic items (2 BoP ones)
This mount
Probably around 600-900 gold if not more from the bags
~300 windwool cloth
2 Sha Crystals
~120 spirit dust
12 Etheral Shards
2 Magnificient Hide's
40 Exotic Leather
23 Bolts of Windwool cloth
20 Golden Lotus
80 White Trilium Ore
60 Black Trilium Ore
~400 Ghost Iron
~15 Jewelcrafting gems
~200 herbs ( Fool's Cap, Tea Leaf, Rain Poppy, Snow Lilly)
and probably much more I missed out on.

My friend got around ~40-50k reputation in the process

So this is useful even if you don't get the mount.

If you only do it for the mount you will need to have insane luck or patience and if you are not a blood DK you will likely need a group aswell

Commento di sacuria

Ok, there seems to be an issue at least on my server, so I'm guessing may be the same on others.

Firstly, the rares seem to have a 30-70 minute respawn timer. The Pterrorbird's have nothing to do with he spawn, that are literally just markers or beacons for people to help find these rare locations. Secondly, the warscoutscouts seem to be on their own spawn timers, they can spawn before, during and after warbringers.

Now on to my main point, the Warbringers DO NOT RESET THROUGH DISTANCE. There seems to be some confusion on my server with this. A lot of people seem to throw their dummies in the corner when they miss out on the tag. Many result to whispering the group members furiously trying to distrance them, while others take it upon themselves to attempt to reset the mob trough taunt spamming the rare and kiting, often, to different ends of zone the rare is in. The only way that this will ever reset the mob is if you force it to 'bug out'.

After ticketing a GM about this, the GMs say that exploitation is a cause for banning people, and are willing to ban people for what they attempt to do. Dragging the mob into water in Dreadwastes for example. I had a group who tried 4 times to reset the mob, fortunatly, my group retained the tag and got the kill (no mount). However, aoeing around the mob is not an exploitation, so aoe as much as you need. The more in your group the better tag wise.

So to sum it up:

The mobs do not reset through distance, if they reset it is a bug.
Purposefully resetting the mob is a bannable offence.
Aoeing around the mob is not an exploit, so continue to do so at your pleasure.

Uprate this message so people are aware of this please!

And goodluck mount hunting.

I literally got this on my first kill. It was in townlong, I 2 manned it with a lock as a Blood DK. Dropped and I managed to win the roll. I picked up Blue Proto earlier in the day and Fiery Warhorse's Reins the day before. Easily the best 2 days in terms of drops that I've had.

I've killed 7 more Warbringer's after my first kill and I haven't seen a mount since.

Commento di 927860

Hello, fellow "dragon" hunters!
Id like to clarify few details about these mobs.

First of all, they spawn at 5 different locations and all 5 of them spawn.

Spawn points:
http://s634.beta.photobucket.com/user/Stok3d-Photos/media/Zandalari_Spawns_zpsb9b0c0ae.png.html?sort=3&o=0

/way Kasarang Wilds 39.08, 67.13
/way Dread Wastes 47.47, 61.32
/way Townlong Steppes 36.53, 85.67
/way Kun-Lai Summit 75.09, 67.65
/way The Jade Forest 52.73, 18.99

They share those spots with lesser rares but they ALWAYS spawn, no matter how many of lesser rares are spawned before. Warbringers are the ones youre looking for, they have a chance about 10% to contain your mount and they also contain +1000 reputation tokens to various factions and two kinds of containers, one drops crafting material, the socond one may drop ilv 440 epic gear. Lesser rares are called Warscouts and their drop is the same except the mount.

The respawn time of Warbringers is 35 minutes to 55 minutes.
The shortest respawn Iv seen was 36minutes and the longest exceeded 50minutes.

Warbringers spawn sitting on Triceratopses of various color and when killed have a chance to drop a mount of that specific color (remains to be confirmed).
There are at least 3 different mounts - Jade, Slate and Amber Direhorn.
Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale di Giada
Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale d'Ardesia
Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale d'Ambra

While Warscouts are easily soloable, Warbringers are extremely chalenging to solo, especially for non tanks. I recommend you bring two of your friends with you.

Be aware that there are certain "ways" that can be used against you by other players while trying to achieve the kill. Happened to myself that a druid used his taunt several times, pulled the rare so far away that it reseted and his friend taged it afterwards. Also a group of horde players turned pvp on and waited till I accidentaly hit them with non-direct spell and then swoop upon me.
Took me about 8kills to get mine Slate Direhorn but Iv lost many attempts in the process.

Hope you find this clarification helpful. Happy hunting.

There were 7 newly added direhorn mounts in 5.2

Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale Dorato - Requires Rivalsa del Kirin Tor Exalted and 3000 gold (without discounts) - Alliance only
Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale Cremisi - Requires Furia dei Predatori del Sole Exalted and 3000 gold (without discounts) - Horde only

Note: If you obtain one of these mounts on one of your characters, all of your characters will have it. Though, your Alliance characters will have the Golden Primal Direhorn, while your Horde characters will have the Crimson Primal Direhorn.

Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale di Cobalto - Rare drop from Undasta

Oondasta is a new world boss in 5.2, and spawns in Isola dei Giganti (Long respawn timer).
If you're going for this mount, make sure you take a Mogu Rune of Fate with you.

Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale d'Ambra - Rare drop from Zandalari Warbringer
Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale di Giada - Rare drop from Zandalari Warbringer
Redini del Cornofurente Primordiale d'Ardesia - Rare drop from Zandalari Warbringer

I know alot of people on my realm have started going insane trying to farm these mounts. My only advise to them, and anyone else going insane with the drop % on the mounts. Just have fun with it, and keep trying! Yea, the rate is low, but the loot, and hunt for these is totally worth it! From a pvp stand point alone.. We've had a blast hitting Alliance unexpectedly, and causing instant wipes to finish off a kill.... Sure it's heartless, but definately bringing an aspect of world pvp back! Keep up the good work Blizz, and have fun with these everyone!

Commento di 981407

This rare mount can be especially painful to farm on a PvP realm even while solo or grouped up. Had me and 2 other guys tagged one of these 3 times in the last hour... sadly we were wiped by a group of 5 geared players over and over again and lost our tag when we had him down past 5mil health. Would love if this problem would be fixed. I hate doing all the work for a group to swoop in and take it in a few minutes :\

Commento di Necromanic

Soloable as Arcane Mage (Gutrachop, Drenden).

Keep slow up at all times. Keep Nether Tempest or your chosen Mage Bomb up at all times. Kite in a circle, spamming Arcane Barrage.

Use Frostjaw and Presence of Mind to put a little distance between whenever required, which will allow you to launch 2xArcane Missile and an Arcane Blast.

Keep distance to avoid the horrification fear, but be careful not to stray to far out of the 'zone' as he will evade and reset.

The swarm isn't an issue, just use Temporal Shield + Incanter's Ward together, and Arcane Explosion the little critters. The small amount of damage you will take will heal back thanks to the Temporal Shield and you will receive the nice 15 second bonus to spells (+30 Percent) from the Incanter's Ward.

10 Minute fight with ilvl 491, probably quicker if you use Deep Freeze with Frostjaw to get a couple more crits and Arcane Blast buffs in.

Good Luck, and hopefully the mount will drop for you first try as it did for me ;)

Can solo this as a rogue as well. Not easy, but you can do it. Found the Zandalari Harbringer in Kun-Lai and managed to kite him all around Kun-Lai only using Shuriken Toss. This took me about 25 minutes of kiting, but I managed to get the kill and a mount. :) Good luck.

Commento di shrikearghast

Without a doubt one of the ugliest, most unfinished mounts in the game. The lack of eyes on all these models is sad.

Commento di 1124333

If you want this mount, and have a couple hours on your hands this way of farming can generate a fairly good amount of kills on Warbringers and will hopefully land you a mount.

Ok, i've farmed over 70-100 of Warbringers using a CROSS REALM PARTY METHOD

Using an external website, or even your friends list if you know the right people, create a group of 3-5 people of all different realms. When you create a party everyone moves to your realm, AND vice-versa, so you can potentially farm 3-5 Warbringers per single spot on multiple realms(please note this doesn't guarantee they aren't killed on the other servers)

EXAMPLE:

You want to farm Warbingers, so you create a party of 5 people from different realms to farm them.

Each player flies to the same position in the party. If the current realm Warbingers is dead, then all players would leave party, to be sent back to there realms so they can check if theirs is alive. If the warbingers is alive on that players realm, THAT PLAYER MUST BE THE ONE inviting the party back so that everyone will be on there realm for the kill.

What this does for you, is allows you to potentially kill 20 Warbingers per hour, with each fight lasting a few minutes + Flight time, you can literally NON-STOP FARM these guys till you receive your mounts.

Key Notes:

NOTE: There can not be more than 2 people from the same realm. If there are 3 of you from the same realm, it will always transfer the other players to your realm regardless of who is party leader.

NOTE: Loot IS shared cross realm, so for those of you who will say that another realms player will be ineligible for the mount if it dropped, YOU'RE WRONG!

Please upvote this so that people can start getting the mount!

Doing this solo as a Blood Death Knight
Might be useful for other classes as well

Rare Elite Overview
21 million health

Ability / Buff Overiew
All 5x Warbringers share the same abilites

◾
Clicking nameplate will show 4x different buffs

Buffs will determine which abilities that mob will use in the fight

Buff ==> Ability
Tribal Mask ==> Horrific Visage: AOE Feared for 8 seconds
Horrific visage is a magic ability and to counter this you will need to use one of the following abilities: Anti-magic shell, will of the forsaken or descecrated grounds my tip is to use anti-magic shell as much as possible because this has the shortest cooldown so try to use the other two as emergency in case you failed to see the cast (the last two can be casted during the fear itself magic shell can't)

Scarab Brooch ==> Scarab Swarm: AOEable Scarabs and will despawn if not killed
When the warbringer casts this ability it means that he will spawn a lot of scarabs on the floor do not fear that they will crawl up your skin I can safe you! try to keep all diseases on the warbringer up at all time to create extra damage when the scarabs spawn you simply have to cast blood boil and let the diseases spread from the warbringer to the scarabs this is the only thing you have to do with them they will die from diseases that have been spread so don't worry any more. make sure you spec: ROLLING BLOOD to make this possible

Thundering Sigil ==> Thunder Crush: Avoid lightning cloud on the ground
Thunder is straight forward you see blue lightning on the floor and it hits like hell if it touches you. try to run or through the warbringer (if it casts this it will be standing still and not damaging you for the duration of the cast) or try to run out of range i'd say run through because the distance is shorter
If you do get hit by do not stress it's easy to recover as a blood death knight.

Star Map ==> Meteor Shower: Avoid Meteors from the sky

This looks scarier then it is the meteor shower will probably make you run around the map but you can stand still in the same position most of the time. If you do happen to see a meteor coming torwards you simply strave to the left or the right and after it hit the floor move back to old position.
(if you are terrible at the meteor i'd say anti-magic shell can safe your ass as well)

Spirit Charm ==> Vengeful Spirit: Avoid the Spirit as it hits very hard

The spirit is the most dangerous part of the encounter because the warbringer does so many things at the same time and is that huge it is easy to oversee the spirit but your fears agains this spirit are just since it will hit you for about 20% of your hp per second as soon as the warbringer starts to spawn a spirit the plan is to walk away slowly and chain of ice the spirit while taking distance from him this safes you a lot of hassel in the proces of the kill.

I farmed this bad boy for over a weak , and with over 150 Warbringer kills i had yet to see him.. But then as i saw a small group of Horde players camping him in Townlong , just as he spawned i dived down , marked him , killed him and got the mount.

Never have i been so happy for a ground mount ( well this and the Fozzile raptor ) Before in Wow !

Good luck for you farmers who has as bad luck as i had .. ( I know the pain ) /

Commento di Highball

I got this off the three-horn riding Zandalari Warbringer in Dread Waste. Took about 15m to kite him down the beach and back several times. Ignored all the adds and used my Unbound Water Elemental (who I call Buddy) to freeze the adds in place to make more distance between me and those assclowns. I would blink as much as possible to maintain max distance and always kept my shield up. Saved POM for resummoning Buddy. Much easier than the Three-Horn Rider in Karasarang Wilds because this one doesn't have that BS fear ability.

Commento di 165452

me and my friend grind Zandalari Warbringer for rep items, we didnt think we have any luck on mount, but we got lucky after we killed 2 zandalari one after the other and we got 2xReins of the Slate Primordial Direhorn, i was in shock, 2 on same night, one after the other, so ya . u need to be very lucky like that :)

Commento di Gigabear

A good Karma story.

Earlier tonight I had a horde guild come in not once but twice and actually steal aggro from the mob using a dk tank(as a hunter I have no aggro booster against these cause growl does not work on them) , then kite it until it evaded intentionally to steal the tap.

Well I killed one of these a few hours later and I got my drop which is the color I wanted anyway. I'll never have to farm these guys again while those hordies, assuming they don't get a wow vacation for cheating, will have a while yet to wait I'd bet.

Commento di Daniquee

I've been extremely lucky with this mount drop, got my own after the second kill. Unaware of the chance that the mount even drops. Took my friend along, on her first kill she got this mount aswell.

BM hunter and frost mage
We popped all CD's on start (time warp, stampede, rapid fire, bestial wrath, don't know about all the other mage spells)
It was quite easy to kill the warbringer like this with two people but i can manage to solo it as a BM hunter.

Soloing as a BM hunter, just pop all cooldowns on start with misdirection placed upon your pet, my pet is a spirit beast for extra heals. Its great to have the healing glyphs and passive healing talent. Get the misdirection glyph that resets the cooldown when placed on your pet, this way you wont need to feign death to reset agro. Pets do not taunt from what i have seen.

NOTE
Zandalari Warscouts spawn from the Warbringers spawnpoint, I haven't agro'd one they just seem to walk past you.

Commento di Pwuebear

When farming the warbringers for these mounts, I found it "slightly" tricky to distinguish between the slate and the amber direhorn. For anyone trying to pick up either of these as their last set of reins, it is worth to notice that this direhorn has blue eyes and tongue, whereas the amber direhorn has yellow eyes and tongue. As a reference, the jade direhorn has purple eyes and tongue, but overall sticks out more compared to the two others.

Yellow Eyes = Amber mount drop
Blue Eyes = Slate mount drop

I have a theory. I will test it out with more information, but here it is. I think only particular coloured Warbringers spawn in particular zones. i.e. In Krasarang I have killed the one with the red chair about 12 times, but not seen a different colour. I have seen the red chair also in the Jade Forest, but not elsewhere.

Let me get some more data and I will come back with some figures...

Commento di Jaydeetoo

Some facts;

There are 5 possible spawn points in Pandaria, and each spawn spot has a re-spawn timer of 30 to 60 minutes. Each spawn spot is independent of the others. There can be more than 1 up at once, all 5 can be up at once (I have killed 6 in a row, flying from one spot to the next, straight after a server restart, able to get 6 due to kind crz).

Here are the figures over a month of camping all five possible spawn points, checking to see whether different spots favour different Warbringers.

In Jade Forest, 47 kills; 17 Slate, 17 Amber, 13 Jade.
Dread Wastes, 40 kills; 14 Slate, 11 Amber, 15 Jade.
Townlong Steppes, 43 kills; 14 Slate, 13 Amber, 16 Jade.
Kun-Lai, 50 kills; 18 Slate, 12 Amber, 20 Jade.

Pretty even so far, absolutely.... But here it is,

Krasarang Wilds, 25 kills; 25 Slate, 0 Amber, 0 Jade.

I have 205 total kills, with 88 of them being slate.
(63 slate, 53 amber, 64 jade - taking out Krasarang)

The last mount for me to get was Jade, when it dropped I already had had 7 Slate mounts and 2 Amber mounts.

Can anyone else confirm this in Krasarang Wilds, or have I just had amazingly bad RNG?

Edit: updated the figures... Still the same result for Krasarang Wilds.

Commento di 1569868

I know 'I killed him here at this time' posts don't help, but I figured posting all of my kills tonight will help narrow down his spawn timer. So here are all my kills until I got my Slate to drop, good luck! ;)

1/6/16 - Krasarang Wilds (Hunting for the Slate warbringer, since all of these kills were ONLY slate)
3:50pm
4:32pm 42min
5:07pm 35min
5:45pm 38min
6:35pm 50min
7:23pm 48min
8:02pm 39min
8:34pm 32min
9:19pm 45min
10:07pm 48min
10:56pm 49min
11:38pm 42min

So looks like 30-50min is about right for his spawn timer. No saying if the others are similar, but this guy at least gave me these results today. Hope it helps someone! :)

You can now tag this mob with at least four of your friends, and each of you gets a chance at the mount and other loot. You cannot, however, share the tag with members of the other faction.

Happy farming!

Took me 75 Kills in Krasarang, hang in there!

Commento di sadistic12345

dropped one at 4AM, sometimes it has its perks to be a neet shut in antisocial loser

Commento di Dianora

I've already gotten one during WoD expansion. And now at the end of Legion expansion, I decided to adopt a park an alt at the spawn point strategy. This means I park 5 level 110 at their know spawn point. This way, I can get to each and every one of the spawn faster than people who flies from point to point.

Commento di 1842136

As of the new BFA Expac, this still drops :)
Got today on my 29th go from Slate Direhorns.
Amber has dropped twice for me so far on approx. 3rd and 5th kills.
Still waiting on Jade currently at 20 kills.

Commento di ItsFrshh

I successfully farmed the 3 Warbringer mounts over the last week or so very casually and figured I'd report my results:

I farmed the mounts using class trial characters on RP Realms. I made Druids simply because flight form was faster than mounting but any class works. When you make the class trial skip the intro by walking to the back of the zepplin/airship and mounting the windrider/gryphon. From there you'll be taken to SW or Org, where you'll go take the portal to Dalaran. *At this time select your Warmode setting, I had 2 characters per realm, one with Warmode on, one off. You can have up to 12 class trials and make up to 4 per hour*. From Dalaran take the portal to Shrine, and fly to your first target. I would log out if a warbringer wasnt up in the location and try another server/WM Phase, its not worth flying to all 5 locations just to find none are up. If the first was up I would fly to the next spawn point until I either farmed all 5 or ran into one that wasnt up at which point I'd switch over.

To get all 3 mounts took:
Slate - 45 Kills
Amber - 30 Kills
Jade - 28 Kills

The realms I used were:
Argent Dawn
Blackwater Raiders
Cenarion Circle
Earthen Ring
Steamwheedle Cartel (All US)

Total /played time between all class trials was about 4.5 hours.

Good luck and happy hunting!

Got this is on a second kill, the drop rate can impossible be that low?

Commento di wolffive0

The drop rate is not 4%. Unless I am extremely unlucky, I have gone from 0-exalted on all of the reputations that the warbringers drop on 2 characters and haven't seen a single mount.

Commento di kennytheger

There's a nice little island located at 40/66 in Karasang Wilds, I was farming for the rep tokens, but the mount dropped today, no other farmers nearby, every time I have been here I have found a Warscout. Worth a look on your travels!

Commento di osservatore

This was the 2nd warbringer mount I got, I did them back in 2013, hence I didn't count that precisely to know how many attempts per colour type, but I know it took 29 tries across all warbringer colors for this and killed all of them, got more of this and amber before jade finally dropped.

Commento di Ttwosgirl

When I started to farm these mounts. The amber dropped right off the bat, day 1. I am now on day 7 or 8 and needing Jade and Slate direhorns. Hubs got them in three days. What am I doing wrong?

Commento di Rudyone

Yes, it will took you propably long time to collect all 3 of them with 5% drop rate and random colour spawn, but you can make it little bit faster.

Some basic informations you are looking for:

Zandalari Warbringer - Reins of the Jade Primordial Direhorn
Zandalari Warbringer - Reins of the Amber Primordial Direhorn
Zandalari Warbringer - Slate Primordial Direhorn

YOU CANNOT LOOT THEM WITH TRIAL CHARACTER.
All of them have 5% drop chance for mount. You can get same mount drop multiple times. Each Warbringer drop specifically colour of Direhorn as have itself. Zandalari Warscout have 0.01% drop chance for mount. In each zone can spawn 2 Zandalari Warscout who then walk throughout the zone. If you wont found any Warbringer, try kill Warscouts, sometimes it help me spawn them.

They are sharing spawn locations:

/way Krasarang Wilds 39.08, 67.13
/way Dread Wastes 47.47, 61.32
/way Townlong Steppes 36.53, 85.67
/way Kun-Lai Summit 75.09, 67.65
/way The Jade Forest 52.73, 18.99

I started casually on my "main" character on high populated EU realm, spawn time for Zandalari Warbringer was pain, mainly if you want cover all 5 locations (it took about 3 hours), finally after about 6 kills Zandalari Warbringer I got my first Direhorn - Slate Primordial Direhorn.
The main problems of farming Direhorns is spawn time, people one shoting it (if they are from oposite faction or dont get you into group, your waiting time just reseted), 3 different Warbringer colours wich drop 3 specific coloured direhorn and multiple spawn locations all over Pandaria.

So I decided make 2 new characters on 2 different language low populated RP realms just for farming Warbringers. From 3 hour camping I can get 5 spawns with mobs up in about 10-15 minutes.

I didnt made any further notes about kill counts, but long story short:
1. - 13hours /played
2. - 14 hours /played
Both together:
3 characters all four reputations exalted (2 of them from neutral)
Jade Primordial Direhorn 4x
Slate Primordial Direhorn 3x (included one wich I didnt have)
Stolen Golden Lotus Insignia 56x
Stolen Shado-Pan Insignia 48x
Stolen Klaxxi Insignia - 39x
Stolen Celestial Insignia - 72x

Today I got my last mount Zandalari Warbringer - Reins of the Amber Primordial Direhorn.
A while later I headed to Timeless Isle to wait for the Huolon spawn and while I was trying to jump on the bridge to camp he appeared and unfortunately with an "out of range" bug. After a bit of searching, I found that a relog was enough to solve it. In the end, it turned out that my bad luck was super luck and I got my Reins of the Thundering Onyx Cloud Serpent on the very first kill :).

Good luck to everyone, sometimes it happens ;).

Some stats from me.

Dropped on:
1) Slate - 66
2) Amber - 54
3) Jade - 100! (can someone beat my record?)

Overall killed:
210+ slate - 10 reins
110+ amber - 6 reins
100 jade - 1 reins

So it looks like 4% is the true chance, but still it can drop from some unbelievable numbers. Never give up!
PS: Too late I learned that in Krasarang Wilds only slate is spawned (so kills in there was useless after slate drop)

Commento di Eliunestar

i always hate those people with the "it dropped on my first try!" since it never happens to me until now. i am one of those. decided to give it a go in shadowlands and this badboy dropped for me :D

Tips for hunting these.
1. Scouts appear before the Bringer. I've not seen them drop the mount, but that could be accounting for the .1% drop rate reported here. The reason these are important beyond rep tokens, is they help you set timers for war bringers at a 4% drop rate. So when multiple scouts go down you know time is getting short. I've seen scouts spawn in the order of scout/warbringer/scout, and scout/scout/warbringer. Never any other configurations have I seen. Regardless when they start popping it's time to sit park and clear the three and set timer for at least 30.
2. Being in a group of five to cover every spawn point is your best bet!
3. Remember that in old loot rules you cannot share tags outside of a group of 5.
4. Make sure you are not in a raid or you will not be able to loot.
5. As with all Rare hunting it is wise to use Add-Ons such as Silver Dragon for spotting rares and notifying you.
6. The spawn timers from my experience tend to vary, but one thing is for sure. After one point is downed you will not see anything for 30 minutes at least. So you can move to the next spot if doing this without full group. (keeping track of spawn times is essential for farming).
7. Something so many people forget. With looting you need tag or to be close. Best bet is tag as a group before kill. You should not body pull any rare and expect to hold it, TLPD, Aeonaxx, or these. Anyone swinging by can give you a bad experience. So to give yourself the tag without killing the rare it is imperative that you cast something on it that doesn't do damage. Below I will link my Macro I use for these guys. Note that my cast in the Macro gives me tag without dealing damage until my group can arrive. You can sub my dispel magic out with anything including a damaging spell for solo farming. Instant tag on target. Please believe this is very important. Especially in group hunting for important rares. An accidental kill will cause a lot of heart ache. Remember after you have tag to target only yourself so you don't accidentally auto attack it.

/targetexact Zandalari Warbringer
/targetexact Zandalari Warscout
/run local N = UnitName("Target");if N and (N=="Zandalari Warbringer") then PlaySound(13363);print(date(),N,"Found");SetRaidTarget("target",8);end
/cast dispel magic

Waypoints:
/way The Jade Forest 52.56 18.90 Zandalari Warbringer
/way Townlong Steppes 36.73 85.57 Zandalari Warbringer
/way Krasarang Wilds 38.96 67.66 Zandalari Warbringer
/way Kun-Lai Summit 75.04 67.03 Zandalari Warbringer
/way Dread Wastes 47.25 61.55 Zandalari Warbringer

Commento di Fondoor

This seems to be the more common drop of the three, as I have had this mount drop twice so far and haven't gotten either of the other two yet.

Edit: Make that 3 times.

Three Variations
All of these rare mobs have the same name, but are different in color and have a chance to drop their respective mount in that same color.

Five Different Spawn Points
Each rare can spawn in five different locations throughout Pandaria.

/way #371 52.56 18.90 Zandalari Warbringer

Commento di soleilles

Today I got all three. It seems the spawn timer is a fixed 20 minute now. This discovery allowed me to do a very reliable cycle and all kills were guaranteed to be mine even on a very populated server. I did it on reset day on my day off and it took a couple hours (okay I did this for 8 hours straight...).

Set your Hearthstone to this guy in Krasarang Wilds

Let's start for example by porting to Jade Forest. You go first to the Kun-Lai Summit spawn point /way #379 75 67
Then continue to Jade Forest /way #371 52 18
Then you Hearthstone to Krasarang Wilds and fly to the spawn point very close to the inn /way #418 39 67
Then continue to Dread Wastes /way #422 47 61
And finally Townlong Steppes /way #388 36 85
Here you can use Dalaran Hearthstone to quickly get back to the Kun-Lai spawn point by taking the Orgrimmar Portal and the Jade Forest portal and start the cycle again

The mobs spawned either seconds after my arrival or at most a minute later, so it was kill, dragon flight quickly to the next one (using every speed possible) and repeat. Only exception is Dread Wastes, there I always had 5 or so minutes of waiting which was to be honest quite welcome because as I said, I did this for hours. As I flew to Townlong Steppes my Dalaran HS had only 1 minute left on it, then as the mob spawns only 20-30 sec cooldown left on it, quick bag check, Dalaran Port and repeat the whole cycle.

Since the Dread Wastes wait was always a longer one and the Townlong Steppes was always up just as my Dalaran Hearthstone went off cooldown, I assume the spawn timer is fixed to 20 minutes.

Happy farming!

PS.: quick stats: got Slate in 20, Jade in 24 and the Amber took most with 48 tries.
