In order to capture a soul with Gabbia dell'Anima Vuota (crafted by Oreficeria), the elemental must die while casting Inalatore d'Anima Ultraccelerato (crafted by Ingegneria). The best method is to use dots, as well as stuns to prevent any abilities that may interrupt the cast. Once you receive the soul. do not open the item until the "Encaged" turns into "Docile", which will happen once the 15-minute timer expires. Docile souls may contain pets, but the majority of the time it will contain the elemental crafting reagent,

What worked for me was going to The Storm Scar at Ohn'ahran Plains. There are NPCs at 26.02, 38.75 that will kill mobs, and there is a Stormbound Colossus that patrolls around at 24.77, 37.42 that you can pull to the NPCs. The catch is that first you have to kill the non-elite mobs that stand between the Stormbound Colossus and the NPCs, or else they'll all aggro on you.

There is another Stormbound Colossus at 24.23, 39.43 that you can pull to the same NPCs. This one has a good chance of leashing, though, so make sure you keep hitting it while you're kiting it to the NPCs.

The Spirito della Burrasca, which has a small chance to drop from Anima Ariosa Docile, was the second of the four elemental spirits that I grinded for. It took me 29 Anima Ariosa Docile (in comparison, the Spirito della Marea took me 31 Anima Gelida Docile, the Spirito di Polvere took me 16 Anima Terrigena Docile, and the Spirito Infiammato took me 68 Anima Ardente Docile.
