Perhaps daily in the Emerald Dreamway you will see an emote in your chat log referencing a feral screech coming from one of the portals. Cross through that portal, look for the nearby moonstone, and touch it. Rinse and repeat this for several days until Ela'lothen, the Moonspirit (Owlcat) Wild God shows itself and gives you the feather. Wowhead has three buffs with the same name but different spell IDs associated with the moonspirit; this seems to indicate that there are three moonstones that need to be touched before Ela'lothen will reveal himself.

Also heard the screech. Looked for it near the tower and didn't find it. I kept roaming around for some mins and i found it near a little house next to a tower on the south east corner. Different spawn points confirmed.

Requirement gate:

The requirement to receive the feral screech emote is from reaching artifact research level 4. Which was posted by Balticbear in the comments, and many others have confirmed it here, and on other forums.

Overview of the Feather of the Moonspirt:

After finishing the requirement of reaching artifact research level 4, you will start to receive an emote in the Emerald Dreamway about a feral screech coming from one of the three portals: Hinterlands, Duskwood, or Feralas. To confirm that you have you have finished the requirement, and will receive the emote, use the first dump command listed below labeled “daily dreamway event roll”. The daily dreamway event roll quest will decide once per day if you will receive an emote, or not. It will read “true” after you enter the quest trigger area inside the Emerald Dreamway. The quest trigger area is between the location you spawn in after using the dreamwalk ability, and the start of the bridge to the Dreamgrove in the Emerald Dreamway. (I am working on mapping out the area in the beta.)

The feral screech emote in the Emerald Dreamway will either say:

“You hear a strange feral screech coming from the Hinterlands portal.”
“You hear a strange feral screech coming from the Duskwood portal.”
“You hear a strange feral screech coming from the Feralas portal.”

After you go through the Hinterlands, Duskwood, or Feralas portal you will need to search for the grey owlcat stone in the area around the portal. Here are the cords of the stones we have gathered so far:

Hinterlands: (64,24), (68,36), (60,33), (60,29), (58,32), (60,28), (68,24), (67,31), (66, 37.4), (57, 34)
Duskwood: (45,45), (43,38), (42,38), (45,36), (48,44), (44,35), (48.93, 38.75), (48.93, 38.75)
Feralas: (48,6), (54,6), (51,11), (52,6), (50,15), (52,15), (52,10), (51,8), (53,14), (51,10), (53.81 14.93), (54.34, 10.30), (54, 15), (48, 10)

After you click on the stone you will receive a buff called Mark of the Moonspirit, which says “A strange power passes through you and then subsides…”, and will last for 20 seconds. An emote will also appear saying “You hear something dart away behind you… and then just silence.” The stone will disappear and the dump command for the owlcat stone touched will read “true”. The owlcat stone touched for that portal will stay true the next day.

Nutrichopa was the first to find the feral hidden artifact skin. From Nutrichopa comment below after all three stones (Hinterlands, Duskwood, and Feralas) have been touched once per day with the owlcat stone touched true for all three. Return back to the Emerald Dreamway, and Ela'lothen "The Moonspirit" will be in the middle of the zone. To receive the Feather of the moonspirit you must be in cat form when you /sit next to Ela'lothen, it will then show up in your inventory.

Here are the quest dumps we have been using to see if they are true or false related to the roll to receive the emote that day, when the stone is active, and when we touch the stone.

Yesterday I touched the first moonstone after getting the first screech near the Feralas portal. Today, I received one near the Hinterlands portal, touched the moonstone there. Roughly three hours later, I port to the Emerald Dreamway to head to the Dreamgrove, and as soon as I zone in, I get a screech emote near the Duskwood portal. I touched the moonstone there and got the same silence emote and buff. So that means it's definitely NOT the third time - it's probably random.
Edit: One day later, and I have not received the emote the entire day.
Two days later, and I haven't received the emote today.
Three days later, no emote.
Four days later, no emote. I am wondering if it isn't linked to weekly reset - three moonstones/events a week, maybe?
Five days later, I receive an emote! It's Monday so it doesn't seem to be weekly. Purely random, I guess. Unfortunately, I got the silence emote again.

Unfortunately, I have yet to see the feral screech emote! I'm wondering if completing all the main questlines unlocks it - I'll post if anything happens.
As the posts above say, you start to get the emote after Artifact Knowledge level 4. I reached level four yesterday and did not get the emote, but instantly today when I logged in I got it.
Edit: It's been found! Looks like it was just bugged. All that's needed (see Nutrichopa's post) is to touch the three stones, as we thought, and return to the Dreamway and interact with Ela'lothen. We can finally be beautiful!

On beta, received my second screech tonight, in guardian spec, with guardian artifact equipped. Rode into the dreamway from the order hall. First time I got a screech (three weeks ago), ported in, feral spec, fangs equipped.
Both screeches from Feralas portal. Two different moonstones.

This post is to fill in any gaps of information if you are confused by the top post and do not want to dig around in the WoW forums.

First off, a lot of people are confused. To get most of the artifact skins, you do not need to be 110. However, most of them are gated behind 110 achievements, content (such as Suramar) or raids.

This hidden skin is NOT necessarily needed to be 110, however, the requirement for the hidden skin is gated behind artifact research 4.

After the requirement is met, randomly when you are in the Emerald Dreamway you will see an emote about feral screeching from behind one of the portals. The area that you would also hear screeches is from your spawn-in point in the Dreamway to the bridge leading to the Dreamgrove.

One of the exact emotes is:
"You hear a strange feral screech coming from the Hinterlands portal."
Once you go to the other side, supposedly an Owlcat Stone is supposed to be there in the active area.

There are three stones:
The Hinterlands
Feralas
Duskwood

After you touch the stones in some order or however many times, and get the "positive" input (see: Archiux post pertaining to the "positive" and false ID's) you should immediately go back to the Dreamway. Once you are there, you will see Ela'lothen in the middle.

When you see him in the Dreamway, you run back over to him and /sit in front of him. After that, you get awarded with this feather.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

You do not need to be in feral spec to receive the emotes.

Do you need to be in feral to get the screech? I have tried going to the dreamway in feral, and other specs and I have done that questline and have yet to receive a screech at all, so I am just wondering if my spec matters.

I want to add my two cents here. I've been researching this as much as I can since Legion launched.

Using this command:
/dump IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(44326) (daily dreamway event roll)
I've tested various states to see what triggers the emotes.

I tested before and after the owlcat quest line in Suramar and it was false, so I don't think it triggers the event.

I also ran the command before and after finishing the druid campaign & it was false as well.

After reading the 9+ pages on the official forums (mentioned at the top of these comments: http://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20745674925?page=6) and everything here, The only thing I see in common with people that are getting the emote is Artifact knowledge of 7. In fact, one person got the emote right after getting their artifact knowledge up to 7.

Artifact knowledge 7 gives part 4 of our lore, I'm trying to figure out what it talks about. (I'm starting to bet it may be owlcats)

My question is, has anyone seen the emote on live? It looks like all the accounts of seeing the emote were on beta. As live artifact knowledge can't be 7 yet. it would make sense that this was seen on beta.

I'll be getting on the beta tonight to test some things and will report back here.

(I may be incorrect with some of this, please correct me if so, I only want to help figure this out. I would love to share theories and knowledge so comment away!)

Edit: It looks like this theory is false. People have seen the screech while under 7 artifact knowledge. A theme that is still reoccurring is the event triggering after gaining a rank of AK... I hope that is not true!

hello people,
I don't really post much and this is my first post but I read the artifact hidden appearances post for my MM artifact skin. And I kept reading and I saw the OwlCat form post and I thought it is very interesting.
Today when I was just questing through Surmar, I ran through some events and I felt that they might be linked to one another. I myself am not Feral Druid and don't have one to check this out but if someone has please try this thing out.

I came around this NPC named Madranel Forestheart Mardranel Cuorforesta, I don't remember how I got in contact with this guy exactly but he gave me last quest to return 7 owlcat cubs back to their nest or habitat or elder ones whatever you can say. I did that and then an interesting event took place.

The targeted beast is King of Feathermane named Yowlon and the whole thing seems really very interesting as the beast gave it's feather to that npc and maybe MAYBE if you are feral druid that npc might offer you that feather. You never know... so people out there try and let me know if I am right or wrong this is just an idea that clicked in my head but people out there with feral druids can try this... :)

09:15 AM Server time on Ravenholdt-EU, i just heard the Feral Screech come from Feralas portal and found the Stone on 54/15 Coordinates, got all the emotes as described in Archiux's post!

EITHER THEY HOTFIXED IT OR I DID SOMETHING FOR THE CRITERIA, EITHER WAY IT'S ON LIVE.

As for speculation on why i got it, i got the emote when i made a portal to Dreamwalk after i got my 4th level of artifact research

EDIT 2: Reportedly people have already received two emotes since yesterday, while i, myself, am yet to receive any other than my first - my guess is the screeches are COMPLETE RNG afterwards of AK 4, so i can only wish all of you - good luck.

EDIT 5:Finally after 11 days i got my 3rd Screech in Duskwood, but when i went in to Dreamway i didn't find Ela'Lothen anywhere - This is because apparently there was a bug that didn't count your progress of the stones, and they only fixed it recently deleting all the progress in the process...So if you're a person like me who was been doing this for 11 days now with horrid rng, rest assured Blizzard has found a way to screw it up EVEN MORE. Just got AK 4 today and ran /dump IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(44326), it was false before i used AK, true after i used it and got to AK lvl 4.

No screeches sofar tho.

20-09: Ran the command again just right now (9;15 AM Server time EU), and it was false(Ran true 2 minutes later), still no screeches for me......

Hello I have been wondering for a while how to get the event for the screech and not quite a lot of people seem to have the same variable. Except today 2 people in my guild told me that they got their first screech afret they got to Revered Dreamweavers and or got their 4rth artifact history. So here I am 8 hours away from completing 4th artifact history scroll and about 2k rep from reaching Revered.

Just went into the Dreamway today on Live and checked the quest dumps as per usual.

Quest 44326 (Daily Dreamway event roll) was flagged as true.

Reached Artifact Knowledge 4 this morning.

No screech emote though. I guess I'll be here all day teleporting out and in.

Just got a screech as well for the hinterlands portal, i cant remember the exact coords for the moonstone, but it was not very far from where you exit the portal into the hinterlands. (just after i hit AK4)

I teleported to the Dreamway and was prompted to go to the Hinterlands through this emote:

'You hear a strange feral screech coming from the Hinterlands portal."

After searching around the portal, I found my stone at (66,38), right along the rivers edge south of the portal. When clicked, the stone gives you a short buff along with this dialogue:

"You hear something dart away behind you... and then just silence."

Just reached AK4 and teleported to the Dreamway. Got the Hinterlands screech and found my stone at (58.11, 18.05). On top of the 'walkway' on one of the ruins there. I also submitted a screenshot. It seems to be limited to the Dreamgate area.

Picked up AK4 and about an hour or 2 later got the screech for Duskwood the stone was (42,38). Didn't see anything around when i got the debuff and nothing happened when i returned to the dreamway. My guess is that the buff will lead to something in that zone gonna try to find something in the zone next time hopefully. Have completed the class hall and done the suspected quest in Suramar even though I don't think they are required.

09:20 Servertime on Frostmane(EU), none of the new patch features are available but I just got the emote for the Feralas portal and found the moonstone, interacts and received another emote. I was in Balance Spec, artifact research 4, with all dungeons and major questlines completed. I have unlocked every artifact, with Feral being my least-progressed.

Used my Dreamwalk spell, got the first emote instantly. "You hear a strange feral screech towards the Duskwood gateway". After walking through the duskwood portal and clicked on the stone (45,45), the second emote appeared. "You hear something dart away behind you... and then just silence."

So, yesterday (US Blackwater Raiders) once the raids were live, got the emote for Duskwood. Today, got it for Hinderlands.

I have done all the quests listed, so I can't say what else was required, but so far 2 days consecutively. Will update tomorrow if I get it again.

I will note I missed the first emote, but happened to run the macro later - so check your macros even if you're not sure.

So it seems that the quest doesn't always show as true.
I checked all the quests today before i ported to the dreamwalk, and they all showed false. Even after getting to the dreamwalk, they showed false.

Even after i got the third emote in the chat, it showed as false. But it turned to true AFTER i found the stone.
I have however not yet received the hidden artifact skin, despite touching 3 stones in all 3 areas. So there may be more to it than just that.

After getting AK 4 and running around to get world quests done on time, TP'd to the Dreamway and got my first screech at 9:45 EST for the Hinterlands portal. I didn't know what it was about and went on to do more world quests. Came back around 10:15 EST, didn't get a screech, but went to the Hinterlands portal anyways. After searching for roughly 15 minutes, I found the stone at (68:24) and got the buff.

I'm mainly posting here because I looked up the isQuestFlagged command 10 minutes into searching for the stone and it read as false. I also took off for 45 minutes doing other things, including TPing to the Dreamway on several occasions before finally deciding to go check out the Hinterlands. I also want to include I got the screech in Guardian spec, but after flying around Hinterlands for 10 minutes I swapped over to Feral to see if the stone would show up just in case if it was spec specific. I don't know 100% if this alters anything, but just to be safe I would suggest going into feral spec before touching the stone or spending a great deal of time looking for it.

I have searched every single possible known spot in Feralas for my Stone.

I have met all the prerequisites for this hidden artifact skin with no luck so far with finding the stone even though I have flown around and even walked to each possible area to find it. Is anyone else having this problem?

I had the emote spawn telling me to come here and I have seen 5 Druids now find their stone in the same spot and I have been looking for almost an hour and a half now.

Got the screech today in Resto spec for the Duskwood portal.
Make sure you are at least in cat form before you click the stone in order to get the 20 second buff and the emote.
Will update when I get the other 2 portals.

Edit: Must be different for everyone because I clicked it several times and it only worked in cat form. Tried it again today in feralas, did not work unless I was in cat form. The druid next to me was even super confused as to why the clicking wasn't working, told him to go cat form and it worked for him. But thanks for the downvotes anyway. :) Guess people don't want all the info possible so I'll just continue on getting my feather without posting anymore.

Got my first screech today for The Hinterlands portal, and found my moonstone at 58.15, 18.08. Seems like something is missing with the buff Marchio dello Spirito Lunare and the second emote. I find when looking for moonspirit an NPC that is called the moonspirit Ela'lothen. I'm guessing Ela'lothen is the reclusive wild god we take the feather from. How to find it or kill it is a mystery though.

Me and another druid found a Feralas Stone at the same time in the same location so for anyone who can't find theirs it might be useful to ask around and see if anyone else has found it that day. Maybe the location stays the same for each player and only changes based on days.

Also I got a repeat, Feralas twice so it doesn't seem guaranteed that you will get all of the screeches the first 3 times.

Found another in Hinterlands at the same location as another druid. seems to stay consistent between locations and days for each person.

oddly enough I had rank 4 a few days ago and never got a screech, but today I hit revered with dreamweavers and I bought the moonfeather statue and used it, went to dreamway and had a hinterlands screech right away

Well I've been at AK4 for a fair few days now and not had a single screech. Although it does come back as true on the questflagged command, I'm wondering if theres something else I'm missing or if its the RNG gods hating on me again.

Edit: So not long after I posted this I got a screech coming from the duskwood portal, where I found the stone within seconds. At least now I know its working and its a case of being patient :)

Perhaps someone can help me out here with an answer. After hitting AK4 I got my first screech within minutes, it was the one in The Hinterlands. However, it's been 2 days since then and I have not heard a single screech (or received the emote). How does this work? I thought it was meant to be a daily thing.

After reading someone had done major questlines, artifact research 4, and unlocked all artifacts. When the screech appeared to him.
I was missing the major guestlines without ever seeing the emote, so i did thouse.

As i finished the guests in Highmountains, still having some in another zone. Used the portal to the Dreamway and the screech to Hinterlands appeared.

Can someone confirm this happend to them aswell?

Now i'm waiting for the two others to pop.

For those who - like me - was wondering what to look for: the stone is a piece of dark rock, about gnome-size, with a yellowish paw mark on it. At least that's what mine in Hinterlands looked like.

Got the emote today to go to Feralas, checked the script and it said the stone was active. Went through the portal and checked all known coords, nothing. I then decided to go "manual" check the entire area and found the stone at 51,15 beneath the tree...just north of the small moonwell and those tents...directly south from the portal.

I received the Duskwood screech yesterday and then this morning, after reset, I received the Hinterlands screech. I noticed that the dump for the Hinterlands stone touch check went to true (as expected) when I did it but the Duskwood touch check now shows false. Did anyone obtain this appearance on the beta to confirm that we aren't missing something or is this just the expected behavior?

I haven't received another screech yet to test this myself, but has anyone tried maybe stealthing and/or using feral tracking to see if there's anything hiding around while we have the buff from the stone? I have a nagging feeling there's a step that needs to be done within the feral stone buff's window. Prehaps even going back into the dreamway with the buff up and trying searching/stealthing/tracking there. Will test stuff out once i get another screech.

I have gotten three screeches, Feralas, The Hinterlands and Duskwood. I've used the dump command every time after clicking a stone and this said 'true' - So I had assumed, that after my 'last' one (which was in Duskwood) I wouldve gotten the spirit to appear to grand me her feather, this however, didnt happen. The normal '"You hear something dart away behind you... and then just silence." was said in my chat, and nothing happend.

I made a ticket about this, asking if this was a bug - I was told that it wasnt.

A large part of the game is about exploring and discovering, it's normal for there to sometimes be puzzles to solve!

The support team are unable to provide game play help, that's something you'll need to work out yourself, or with other players.

Don't forget to check in all the zones!

Another good idea is to look at fansites, like wowhead.com. You can find entire lists of quests chains there.

So here I am, I dont like to be ungrateful that I have gotten screeches in all the zones, but I was under the impression that after three, you get the feather, I was so excited :-(

Does anyone have any clue as to what happens now? Is there a fourth screech? Does the circle need to go around? Did I miss something?

There's obviously something we are missing and I feel the fact that people are getting screeches for areas they have already gotten proves that.

Has anyone ever tried to search for what ever is supposedly behind us when we click on the stone? Perhaps in those few seconds that we have Marchio dello Spirito Lunare we are suppose to search for what ever it is that ran off. It could also be that we simply aren't guaranteed to get the feather and that every time you click the stone you just have a chance to get it.

just tested it today, still no screech, level 4 AK, completed owl quest series, class hall still no screech. Dreamway comes up as true but all the zones come up as false, so I should be getting screeches I think? But none so far.

After having previously completed the campaign, I hit AK4 just a few minutes prior to getting my first screech in the Dreamway!
Teleported through the Duskwood portal, found it quickly to the left of the portal by a tree. (Can't remember the cords).
Haven't had any more screeches since but I have the feeling that Druids wishing to get this appearance are going to have to do a little bit more than just find the stones once in each zone, based on what people have said on here/forums.
There's probably something we're missing.

3rd screech today, nothing happened after clicking the stone, just the usual something was there now it's gone

I'm assuming were missing something obvious with this.

Has anyone had the battle pet Lurking owl kitten present with them during the screech and clicking of the stone?
Only reason i ask is because i get no interaction noise when i click on him, pretty sure most if not all my other pets have something when clicked.

Or maybe tried to interact with the kitten with the buff present?

So I recieved my first Screech today for duskwood.
I am seeing alot of people have gotten 3 screeches for Duskwood. Ferals and Hinterlands.
I am suspecting that after we gain more artifact research we will be given more Screeches
(Grizzly Hills, Mount Hyjal, Moonglade) seeing as we had to progess to get the first three. It would seem logical that we would need to use every portal in the emerald dream for this quest.

Ok i just noticed something odd about this item. In the items tooltip it says "A single feather from the reclusive wild god. With it, a Druid of the Claw could learn to master a previously unseen form". Now this makes me wonder because if our class hall is anything to go by our recruits, the Druids of the Claw, their tooltip on the class hall bar on top of your screen says this, " Master Shapeshifters, the Druids of the Claw invoke the power of the bear, taking the shape of the beast and utilizing its strength and resilience to ravage their enemies".

It's weird how the feral item references bear druids. I found this description on wow wiki detailing the Druids of the Claw.

"A druid of the claw is a class of druid. They were invaluable during the Third War. Their totem is the bear, and they use the bear's strength and resilience to ravage their enemies in close combat. Perhaps more than any other druid, Druids of the claw focus on combat prowess, preferring raw strength and staying power to stealth and subtlety.

Reading a lot of theories by people over here and on some other forums led me to a obvious conclusion. I have a feeling this is a just a simple and completely RNG event. Considering that some other specs have their hidden appearances to be a very rare drops from bosses (like Guardian Druids as well), etc. makes me think this works in a similar way as well.

Each day when you portal to the Emerald Dreamway you have a hidden roll whether or not the screech will appear to you. If it appears, you go through the portal, find the stone and click on it...then the game does another RNG roll whether the "seclusive Wild God" will appear to you or will run away and you get just silence.

Now since you require certain AK, level 4 to be exact, I believe the chance increases progressively as you increase your AK.

So there you have it. I don't think there is anything special we are missing here, we just refuse to believe this is based on "good old" RNGesus. Hopefully I am proven wrong but I doubt it...

Want to just get some clarification, Got level 4 Artifact Power a week ago, and since then I've had 2 screeches. Both of these have been Hinderlands.

Now when i do the /dump IsQuestFlaggedCompleted it shows that Hinderlands is false both for being active and touched.

Is there something you have to do after you touch it?

So since i got to Ak4, i have got 3 screeches in 4 days now and it was always in feralas. Two times the stone was behind the log at 52.0;6 and the third time it was beneath two small trees at 52.8;15.4.

Got my first screech today, however it did NOT happen as I ported into the Dreamway. I was already in there and running around afk basically. I went over by the portal that doesn't go anywhere - I think it's the one we come through in the beginning quest. After I went by that portal, I went back to the center and heard a screech from the Hinterlands. So I took the portal and found the stone pretty quickly and got the same emote "You hear something dart away behind you and then just silence"

I am starting to wonder if there is another part to this we are missing that is tied behind more AK or something. I have been researching this as much as I can and everyone seems to be stuck at the same spot. There is a forum on mmo-champion about this as well. Here is a list of things from there that have been tried while the buff is active and some I have added myself that don't do anything to effect the buff or stone. Maybe it can help narrow down what to do to achieve the next step instead of just silence.

What does not take effect when used before or after touching the stone:
- death,
- Skagglydrynk,
- Moonfeather Statue (revered Dreamweavers toy),
- all emotes,
- running around (searching),
- beast tracking/track humanoids
- all druid forms,
- stampeding roar/dash/displacer beast
- "Flap" while in Moonkin form,
- running to Dreamway before buff runs out,
- stealth,
- Owlkitten pet
- Nature's Beacon (druid only toy)
- Dreamwalk
- Berglrgl Perrgl Girggrlf (egg toy)
- Invisibility potions

I have tried checking all the other portals for another stone after getting a screech for one and the same zone for more than one stone but so far no luck. I even went as far as doing old quests in Winterspring that have a owlbeast moon-totem that looks the same as the stones we are clicking on to see if that has anything to do with it and seems not. Hoping this is figured out soon, it is driving me crazy!

So I received my first screech just after AK4, nothing since and now am AK5, ported to Dreamgrove several times a day in the meantime.

I was reading about the hidden prot warrior artifact and for that they basically keep logging in and out and checking if an event is active, so I just wonder if that would work for druids. Logging in and out of the Dreamgrove and seeing if they hear the screech, I will try it when I get home tonight and see what happens.

Got my 2nd screech and stone today and did nothing with the short buff and started thinking. since the stones could spawn in the farthest reaches away from the portal i think its unrealistic that you have to make it back through.and click something.

I strongly believe that you're supposed to scour the area while u have the buff to find a dropped feather, id hope it would be on the ground but it could probably be in a tree. the 3 quests markers make me believe that you can only find it after u clicked the 3rd. If all that fails then yeah, him waiting instead of running away is tied behind a higher AK

Could anyone confirm to me that:
Being in Feral spec does not always send you to Hinterlands,
Being in Guadian spec does not always send you to Feralas,
Being in Balance or Restoration does not always send you to Duskwood (I am not sure which spec is tied to duskwood).
Portal zones are locked by specialization? (4 Stones 4 specialization)

I've noticed that Feral druids are often the one that get send to Hunterlands and Guadians to Feralas. Could anyone confirm to me that, that is not the case.

Has anybody paid attention to beast tracking on minimap while clicking the stone?

I'm getting AK 4 in 6 hours, so I haven't had a chance to test it, but it seems that it might be plausible that we can track and chase him?

I can confirm that after AK 4 you get your first screech.... my issue is that i have gotten all 3 screeches on live and clicked the stones to get the buff but still have yet to get the appearance ..... is there something i am missing?

I have AK5 and received all three screeches and stones, so upon logging in the last couple of days, I noticed I haven't received anything and left it at that. But upon reading some other posts and using the dump log I get the following results now, and no npc appeared that I could talk to to get the feather on the third screech.

So I got my 2nd screech from the hinterlands today and found it rather easily. However I noticed after using the /dump command for duskwood where I had a previous screech, it read false for the stone to have been touched. Is it not a possibility that the screech leads you to the first of a chain of stones within the area that you need to find yourself? The emote it leaves behind (You hear something dart away behind you... and then just silence.) almost makes me believe its taunting you to look for it, but within that said zone. The fact the /dump command for hinterlands is saying the stone is still active makes me believe you are supposed to go searching.

I will have a look around for an hour or so before work and see if I notice anything.

I didn't start checking the /dumps until just before my first Duskwood. At the time, all were FALSE. Since then, each day I check before reset and after screeches. Each day my progress seems to fully reset. Yesterday, for example, I had Feralas as TRUE. Today, it is FALSE, and Hinterlands is now TRUE.

I am AK5 now, and no signs this is going anywhere but nowhere. Anyone else having these issues?

I had this screech appear when i reached research level 4, but unfortunately it was only the day after that i found the forums about this hidden appearance, and the stone is nowhere to be found now.
There is something I wanted to try out, but unfortunately with no moonstone it is impossible. Maybe you all can have a go at it and post your findings. I have read lots of posts and no one has mentioned it so far, so here goes:

-There are three portals with moonstones.
- While leveling up to 110 I came across 3 stones that seemed useless, since the quest they where related to was easy and done in 2 mins.
- I always kept one in my bags, and am now wondering if they might be related to this secret appearance somehow (maybe activating one (before or after touching the moonstone) depending on the drawing on the moonstone).
- the items are: Relic of Elune (moonkin), Relic of Shakama (feral) and Relic or Ursol (bear) and can be found in the Smolderhide Thicket area in Val'sharah.

So wish i could've tried this for myself...

However on the 5th day i received a 4th emote to go to duskwood which i just previously went to 2 days ago. I am no just what caused me to get a emote to go to the same zone but i do not yet have the hidden appearance who have been confronted by anyone to receive it.

As soon as I got AK 4, I got a screech for Hinterlands, then Duskwood, Duskwood again, and then Feralas. Then on the next day, the daily event roll flag was true for me, but I did not get any screech. I ran the script and it was showing the daily roll as true, but all "stones active" was false and "stones touched" false as well....

Chatting to folks on the Discord group and realized something new happened to me.

Yesterday (Monday, Sep. 26th) i got the screech for Hinterlands, touched the stone at (/way 58.16 18.04).
My dump command was returning true for Event roll, Hinterlands stone Active and Hinterlands stone Touched.

Today i got a second screech (same emote words) from Duskwood, touched the stone at (/way 50.71 44.90).
After that, my dump command is reading true for the Event roll, Duskwood stone active, Duskwood stone touched and the 'new' part, Hinterlands still says true for touched.

Update: After many tests, we noticed that if you log off in the Dreamway (the room with the portals, not the orderhall) you don't lose the 'true' value for the stone touched for the zone that day.

Our theory is that once you have 'true' for all 3 zones (Duskwood, Hinterlands and Feralas) Ela'lothen will show up to give you the feather.

Another place to look around is in the Emerald Dream after you kill Xavius. Since we're druids there may be a hidden item or something we need to find/interact with either at any time or after touching 1 or 3 stones.

For those that already have the hidden appearance, Here's how to track your hidden artifact appearance color variants through achievement progress:

Full guide on how to achieve the feral hidden skin
First off, to clear any doubts: the feral hidden skin is gated behind artifact knowledge lvl 4.

Once you achieve AK4 you will randomly get ONE screech PER DAY until you touch all 3 stones.
Note: You dont need to touch them consecutively, you can touch one every week and they will still count.
Note2: You dont need to touch them in a specific order either.

To know if you are eligible to get the screeches you can (but not must) use this macro:
/dump IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(44326) (daily dreamway event roll)
If it returns true but you dont get the emote when you are in the Dreamway (portal zone) you will have to wait another day (there is no point in relogging or porting in and out).

You shall recieve the emote from any point inside the Dreamway. Spec/lootspec dont matter.

The emote you recieve inside the Dreamway is:
"You hear a strange feral screech coming from the Hinterlands portal."
It will tell you where does the screech come from and you need to go in that direction to do the 2nd step.

Once you get to the other side of the portal you must find an owlcat stone.
Note: I found it faster to just go arround checking every tree than looking for coordinates... once i knew how the stone was i only needed 5 min at max to find them.

If you find it and click it a buff should appear (Mark of the Moonspirit) and the second emote with it:
"A strange power passes through you and then subsides…"
When the buff expires you will get even another emote:
"You hear something dart away behind you… and then just silence.”

After getting the 3 (one from each zone) stones touched when you return to the Dreamway you should be able to see Ela'Lothen "The Moonspirit" in the middle of the Dreamway sitting still.
The only thing you need to do when you see him is /sit in front of him and you will be rewarded with the Feather of the Moonspirit
Note: you need to be in cat form!

The Moonspirit will appear in Dreamway and if you /sit to him, you'll get a feather in your bags

The skin has been found (not by me), and it's simply activating all stones and returning to the Dreamway. Apparently it was bugged after all.

Now the only thing to fix is the daily event roll. It's simply just odd, that some people get no screeches at all for extended periods off time - personally I'm at 9 days without a single screech after the event roll being turned to true - while the majority seems to get them daily (or at least almost).

I've clicked about 4-5 stones so far, but nothing special has happened. But last night I noticed a weird buff at the top of the screen.

I just suddenly received a buff for 2 minutes, with the text “Moonspirit Feather”, and “You feel something tickling your head”. The icon was a dark-colored feather. Now…is that a buff you can get from a toy or something? Cause I couldn’t find any toy that would give such weird buff.

I received that buff around 6 hours after touching the moonstone.

Today i got feral skin unlocked you need artifact knowlege 4 you need to get 3 stones i got 2 from feralas 1 from duskwood when u get your 3 stone and buff you yust wait till buff is gone en go to dreamwalk then you see in middle of the dreamwalk big feral lothrien i think you got and ( sit ) next to him he will give you feather of the moonspirit then go feral form and click on feather of the moonspirit in your bag then u unlock hidden potential Goodluck ferals

Last week, right after I got AK 4, I got the Hinterlands' screech. In the days after I got Feralas twice. (see screenshot) Today I got the Duskwood screech and I thought I was done. But when I returned to the Dreamway I did not find the spirit there. Then I used the dump commands posted earlier and it only shows I completed the Duskwood stone. Has anyone else got this issue? It seemed the questline was bugged so did everyone's questline reset once they fixed that bug? Or is it reset each weekly reset or does the progress carry over?

I hade my first feral emote for Duskwood Gateway 6 days ago! I found the stone which I used and got the buff plus the emote that something moved behind me and then silence. But since then its only silence! Never had the emote again! Anything I am missing?

Ever since I started this, most all of my screeches have come from the Duskwood portal, and I have gotten every single one (about 5 now). Only other time one popped up from another portal was the very first one (last week), but I never found the stone and it was in Feralas. Ever since then, it's been sending me to Duskwood. I hope this is just a bug and I get a new portal soon.. :(

So I went a head and talk to a Gm on live chat about the past moonstones and they said they could not do anything. So I am guessing that we may have to click all 3 all over again because it seems there may have been a secret "hotfix" that may have reseted our progress.

I know the search for the Hidden Artifact Appearances can definitely be frustrating. Rest assured though, your character isn't "broken" with obtaining the appearance, and its all actually working correctly - its not bugged, nor was it bugged.

That being said, Game Masters cannot provide any hints, steps, or advice on how to obtain them. I know it adds to the frustration, but details surrounding it are truly "Hidden."

We can confirm that all methods of obtaining the artifacts are functioning properly, and are not bugged - despite many of the community believing so. Not really sure where this "hotfix" idea came from.

Please note - no information on these have really been put out by Blizzard. Many players are working to try and figure out requirements, and while a lot of good work has been done, not all the information is accurate, or extra information/steps are being stated that aren't necessarily true. The appearances are working, though :)

So this morning I got a feralas screech, but there was no stone to be found. I checked everywhere (even in the lake and way further than the spawn range) for about 3 hours but there was just nothing there. In that time I've seen 10+ people fly in and get theirs. The event feralas also read as false, even though I got a screech emote.
Either fake screeches are a thing or there is something weird going on with these, like them spawning inside of things making them unclickable/unseeable, or screeches without a stone spawning. Let's hope it works next time, I'd love to get the owlcat skin.

Got screeches for Feralas and Duskwood early on, and then no screeches for the past two weeks. Both obviously returning false now. Seems there is no mercy on RNG.

Blizzard claiming it's been working as intended is clearly bull.

Also: every questline except Essence of power done, 7/7 Normal cleared, Level 6 research, level 24 artifact, revered+ with all factions, prestige 1 in PVP and over 700 worldquest done.

Okay so some information that I think should clear this up, and confirm a bit more that it was bugged but is now working as intended:

I got Artifact Knowledge 4 last week (just opening 6 now).

I got Hinterlands and Duskwood screeches last week.

Both times I got those, the questID for touched would flag true after touching the stones, but reset back to false when dailies reset.

Yesterday, I got the Feralas screech. I went and touched the stone as with the others, it flagged true.

HOWEVER, the daily reset has come and gone (no screech today) and the quest for Feralas Touched is still flagged as true.

My suspicion: Blizz devs/testers were manually flagging a screech active, zoning in to Dreamway, going and touching the relevant stone, then repeating for the other screeches. In testing, this would work, because they never sat there doing this for multiple days. But they had flagged all the quest events as dailies (when the event being triggered should be the only "daily" quest)

So every day it was resetting all "touched" stones. And completing the quest would be impossible.

At some point in the last few days, this was fixed. I'd say at least 4 days, as yesterday there were some really lucky players who had managed to get all 3 (and I'd wager they got them all in a row after fixes were implemented).

TL;DR - Evidence seems to indicate it was bugged and not storing completed touched stones, thus never allowing you to finish the quest. This seems to have been fixed, and you'll have to touch any of the 3 again that you touched prior to the fix and are thus not flagged as true.

I'm pretty disappointed with this skin. I think that most class/specs hidden skins are the nicest out of the lot. For feral though, thin skin is by far our ugliest. Oh well, at least the rest of them are amazing.

I just got my 'Feather of the Moonspirit'. I was AK4 when the first screech appeared in the Dreamway. Since then, I was getting screeches regularly everyday. I have received 5 screeches in total before obtaining the feather. It seems to me that you need to receive the screech from three DIFFERENT portals, as I received some duplicate ones as follows:

- Hinterlands
- Duskwood
- Hinterlands
- Duskwood
- Feralas

After receiving the Feralas screech (third unique one), Ela'lothen was sat right in front of me in the Dreamway when I teleported back. All I did was /sit while I had him targeted and the Feather appeared automatically in my bag.

Finally after 6 days of no screeches I got one today for the Hinterlands portal and found my stone near /way 68, 32. That makes 6 stones touched now. I am guessing my progress was reset and I have to click one in each zone again. So now I am just waiting for the other two. Fingers crossed!

While I love this hidden artifact appearance the process trying to get it is maddening. You can't tell if you are doing something wrong or if a bug caused all of your progress to reset.
A bit over a week ago I got my Artifact Research to Tier 4 and along with it, the screech in the Emerald Dreamway. I was so excited to finally start making progress towards the hidden appearance. The day after I got my second screech and my second stone activated. It's been over a week now and I haven't received a third screech yet. It wouldn't be so concerning if my two stones I activated didn't now read "false" with the dump commands. Due to the nature of tracking progress I am unable to tell if a bug occurred, resetting my progress, or if I did something wrong on my end. It could even just be a bug making it so that they read false although I still have the progress.
In my opinion, Blizzard should have a hidden quest or achievement appear after getting that first screech so we know where we stand with our progress unlocking the hidden appearances.

Edit: Happened to me again. Two stones two days in a row then nothing.... I want my owlcat form Blizzard. Don't mess with us like this ;_;

This just happened to me.

I log in and I'm in the dreamway so I do the dump, /dump IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(44326) (daily dreamway event roll) and it came back to me false. I used my dreamwalk to return to new dalaran and tried the dump again. False. I then used dreamwalk to go back to the dreamway. Again the dump comes back False. So I go into the druid class hall and dink around with my missions and troll trade chat. I randomly click my dump button and it comes back TRUE.

If not a BUG there is now the ability to get FALSE screeches.

Hello, my character is on Garrosh, Båstete. AK 6, done all the class hall missions, etc etc. The dreamway event roll returns true, however; when i hear the screech and go to the area I watch as other druids get the buff from the unseen to me stone. I run the "owlcat active" dump and it returns false? Is anyone else having this problem? Did I do something wrong? Did i miss something? i have reported it to blizzard, but they said "we can't give you info blah blah blah". I even posted it on the bug forum, no response, I've sent a bug report. It really drives me nuts, I have gotten screeches from every portal over the last 2 weeks and i cannot see the stone. Any feedback would be great, thanks!

So i've read all your information about this hidden artifact and i have followed it by step tho now when i hace clicked on 3 stones (1 in felaras and 2 in hinterlands) i cant se Ela'lothen, must it be 1 stone from 3 different portals or does Ela'lothen spawn randomly? and i haven't heard a screech in 1 week now.
If you guys can help me explain this problem if you know ofc that would be great! or is this a GM thing to solve?

I have some helpful stuff here.

Yesterday morning i received a 3rd screech after about 4 days of silence. I did what everyone else had done, tagged the stone, look around, cry, and go back to Dalaran. Yesterday after quest reset I got another screech. I did the same as earlier then realized that "Hey wait! That's the last zone i needed." At this point I read on the WoW Reddit that someone had figured out the rest of the quest. I ran the /Dump command from previous comments.

I'm pretty excited to see... WAIT Feralas was my very first screech way last week. I should have been complete.

I opened a ticket stating that I should have had credit for Feralas and my requirements were complete.

Druid Hidden artifact quest has been completed but NPC has not spawned in dreamway. After running /dump command it is now showing that my Feralas Stone was never touched which i HAVE touched it, it was last week. My first screech.

At this point I am very annoyed. I know WHAT I have to do, and I did it. So I reopened my ticket...

Please don't use the same cut and paste reply as you have with the other people that have opened tickets. I know how to do the artifact quest and how it's obtained now. I know for a fact that i have completed one of the requirements, but after the last maintance i lost my progress. All i am asking is give me credit for my Feralas owl stone that i touched last week and let me complete my quest.

I logged in this morning and went about my business, Dreamwalked then BAM Feralas screech. I fumbled around for about 30 minutes trying to find the stone. Finally located it. Tagged it and made a break for the portal. After the longest load screen in a while... There she was.... The Wild God. I /sit next to her, she turns to me and drops the feather in my inventory!

I'm a giddy little kid again. Help my wife clean for a couple hours. The ticket i had reopened had been responded to. I am adding this here because it's COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from anyone else's GM Tickets i have read here.

I've done some digging on this to see what all I could find. This is a known issue where the tracking quests were resetting incorrectly. However, we don't have the ability to regrant credit for touching the stones, as we can't verify which stones were touched properly or not. I know you aren't the only one experiencing this. I've been working on getting this appearance as well and following some forums. There are a lot of people that are experiencing this. I'm really sorry we aren't able to provide the credit for the stones for you.

so i've seen some people stating that upon dailly reset you are guaranteed a screech. this appears to be false. i've logged in twice, 20 minutes early to wait in the Dreamway and still have not had a single one. i'm artifact knowledge 6 with my class hall campaign completed.

also can anyone clarify this, do you simply zone into the Dreamway and you get the screech immediately? or do you need to wait a couple minutes for the screech?

If any one of you that has gotten the feather or daily screeches could please comment and tell us your warcraft daily routine? it may give us insight on how to actually get screeches for those of us that have gone weeks without any or never received one. Gms have even said some of our steps may be missing or incorrect so this puzzle is still not solved..

Ex: mobs you killed alot of those days, old content, anything that might have been something you do daily so we can find some common ground

got my third screech (Feralas) today, and I nearly got a heart attack when I collided with an invisible wall before the Feralas portal
you can use other means to get there (as horde, I went dalaran -> thunder buff -> feralas)
It won't affect the mission, at least it's not affected for me~~ ^_^

Datapoint: I just heard a screech while in resto spec, went through the portal, searched for the statue, found nothing, thought to myself "wait, this is the Feral hidden appearance", switched to Feral spec, kept searching, and quickly found the stone.

So maybe you have to be in Feral spec to find them?

Missing a day does not seem to do anything when it comes to getting this. I had the screeches happen every other day, and missed the last day and was still able to get it the next day (It being the screech and 3rd stone)

I'm going to try a theory when I get home. I've been using the default Fangs appearance (the first one you get) and I wonder if getting a screech has something to do with using the tree-cat upgraded appearance. I'm going to go back to using that for a few days and see if I get a screech. Can anyone comment if they got screeches using the default or did you have another equipped?

Ok so last week I got my Feralas screech and I had nothing for a while until yesterday and today I got my last one.

SO here's what I did differently the night before I logged out in dal, logged in the next day and i did my routine Dalaran stuff whatnot, checked my script and it said event "false" So I'm like ok whatever and I TP to the dreamway and bam screech for Hinterlands.

Logged out last night in Dal after event was still true, Logged in today and it was back to false again, did my stuff then TP to Dreamway and there it was my Duskwood screech. Came back and Ela'lothen was sitting down in the dreamway =D I'm unsure if this will work for everyone but if you've run out of stuff to try please try it and let me know in the comments ^^ It was frustrating for awhile there so I hope it works for someone

Edit: I Also used some and AP item each day in kitty spec before teleporting tho it may have not had anything to do with it.
Also someone asked but Ela'lothen seems to not stay in dreamway the sadly

TLDR: Log out in Dal every night and check if your script is false the next day then TP to Dreamway from Dal and lemme know if you get a screech.

I may have gotten one a long time ago and just never noticed it but i've been paying attention the last 4 days now and nothing. my quest checker thing returns true

Here are a couple of updated macros that I was using, generally the same information posted by others but I've broken them into two. The first lists "what's active", and the second lists which of the three you've touched successfully. There is a little bit more color coding to make the output more human readable.

One quick not about my experience: Something that happened to me was that even though I was clicking on one of the stones (in Duskwood) there was no follow-up emote. Until I dismounted (I was in the Sky Golem) and I wasn't shape shifted (Cat Form) nothing happened. Once I was no longer mounted and no longer shape shifted I clicked on the stone and it successfully gave me the emote "You hear something dart away behind you... and then just silence.".

I got it today!

I was AK4 when I heard my first screech, before the event was fixed. So after a few days when I ran the macro it said Feralas Tou False.
I didn't receive screeches anymore until they fixed it and i saw comment of people unlocking it. I got a Feralas one pretty quiclky, touched the stone, and then waited for 5 days. I got the Hinterlands next. Then nothing for 2 days, and I got the Duskwood today!

For those who are wondering how i got it :
- I touched the stone in variant forms, flying, no form at all and in cat form.
- I also changed the looks of my forms between the screeches.
- Each time I got there by Dreamway and left the area by the portal.
- The screeches happenned under 1 minute of waiting in Dreamway, so don't stay here forever it's no use.
- I got into Dreamway from various places.
- The event is totally random, as you can see I waited almost a week, then in 3 days I completed it.
- I checked my script mere seconds before the last screech, and it said Duskwood false. So I think it turns to True when a screech happen. If you miss a screech in your chat log you can always use the script to make sure.
- When Elothen appear, you need to really /sit in front of him, pressing X to sit don't work ^^
- If you don't find the stone, don't quit searching, it's here. I had one very difficult to find, but thanks to wowhead community with a post with coordinates, I finally touched it. (it was under the portal, on a side of the stony way)
- Don't know if it's relevant, but I'm in Europe, so maybe the event isn't fixed everywhere, like on US servers.

So, Today is the 10th consecutive day without a screech, the week that I hit AK4 and the same week that it was bugged and didn't keep the progress that you made, I got 4 screeches since that week. I've only gotten 1 and that was 2 Tuesdays ago. I believe something is wrong on my side because I'm still seeing other druids getting screeches pretty often. Any Ideas?

FINALLY I GOT THE SKIN! (OCTOBER 6, 2016 - Live)

First time here ever posting, so forgive me if it isn't all neat and fancy. I just wanted to confirm all of the information posted here. I received 3 screeches in about a week time frame and followed the coordinates listed to loot the owl-cat stones. I received my skin today!

Upon re-entering the portal, I found the guy sitting there. Did a /sit and he gave me the Piuma dello Spirito Lunare and walked away.

After looting the item, a small cut-scene took place, followed by an achievement called Potenziale nascosto. It is a Feat of Strength.

I have had the screeches and found the stone in: Feralas x2, Duskwood , and The Hinterlands. Ela'lothen has still not shown up in the Dreamway (and when i use the quest dump commands it only shows Duskwood as completed, which is my most current on). Possible that you have to find 3 in the same week/2 week period?

One very important aspect, when you type /sit in front of Ela'lothen <The Moonspirit> you MUST be in CAT form.

Just got this today.
Timeline:
First screech on 9/30, immediately after obtaining AK4
Second screech on 10/4, immediately after logging on after weekly reset
Third screech on 10/7, immediately after obtaining AK6

My assumption is that you need to get all three screeches within a 2 week period, similar to the archaeology quest.
Reason:
When my husband obtained AK4 two weeks ago, he immediately got his first screech for Hinterlands, then after the weekly reset (along with the reset for the archaeology quest) he got his other 2 screeches, but the quest dump commands showed Hinterlands as incomplete. I, on the other hand, obtained AK4 and got my first screech the day after the 2 week reset, and then got the other 2 screeches later, before the next 2 week reset happened.

Other notes:
It's clear now that we need AK4 to start the process, but I'm not sure what triggers screeches after that. My husband has gone through all the quests in Suramar, completed many world quests, ran all the dungeons, etc., and all I've done is camp for crystals in Azsuna for that dang Hippogryph mount. I stopped questing as soon as I hit friendly with all the reps. So, I'm assuming quests have nothing to do with it. If he doesn't get it by this 2 week reset, I'll post what his quest dump commands say afterwards. This is all just from my observation and could be wrong, but I hope it helps.

I did not get an emote even after getting AK lvl 4 for the longest time. I only got an emote after I started feeding my weapon AP. Got 14 traits, one of them gold, before I got an emote. I don't know if this is a 'gate' or just dumb unluckyness.

Also, my quest dump for /dump IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(44326) (daily dreamway event roll) was returning false untill I got an emote. (So the value was false when I got the emote.)

One more thing. I was able to click on the owlstone while mounted. I did this a few times and nothing happened. I dismounted and clicked and then I got the buff and the second emote about something behind me.

EDIT: The dump will read false when you first log in for the day. It only turns to true after you dreamwalk.

This appears to still be having issues as two weeks ago I head pressed all the stones including the hinterlands one twice. It now returns showing i have only pressed Feralas. Unfortunately, since the update to fix this apparent bug almost 2 weeks ago, i've not gotten a single feral screech to go anywhere.

Submitted 4 tickets now and only getting generic responses back with no way forward.

Ok, so I'm ready to flip my desk... VERY annoyed...

So yesterday I noticed the emote for the first time with a screech coming from The Hinterlands.

Went through portal, followed some of the way points listed and found it pretty quickly.

Today when I logged on I got the emote for Feralas.

Went through the portal and literally spend OVER AN HOUR looking for the stupid Moonstone. Followed all the way points without success so figured perhaps I had one that hadn't been found yet and expanded my search.

After wanting to smash my keyboard through my monitor I used the /dump commands only to find that even though I 100% saw the emote when I logged on, for some reason the Moonstone wasn't active for Feralas. Tried a /dump of all the zones to make sure I hadn't read it wrong and for some reason none of them were active despite getting the text.

It seems this quest is buggy which led to me wasting a stupid amount of time searching around trees which was seriously a chore.

Blizzard needs to give players a better indication of when this quest is active to avoid them wasting so much time doing something that isn't fun in any way. Perhaps when you find the first Moonstone you'd get a quest in your log or something, just something that lets the player know they're on the right track as 99% of players probably don't even realise you can use commands to see if the quest is active for them.

My event roll and Hinterlands touch have remained flagged as completed for 2 weekly resets. I have received any screeches in that time period from touching the Hinterlands stone until now. I had previously received screeches and touched the stone from the other portals multiple times. I've turned in multiple tickets or resubmitted my tickets to no avail they made it clear will not help on this issue and have denied that it was ever bugged or that it might remain so for some.

I have received 5 screeches. In order they are:

Hinterlands x2
Duskwood x2
Feralas x1

The dump command only shows 'true' for Duskwood and Feralas. I contacted a GM about this and they said just to wait and get Hinterlands again, so I waited. So far it has been over 2 weeks with no screech at all. I contacted Blizzard again about the issue today, they said it is a known bug and there is nothing they can do.

So, if you are like me and have done all of them but the command is not showing true, this hidden appearance is completely unobtainable until Blizzard patches or hot-fixes it.

i got a screech from duskwood today, couldent find anything again ( how big an area are it in?) so i tried the event addon someone recomented, it shows false for the event to be activ. but if i do the dump myself, it shows true for the event to be active but false for any active stones......help has anyone else expirinced this?

I am playing balance, however, upon entering the highway today I got an emote saying "you hear a feral screech coming from the Duskwood portal" (or something along those lines). I entered the portal to find a moonstone under the tree to the slight left. After clicking it I received another emote saying "you hear something behind you...and it is quickly gone" (again something similar to that).
First time I have experienced this. How long are the screech spawns? once a day? how many do I need?

To the people who do not get screech and or get fake screech.

This 'might' help you out. It helped me out. It might just be a complete coincidence but nobody knows anything at this point so why not just try it.

I did not have a screech for about 11 days and then I I have gotten 2 fake screeches before that (screeches without a stone)

A GM once told me that Game options and how the game pull information to the query might tamper with some game mechanics.

After not having screeches for a very long time I did this:

Delete, WTF, Interface, Chache folder. Go into B-net application and repair wow (takes about 30 minutes)
After you lunch wow and log in once you can put your addons back in.

After doing this I got a screech 2 days in a roll. In 4 hours Daily Reset happens and hopefully I get my last stone.

As I said this might be a complete coincidence but I think its worth a try.

My problem is, I have not received a screech since 2nd of October = Probably bad RNG (I hope)
My second problem is, I've often received this message "13:43" or "12:32" (depending the time), in that /emote-orange color; like it's a bugged screech, which is missing the text..

I contacted a GM about this, hopefully he can tell me.
I've been thinking about doing this:

I think getting your screeches might actually have to do with when you visit the Dreamway for the first time each day

I normally log onto my druid around 11am-1pm to do dailies and stop by Dreamgrove around then. I got my first two screeches around 9-10pm. After the second one I tried to avoid going to the Dreamway until around then, and got it on my second try avoiding it until 9pm

It doesn't matter when you log in on your character, just when you visit the dreamway

PSA for those who are stuck with 2/3 stones and think they are bugged because they touched missing stone pre fix.

Copy your character to PTR. There, you can check if you are bugged. Just keep copying your character, enter the dreamway and see if you get the screech. It helped me ease my mind - I touched Duskwood stone before hotfix and am yet to receive it as my final one on Live servers. I was getting worried so I tried this trick. Took me around 25 copies but I finally received the screech on PTR (and feather, since touched stones copy over), so I am not bugged, just really unlucky.
Looking forward to get it on live but not losing hope!

I'm having a totally new problem from any I've seen described. I have all three screeches and the dumps all read as true for touched stones. Ela'lothen is sitting in the Dreamway as expected, but doing /sit doesn't get me a feather no matter where I am when I do it.

This could be pure coincidence and I happened to have had a "false screech", but this morning I got an emote to go to Feralas. After zoning in my client crashed, come back in and thought nothing of it. Searched for roughly an hour and found no stones. After running the script commands it said Feralas was not active.

So either the game trolled me and it actually wasn't active, or logging off/crashing will screw it up.

Got the hidden artifact appearance for Catform today after 3 screeches/moonstones; one in Feralas, one in the Hinterlands and last one in Duskwood.

Walked back through the portal I entered in Duskwood back to the Emerald Dreamway, and there was Ela'lothen. I then entered catform and used the emote /sit while targetting him, and surely - I got my Feather of the Moonspirit in my bag.

Used the addon "Moonspirit" from Curse, which automatically entered waypoints when I entered the zones above when the "event" was active, showing where the moonstones could be (easy to find without however). It also does other things toward this event, and I highly recommend it.

After 16 days I have finally got another screech. Starting to not even want this skin or to play my druid anymore. All the random waiting is getting on my nerves. Six days to get a screech after the hotfix(I had found 5 stones before the hotfix and my progress was reset), 16 days to get the second screech. Now how long am I going to have to wait to get the third? I don't think it is worth it anymore. Only thing I did differently this time that may have resulted in getting the screech is I logged in much later than normal. Instead of checking for a screech in the morning I waiting till about 4 in the afternoon.

I don't know if this may be a bug for anyone else but my Feralas portal was blocked. I could click on it there was Ysondre's Seal on it I could remove. From a quest i did in Feralas a long time ago (Sealing The Dream). Just realised this today while I was in front of the portal (since i never received a screech from Feralas yet, only one missing.) Will update if something new happen after I remove the seal.

So I'm now AK lvl 6 and have not received a single "Feral Screech" while inside the Dreamway. I'm confused regarding to the frequency of the screeches; do you get a screech once per day for a 100% fact and mine is just bugging out? Or am i just having an extreme case of horrible RNG and the screeches only happen if you're lucky enough to get one. If anyone has any feedback and or additional info that might be able to answer some of my question, it would be heavily appreciated! =)

I myself am getting fed up with this rng stuff. I had only gotten one screech before the "fix". Once it was reset and the fix happened, I must have been super lucky cause I got two screeches back to back that weekend after that said fix. Now, it's been 16 days since my last screech and at least in my opinion, this rng is super stupid. Majority of other classes merely have to grind mobs for a drop, fish something out of water or simply buy it like my BM hunter could. Everyday I'm reading and seeing more druids get this skin and (yes being a little salty) it's super frustrating to see myself and several others who main a feral druid and are really wanting this skin to have to wait who knows how long when I've seen quite a bit of people receive this skin who don't even play feral and got all the screeches in a week's time or so.
I know rng is rng, but this waiting game is like camping out TLPD back in the day. Me and my fellow feral players want our skins.

Finally got mine after a week from the first one. Second screech was just next day. But nothing after that untill now.
It may have to do something with not-being in Dreamway during your "first" log in of the day (after the daily reset) and weekly reset.
Also, the Moonspirit addon is well useful to check eligiblity.

Also this new cat form have its own unique sound set..

For everyone else who may have touched a stone when it was still bugged and now showing you have not touched it yet. I believe I found a fix, well I didn't, but found a post somewhere that described what he did.

Before opening the game after a daily reset, remove the Interface, WTF, and Cache folder from the WoW directory. Restart the Blizzard launcher. Run a Scan and Repair on WoW. Open and run the game without any addons installed. Teleport the the Emerald Dreamway and check for a screech.

I received my, supposedly, last screech about 2 weeks ago in the Hinterlands, but no npc in the dreamway after it was touched. Come to find out that Feralas was showing false. This was my first stone I touched when it was still bugged.

Anyway, after the fix, I immediately received my missing screech when I entered the Dreamway. Could be coincidence, but I think it may have been an addon or another part leftover from the bug.

Note that you cannot inspect properly while mounted. You will not get the emote about something darting away if you are on a mount.

I just received a screech when in Guardian specialization with knowledge 4 but loot set to Feral (doubt the loot makes any difference).

I missed it at first and went straight into the order hall but darted back and into the portal there i searched and found it while in travel form and got the right "emote" (darting away).

This was in Duskwood and my first screech.

I had gotten 2 of my stones within 2 days of each other 3 weeks ago. Had even opened a ticket wondering if my toon was bugged. They assured me it was not. Then last night I dinged the "Exalted with All Broken Isles Factions" achieve and I logged out. The next day (today) I hearthed into the Dreamway and got my Feralas screech. I followed all of the great advice above and did not get a feather. It turns out there is one more subtle requirement - you must have Ela'lothen targeted when you /sit to receive the feather.

I finally got this after 3 weeks of waiting. My last screech which was from Hinterlands was fake at first. Yes, believe it or not I found no stone. Checked every spawn and nothing. Maybe 3 days later I got a new screech from Hinterlands and that time I found the stone. I'm happy and good luck to you guys still trying to get it. It looks nice with the Owl Kitten pet.

I got my first screech the very first time I passed through the Dreamway after hitting Artifact Knowledge Rank 4. It was so exciting to wonder what the screech was, to look it up and discover that I was going to be able to be an Owlcat! The next screech happened two days later.

Then a couple days passed, a week... nothing. I looked back at the current comments here and saw there were complaints of bugs, and a lot of general confusion. "Luckily" when I ran the scripts I could see my progress remained intact despite what had happened to other folks, but days stretched into weeks. I got to Rank 11 AK. I completed out some quests in the Druid Hall, thinking that could be a key to the last screech... nothing.

Logging in each day to what I could only guess was a 50/50 shot at yes only to come up with nothing was really disheartening and I still feel that earning the skin through some other bit of work, or slightly less RNG than a 50/50 shot ONCE A DAMNED DAY would make people a lot less annoyed with this hidden skin. That said, I was literally overjoyed when I got the screech today and I wanted to share my experience in case there is any validity to how it all went down...

Although I am pretty sure I finally just had my RNGesus looking down on me with benevolence, something interesting did happen today that hadn't occurred any other day these past weeks...

I loaded into the Dreamway, took on my kitty form and stood there... I looked around and thought suddenly about the swirls in the flowers. I thought it would be neat if I stayed on the path of the dark green whorled pattern and it led to the Hinterlands portal.

"How cool would it be if following the 'path' to the portal was the key?" I thought.

So, I trotted along the green curled path, and sure enough the swirl led to the portal, and in an explosion of joy - I got my third and final screech!

After nabbing my stone a few minutes later and getting my feather I tried to remember if there could be any way I had done anything similar before. I am afraid it was so long ago, and that I would often bop around the Dreamway mindlessly, that I just don't know.

Do I think this weird occurrence was the key? No idea. It's unlikely I suppose... but it was a really fun and thrilling bit of chance thrown my way after days of blappy disappointment. Hopefully someone else can experience this same thrill and I would love to hear if following the path to the portal is a valid step in getting a screech.

Good luck, folks! As a person who just got The One That Didn't Get Away after 7+ years of solid fishing - I know your pain! And the happiness that follows finally checking off the box on a long awaited achievement! :D

Major problem I had with this so far:

Progress so far - I've heard the call, found and clicked the two idols in Duskwood and Hinterlands with no issue.

The Feralas call came, I went through the portal to find it, couldn't find it after searching for 15-20 minutes. I conversed with several other druids there for the same issue and we teamed up to find it. The two others that told me where it was (50,15; between those trees) clicked it while I was watching. The flash/buff appeared above their heads and they confirmed they received it. I couldn't see the idol but they could.

I then proceeded to search the map again, going back every 3-4 minutes and watching over 10 other druids do the exact same thing at the exact same location. I still couldn't see the idol. At this point, I'm believing it's a bug so I submit a ticket, asking for some help.

The first response was a form letter, no help at all. I responded explaining in more detail what occurred and received another response.This one was from an actual GM. However, no real assistance was given. He recommended I come here and if I'm missing something and that "this hunt should be earned correctly through exploration".

The issue is I found the location. I couldn't see the idol that all these other players were clicking right in front o me - at least a dozen other players did so. The issue isn't finding it, the issue was when I did find the location, it wasn't appearing for some reason. Now I have to wait again for that specific call and try to find it again, hoping that this time, it shows up. Had I not ran across the fact that it was obviously bugged, I would still be looking for something that never appeared. And the GMs at Blizzard seem to basically shrug that off.

Not good, B. Not good.

This is pretty much a no brainier skin, you using the dreamway day to day will pick up on them sooner or later i got my first two eventfully day after the other but i haven't heard anything within a week, do we have a "longest time between parts" somewhere?
I'm also waiting forever for the prot paladin daily trigger.. oh and i do recall this one is also "daily" not just when you go into dreamway?

Although you will be able to inspect the stone, you will not get credit for it if you are mounted. On the other hand, you will get credit if you are using travel form.

This is really dumb and obvious, but make sure to actually say "/sit" rather than just hit your keyboard binding for it. I spent a good five minutes upset in front of the big owlcat because I, uh, didn't think to do that...

After finally getting a screech from Feralas after nearly 2 weeks of nothing I was pretty excited to get my 2nd stone.

Alas, I spent close to an hour looking for the owlcat stones with no luck. I had a barrier from another quest preventing me from going to feralas, I thought perhaps removing the barrier interferred with the quest so I tried relogging and then restarting wow completely - did not help.

Apparently I'm not the only one having an issue where the Feralas stones just do not appear...

As a last ditch effort I removed the addons, cache and wtf folders from the wow folder then reloaded - SUCESS! Found the owlcat stone in under 2 mins.

Who knows what was causing the issue as I removed all folders at once but thought I'd share cos it might work for someone else :)

TL:DR - Try removing the Cache, WTF and Addons folder then look for the owlcat stone - worked for me!

All the data dumps that are filling this thread are useless.. mine returned 1 true and the rest false just an hour before i got it.. also, my first screech was over a month ago, second 2 weeks ago, third last week. At AK4 I got my first screech (Feralas), at AK8 I got my second screech (Hinterlands) and I am soon AK12, so I expect my third screech to come then.

So I missed the Duskwood stone the first time it popped up, I've gotten the Feralas and Hinterlands stone; but the Duskwood one never seemes to 'screech' whenever i go into the Dreamway each day. Did I miss my chance or am I just unlucky.
It's been two months by the way since I last saw the Duskwood 'screech'.

These things are really hard to find. You'd expect them to be close to the portal, but they seem to have a very generous berth in which they can spawn.

Just wanted to let you know that after 1 1/2 months waiting to get the Duskwood screech again since my 1st screech was Duskwood and showed false after I completed the last screech Feralas, I finally got Duskwood again today and was able to complete. Plz note that yes you have to /sit in front of the NPC but you must target his when you do this and he will immediately give you the feather.

I know your frustration and I am one that had petitioned Blizz like 3 times for the bug which they say there isn't one...so unfortunately you will have to wait...and wait...and wait. to make things worse for me the 2 specs I never used...tank and boomy was the hidden skins I did have. So mean..... GL guys!

I just got mine yesterday. I can confirm the stones appear at random locations within the zone of the screeching portal. Last one was in Feralaas and i was scared of having the same problem described in a comment below, since I couldn't find it 'between those trees'. After 10-15 circling around the portal, i was happy to finally find it at the back of the temple, nowhere near those big trees some YouTube videos show beside the stone. As the GM said, it is exploration. Patience will pay off!

I just got my 3rd screech and the form today. I'm not sure it's as RNG as we think it is. I think maybe the fact it bugged early on makes us think it's random, but I think it could be gated behind AK.

There's a post further down saying they got their 3rd screech on AK12.

I got my first at AK4, I don't remember when I got my 2nd but it was definitely higher than 4. Today I hit AK12 and went to the dreamway straight afterward and got my screech. As I had been playing different characters I hadn't been increasing my Druid AK very quickly, but I was checking the dreamway daily for 3 weeks with no screech, and on the day I hit AK12, there it is.

It may coincidence, but it may not.

Don't worry about the stones despawning; it took me a good 20 min. to find the Feralas one but it never disappeared. Turning your graphics down to 1 makes it easier to find clickable objects! (Also works with the cloud serpent eggs...)

Just got my third and final feral screech. Duskwood. Dreamwalked back and found Ela'lothen sitting in the middle of the dreamway. Sat beside him/her? and got the hidden appearance. Learned the spell, watched the cutscene and that was that. Saw it walk away and thanked it. Took about a week to get the hidden appearance.

I've experienced something weird while working toward my feather.

I got the Feralas and Duskwood screeches and touches within a few days of hitting AK4, over a month ago.

I never saw any further screeches, either for Hinterlands or duplicates for the other two zones.

Starting in the last few days, the event flag (/dump IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(44326)) has started showing false instead of true. The Feralas touch and Duskwood touch flags still both show true.

I put in a GM ticket, and they said everything is working as intended, but it seems like there might be some other factor involved beyond just AK4 (I'm currently at AK16).

If your inventory is full when you sit with Ela'lothan they will attempt to give you the item and walk away, whether it worked or not. If you didn't get it simply re-enter the gateway with your bag ready and Ela'lothan will be waiting for you again!

I have followed all of the steps, gotten all 3 of the calls, clicked on all 3 of the stones. Low and behold, Ela'lothen has spawned in the Dreamway! I even have a screen shot of my toon sitting next to the npc. So this means I have followed all of the steps and should receive the hidden artifact appearance. I have been sitting here for two days. NOTHING HAPPENS! So I opened a ticket only to be told I would have no assistance, if they helped me it would not be a "hidden" appearance. So I've reopened the ticket and will keep you posted with an update. Wish me luck.

I don't think anyone else has said this outright yet, so I'll say it for those who are wondering: You do not get a screech every day or right away. I hit AK4 three days ago, and I've checked every day. Dreamway Event Roll reads true, but nothing else does, and no screech yet.

Edit: It's been over two weeks now, and I still haven't gotten a single screech. The Dreamway Event Roll still reads true, and nothing else. RNG is just pure evil.

Used portal to the Dreamwalk, was in Travel Form and recieved the emote "You hear a strange feral screech towards the <Portal> gateway." (12:00 game time)
Went into portal, and took me 12 mins to find the stone - its a big gray boulder prob half your size with a cat-mark on it. I found and used it in Flight Form, so you do not have to be in cat-form to start or end the "event".

I have completed all the Class Hall Campaign quests, completed the Order Hall Campaign, I am level 21 at Artifact Knowledge and touched all 3 stones (Hinterlands, Duskwood and Feralas) last one was 2 weeks ago, NPC Ela'Lothen has spawned in the middle of Emerald Dreamway and no Feather has been given to me.
Opened a ticket with GM and was answered to submit a bug report (which I have done) and to search the forums.
Anyone has come across the same problem?

Hi all.

I reached ak 4 and i received the first screech for Hinterlands and touched the stone, after two days i received the Duskwood screech and touched the stone.
Almost two weeks now i havent received any screech for anything and i need Feralas to complete the hidden skin .
All these days i am in dalaran and port to dreamway every day to be sure.
Is it bugged or i am doing something wrong?
I am ak level 10 now and still waiting :/
Any ideas?

Took me a while to figure out how to use this, and guides seemed to assume you already knew how, so in case this helps anyone else too:

Go to the Artifact Forge and choose the Appearances tab. Then you can click any of the squares that do not have the lock symbol and they correspond to a different appearance. Walking away from the forge is meant to then give your cat form that same appearance.

However having "Glyph of the Feral Chameleon" equipped mangles the effect : the different appearances will change the tint of your skin but not include any other of the effects. So you need to get Vanishing Powder and cancel that glyph for this to work.

Feral spec was mandatory for me or clicking the stone didn't count.

It seems like if you log out, you lose your roll for the day. Either that, or mine bugged out. I got the Duskwood screech, and had to step away. When I logged back on, I couldn't find the statue and the /dump for the quest to be active came back as false.

It should be noted that while you can be in any spec to click the stones, you must be in feral spec to get the feather. I sat there in front of the NPC /sit'ing probably half a dozen times before I swapped to feral spec and got the feather on the next /sit.

Has anyone had it where you'll get the screech, but when you use the active stone dump, it comes back false ? I've had this twice with Hinterlands and it's my last stone before I've completed this appearance.

I've tried grouping with other ferals, reducing my video settings, clearing my cache ... nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

I wasn't expecting a screech this morn. This was my first screech, so I hadn't done much research. I got Feralas, so I kinda just winged it at first. I looked in the dreamway for anything in particular, couldnt find anything. Went through the portal, looked around but couldn't find anything. I looked at WoWhead comments and found a guy that posted coords. I followed them for 10 min and unfortunately still didn't find it. I then flew around for a few more min and finally found it. I found the "Mark of the Moonspirit" stone at (48.32, 6.65).

Is there a time limit on touching the owl stone after you hear a screech? I heard a screech and didn't know what it meant. I went through the Feralas portal, and thought I would see something more evident of why I was being whispered to, to do that. Now that I know why....sheesh.

I got my last screech emote, "Feralas", while I was spec'd as Guardian. I've been waiting for a couple months.

I found the stone near 51.5, 5.2 in Feralas. This was the same place my wife found hers.

I had check this same spot earlier because it was posted here. I had changed spec to Resto after I came to Feralas. The difference the second time was that I changed back to Guardian. Again I don't know if that matters. Could be I just missed it the first time. :)

I returned to the Emerald Dreamway and Ela'lothen was there. I changed to Feral and Cat form and use my "x" sit key. He did not respond. Finally I found post below that you have to use the "/sit" emote with him targeted. Instant win.

My wife got hers quite a while ago. She plays Feral though. I don't know if this matters but like I said I've been waiting for about 2 months for this last screech. I've been at 25 AK for that long too and have the weapons for the other specs filled out. Recently I started filling the AP on my Fangs of Ashmane and put a point in the last "talent" earlier this week.

Below is my data, down to the minute, of when I received my first, second, and third "screech" in the Emerald Dreamway. I wanted to comment with my experience to show that it can happen pretty quickly...

7:11am on Feb 13th, touched Duskwood stone.
10:21pm on Feb 18th, touched Hinterlands stone.
10:12am on Feb 21st, touched Feralas stone.

As you can see, this is only 8 days time from start to finish.

If I had any tips to share it would be to keep checking the Emerald Dreamway at least once each time you log in. Don't freak out if you get a screech and are caught off guard... just pause whatever you're doing and go into whatever portal the screech is coming from. TAKE YOUR TIME! It's not a race... that stone will be there for sure (I spent at least 40ish minutes looking for my last stone in Feralas). On the same "it's not a race" note; when I was searching for my final stone there was another Druid flying around looking for the same stone. When I found the stone, this other Druid was actually down at it already. I saw him get near it, pause a little, and then he flew away and the stone was still there. I can confirm that the stone acts like 'personal loot', if that makes sense. So don't be afraid if you see another druid searching for the same stone as you are.

i am trying to get the last owlstone to unlock the skin, but i seem of hit a bit of a blockade. i've got the owlstones in both duskwood and feralas. i checked all of the spots that are listed and i used the script and even the moonspirit mod to try and help me find the last stone. once i used them it said that the quest for the owlstone was active but hinterlands one wasn't yet in the dreamway it said

You hear a strange feral screech towards the Hinterlands gateway.

this makes no sense can someone help?

Found Hinterlands in some old ruins. Found Feralas right under the freaking portal. Both after 15-30 mins of searching trees.

On the plus side, the quest that flags whether you get to hear a screech each day counts towards your number of daily quests completed. I got the achiev for 50 dailies right when I heard the Feralas screech.

Hey ... AuSSiEWoRGeN here .. the other day when I got the final screech for Duskwood I was in Guardian (bear) form. I entered the Duskwood area and brought up the list of waypoints provided below on one of the other comments, started to scour the area and found nothing. So my only guess is that if you get the screech, ensure that you're in Feral form before you enter the area, because I have a feeling that if you're in any of the other forms, it'll glitch out.

(Either that or I totally missed it on the day)

When you get all three zones, and you go back into the Dreamway - you can't just hit S to sit, you have to type out /sit next to Ela'lothen. You will know when you have a new item in your inventory that you have it right. Click on that and then it will do a screen and you will change into the new skin. :D

PSA: If you go through a portal and aren't able to find a stone after searching for an hour like me. Be sure to check back a few hours later!

I got a screech about 8 hours ago and spent almost an hour triple checking every coordinate and then manually searching with no luck. I came back several hours later to find the stone in a spot that I had definitely already searched several times.

Logged off after being unable to find the Owl Stone in Feralas, deleted my entire Cache folder, logged back in and it was right next to me. So if you can't find the stones, try that.

I can confirm that even if you are not in the Emerald Dreamway to hear the emote happen, it can still happen. Thus, the script for checking if the emote has occurred is inordinately useful and highly recommended.

Took me 12-14 weeks of checking every day to finally get it. I only had one completed until this week when the other 2 whispers appeared. Don't know if there was a boost in the chance for a whisper or the rng was just good to me this week. Just wanted to let everyone know to try if they had or are giving up like I was.

I think you have to be in cat form when you go into the Emerald Dreamway in order to hear the screeches. I wasn't able to hear it and was getting pretty frustrated, and then I went in as a cat, and heard it immediately. I know that wouldn't work if you were coming via the teleport spell cause you can't be shapeshifted, but maybe that's what it is? Has anyone heard it while not shapeshifted?

I found my Feralas stone at (52, 6) by the bush next to the trunk of the fallen tree. It's a bit smaller than one would think, so keep an eye out when looking around the different spots (I was getting extremely frustrated because it was my last one, and has been reported by many to be bugged in most instances.)

I got my first screech today around 6:15 AM CEST on Bronze Dragonflight.

Then I logged in, and used my teleport to Emerald Dreamway around 09:30 AM CEST the same morning and got another screetch again.

The first was in Hinterlands, and the other one was in Duskwood.

I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact that it was Wednesday?
But the daily quests did reset at 03:00 AM. (I don't really know if that reset has anything to do with other resets etc. but hopefully I'm being somewhat helpful with everything else.)

I have been doing this daily for 6 months now and today I finally got it. Here's the kicker though. I logged into my laptop that does not have any addons enabled and it instantly popped up with the final screech.

I checked my main machine and confirmed I had ALL the different text types were enabled so either this was just extreme coincidence or it's possible that folks with specific addons are not seeing the messages as they are being blocked by addons. Specifically anything that alters your chat box and chat settings.

And my apologies if this has already been said, i didn't read all 343 postings this thread is up to.

Today Ela'lothen appeared and gave me the Feather of the Moonspirit even though I've only found one stone (Feralis). So it seems you only need to find one stone to get the hidden appearance as of 7.3.

I heard the screech in the Dreamway today. I went to Feralis, found the stone, and then hearthed out, thinking I was only 1/3 of the way towards the appearance. Thankfully, I went back to the Dreamway a bit later and saw him looming behind me. I did the /sit emote and was pleasantly surprised to get the item! Let me know if anyone else has had similar results.

I know this sounds dumb, but I got my druid high enough to do this, but never heard about it...How would I find out if i missed a screech?

I'm pretty sure the 'screech' event is bugged in some way. Here's the dump command I'm using (pulled from one of the top comments)

A few days ago, I got the Feralas screech, and combed the Feralas area. Found nothing.
Used the dump command, and the Feralas Active came back false.
Messaged a GM and the GM basically said "We've been looking at this and we don't think it's bugged"

Today, this morning, I got a screech for Duskwood. I immediately used the dump command, and the Duskwood event also came up false. I took a screenshot, but can't post it here because of the UI elements in it. But assuming the dump command works, then hearing a screech =/= getting a stone to click on.

I don't know where to go from here. I've touched the Hinterlands stone and that part of the dump command is working fine. But I can't keep wasting time looking for stones that don't seem to exist.

FERALAS: After 2 other attempts to find the one in Feralas, I did the recommendation of resetting the cache. I then found it about a minute later at 53.6, which I know for sure I had travelled past at least twice during the same exploration today.

Apparently you don't actually need to hear the screech for credit. Used the scripts to check if the duskwood moonstone was active and it flagged true. So went and found it, was able to click it and got credit.

It would seem that during the WoW anniversary event the quest Gli originali has either disabled or interfered with the druid ability to "hear" the screeching. Before the event I got one screech, went and clicked the statue, now I haven't gotten any more notifications in the days following.

I have a quick question that a google search or two didn't result in an answer for.

If you are not rocking feral spec, can you still get the screeches and unlock the hidden appearance? Or do you need to be spec'd into feral when you enter the Emerald Dreamway each day in order to unlock it?

It has been at least two weeks since getting a screech. I would prefer it better if there was a random screech each day, even if it was not the location I needed, which is Feralas. I already got Hinterlands and Duskwood. Feralas just refuses to activate. I have artifact level 68. With two of the stones, even if it is RNG for ONE of the screeches to happen--which none do, now--then Feralas should have occurred by now. If I missed it and can no longer get it, then there should be something stating that it is a one-time chance.

On 27 Dec 2017 I did he Hinterlands stone, and I've done the Feralas one a long while back. Upon teleportion to the glade I noticed the NPC setting there, changed to feral spec and /sit near him. He gave me the featers even though I havent touched all three stones, this either must be a bug or Blizzard made it easier to get.

If you can see Ela'Lothen but can't get the feather from him you must use the /sit emote, using the sit keybind won't do it.

I've been checking my druid damn near every day, maybe missed 2 days at most, since 12/13/17. The messed up part is that I got the last screech I needed that day but there was no stone. I searched every tree in the Duskwood crater 4 times over. I took screenshots with the Duskwood screech visible and opened a ticket, but GMs "couldn't" wouldn't help. This is pure, unnecessary torture. Will update IF i ever get it.

Finally got my third stone today. The first two stones (Duskwood & Feralas) popped within a day of each other. The hinter one took about 3 weeks of checking every day. Grabbed the stone (Turn ground items to low, makes it so much easier to find the stones) and return to see him sat there right as day.

Found one at 51, 5 in Feralas.

I entered all the waypoints and moved all around, didn't find one. Cleared the cache and readded the waypoints, ran all around didn't see them. Cleared the cache and readded the waypoints, but this time ran around in cat form and finally found it.

Not sure why it took so long, because I'm sure I passed by where the stone was multiple times, so maybe catform is needed to see them, maybe it isn't, but that's the only thing that was different when I finally found it.

I'm pretty sure that there's currently a bug with this.

Use the quest query dump to see if it is or isn't active that day rather than relying on screeches.

There have been numerous times that I've zoned in and been given the screech text (and been super excited), but when I check the dump then it's not actually active. I've gone and searched the area to check and the stone definitely isn't there.

The bug could potentially be if you're logging in and out while in the Emerald Dreamway, but I need to investigate this further.

I have responded to 4 Duskwood screeches and today I finally found one. I had previously spent hours combing the area in Duskwood and even wrote a ticket and bug because I was worried I was bugged. I had found my other ones but Duskwood was a tough one for me. I had searched the forums for something to see if anyone had mentioned their stone moving. I didn't see any. So, here's the answer for future people asking. Your stone can move! I know because I had checked this spot every single time I came in the zone lol. Finally it was at 50.88, 45.03 out in the open.... I was curious if anyone had experienced finding their stone on the mountains since there are trees up there as well. Please up-vote. This might solve the issue for many players.

It appears, there is also an issue with the game giving you a screech for one zone but activating the stone in another. I had three separate "screeches" with no stone anywhere to be found over the last month. Opened a ticket and received the below listed response. ~~Going to post the IMGUR link in a post on the wow forums for verification.~~

I'm sorry to see that we missed each other today! I understand you were having an issue with the screeches to get your Hidden Appearance.

I took a look into this for you and it looks like what happened is The Duskwood one was actually the one that was up. When I went searching for the stone and found the Duskwood one... it got accidentally clicked... So you're good on The Duskwood now as well.

You will need to wait for the Screech to come back for Hinterlands but since you have Feralas and Duskwood now you should be good after Hinterlands once it comes back up

I also added this to a report on our end so that it can get looked into as it is strange that the Duskwood one was up.

I do hope that this helps out and of course if anything else comes up in the mean time please do let us know.

I just found a owlcat stone, and then showed the location to another druid doing it, and it was there for him too. This might mean that the stone just goes to a set location everyday, and that's where it will be for everyone with the screech for that portals area. Ask if anyone found the stone for your area, I don't know exactly if you can just leave and come back later, but the whole "Daily Screech" thing implies it. Even narrowing it down to "South of the portal" would cut down the time wasted circling trees a ton. I really, REALLY hope this helps. Also, always remember to use the macro to check if it's actually activated, there have been known problems with such things. GLHF!

Can someone help me with this, I can't seem to get the third emote to happen. The daily roll returns true every day yet the third emote never happens. It's been doing this for a week, the GM's can't/won't help so I'm kind of stuck which is beyond irritating. Any assistance would be appreciated.

ugh, I must have completely missed this when it happened to me. I tried the quest dumps, apparently I got the event, but all 3 zones came up as false. Will I eventually get it again or am I just screwed?

If you are having trouble changing your druid artifact appearance, check to see if you have any Glyphs attached to your shapeshift controls. Just hover your mouse over the shapeshift control(s) just above your toolbar and check for glyphs. The Glyph of the Feral Chameleon, for example, will block your appearance from changing to the moonspirit form or any of the other forms associated with your artifact weapon. The Glyph of the Ursol Chameleon will have a similar effect when shapeshifting into bear form.

In my own experience, it helps to be actively playing with your Druid to get the emotes. I got my first emote (Feralas) almost three weeks ago, after just finishing the Order Hall Campaign. In the days after that I was playing with my other characters, only logging in on my Druid to see if I would get the emote, and logging off right away when I didn't. Yesterday I decided to progress with my Druid, playing all afternoon. I went to the Dreamway and got the emote for Hinterlands! Today I came back to continue where I left off yesterday and after playing for a few hours, went to the Dreamway again. And sure enough I got the 3rd and last emote (Duskwood) after which I got the Hidden Artifact Appearance from Ela'lothen in the Dreamway!
So I don't know if this applies for everyone. But it might be worth considering.

In case anyone was wondering: you don't need to be in feral spec to get the emote while in the dreamway. I was in balance spec when I got the emote, and did all parts of this achievement while not in feral spec.

I've been trying to figure out why these proc. I have been on different continents before logging in, Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Outland, Northrend, Broken Isles of course and so on. I have even tried being, in my mind, different "kinds" of zones (nature, in cities and so on. I have also tried being in various specs. All these tries were I really tried to vary the variables was to get my last "call" (The Hinterlands) when entering The Emerald Dreamway.

This is what I did and how I got the last call. Note that the message "You hear a strange feral screech coming from the Hinterlands portal" did not come at once when I entered, I did some stuff before.

Call from the Hinterland - Hidden appearance (last of my 3 calls)

Before I cast Dreamwalk for the day I used my Faro della Natura Nature's Beacon toy twice. I can't remember where I ended up on the first try, but my second location was down in Feralas (toy has 1 minute cooldown).

Then in Balance spec in Feralas I casted Dreamwalk so I ended up in the Emerald Dreamway. Nothing happened.

I turned into travel form and ran up to Duskwood Gatewarden and talked to both of them.

Nothing happened so I started to run to the Dreamgrove entrance, then I got the call from Hinterlands. "You hear a strange feral screech coming from the Hinterlands portal".

I ran to the portal and started searching, pretty much random flying around looking around trees.

I found the Stone at cords 66.0, 33.1.

The servertime was about 13:00-13:30.
My artifact leval was 69.

Extra info that might be helpful to figure out what makes these "calls" proc (it might be totally random).

When I logged in for the day I was in Restoration spec standing in New Dalaran at Nomi's table. After that I used my Figlia del LocandiereThe Innkeeper's Daughter toy (I use that instead of hearthstone to save 1 bag slot) ending up at Broken Shore, Deliverance Point (Inn).

I did some quests, the daily at Broken Shore (turn in 100 Nethershards) plus a few other WQ's. Kill 12 Murlocs, enter demon portal (it was the quest to disguise and go pick up boxes), On the SW, north of murlocs, was another quest to close down 3 demon portals. Ending up with kill 30 demons out on that little island in the east, about cordinates 33, 32.

From there I flew over the water to Azsuna in flightform. Did a few WQ's. Somewhere around cords 58, 60 to kill a "boss" crab (don't remember the name). After that I did the Kirin Tor Barrels WQ around cords 47, 54. Turned in 2 Draught of Raw Magic to get my 2nd rank (cords 47, 40). Then I did the Kirin Tor quest to reach the thingy on top of Nar'thalas Academy. Finally ending up doing the Warden WQ, Falcosaurs in NW corner of Azsuna.

From there I flew north to Val'sharah where there were an ongoing invasion (about 1 hour left). I used my Flightmaster whistle to end up at Lorlathil. I did the Invasion quest where you have to kill the imps and a named imp, just east of Lorlathil. After that I did what was written above in this post.

Hopefully this can help someone figuring out why the "calls" proc when they do :)

DIDN'T GET THE APPEARANCE EVEN THOUGH YOU COMPLETED THE ACHIEVEMENT?

So, if someone is as confused as I was, here is a little help:

If you are confused about not getting the appearance after completing the thing and seeing the cinematic, it is because you need to return to your forge and choose the artifact appearance. It is called Moonspirit and is on the bottom of the appearances.

I thought it would happen automatically. It doesn't always. Especially if you have chosen a different appearance at some point.

It took me ages to find the stone in Feralas, and it was a solid 30yds from any trees in sight at the bottom of this hill/rock thing. Still in sight of the portal, just not at the base of a tree. Coordinates were 48,10

Relog. I searched for 30 minutes with all the coordinates and couldn't find it. Relogged and with 30 seconds I found it. Might be a bug, but just relog and hopefully that helps!

What if the emote comes up, you go into the right portal but cant find the stone? Will the stone be in that region until you find it? Or will it disappear? I had this case with one in my guild but customer service were just $%^&s about it, saying they cant reveal if thats intended or not.

A few days ago I used the macro while in balance spec. It returned that it was true, but none of the stones were up. It has been the same every day since. Today I was in feral spec and when I used the macro, everything returned false, even that of the event. I switched back to balance and it now says true. Does anyone have any ideas? I only recently leveled my druid and haven't spent much time at all in feral spec. But from the macro I assume I'm going to need to be in balance for it to proc the screech.
I switched through all the specs and used the macro on each one. They all said true, so I tried feral again and it said true. I'm not really sure what happened. Same macro, so just a weirdness I guess.

Okay, I don't know if it was some weird coincidence or what but I tried something and it seemed to work. While I was in cat form I used Dreamwalk to get to the Emerald Dreamway (yes I resumed humanoid form for the spell). Once the Emerald Dreamway loaded I immediately turned into cat again. As soon as I turned into a cat I saw my final "strange feral screech".

It could've been a coincidence or it could be that doing this changes the chances a little or it could be the solution to all our hopes and dreams. I just thought I'd let you guys know if anyone wants to see if they can replicate this.

8/14/2018, i just got my third screech today, and successfully got the final item from the moonspirit upon coming back into the emerald dreamway portal area. i got 2 of my 3 screeches before BFA, but the third was today, well after i had already gone to the new continent and started the new content. i ported back to moonglade after doing some questing, and the screech came from duskwood almost immediately. it's worth noting i was in balance spec and moonkin form at the time, i have no idea if that affected anything, just thought i'd throw that out there.

For all the peeps out there claiming they got the screech but can't find the stone, I figured it out: DO NOT LOGOUT / LOGIN in the dreamway.

The tracking quests for the owl cat stones are daily quests. Owlcat Stone Active Owlcat Stone Active Owlcat Stone Active

Meaning, if you farm this on an inactive alt and just login directly in the dreamway, the following process happens:

You login in the dreamway
You get the eligibility quests flagged
You will get your screech
But since it's your first login, the server will also do the daily reset on your character.

The macro

Will still say "true" / "eligible", because you did complete that quest flag today. But your eligibility will be "deleted" on the server side due to the daily reset upon first login. Hence you won't find any stone, even though you saw the screeching emote. Your milage will vary on this. I assume it all happens in the same second. So sometimes the daily reset happens first, sometimes you get the eligibilty quest first. Hence for some lucky few it will workout even if they logout in the dream way.

So don't shoot yourself in the foot. But make SURE, that the daily reset, doesn't mess up your eligibility. Simple solution: Logout your Druid OUTSIDE of the Dreamway. This will make sure that the server will process the Daily quest reset first. Then walk into the dreamway, check for the screech. If you didn't get the screech. Leave the Dreamway. Then logout. If you got the screech, search the stone.

I found out a secret to getting the screech! Yesterday I went to the emerald dream way first thing and heard nothing.
So I hearthed and switched toons to crank out a lowbie a few levels before bed... Later, right before I decided to log for the night I remembered I wanted to work on my Legion followers. I couldn't remember where any map was except in the dreamway. I hearthed back, and when I did so I heard the Screech!

What the heck? But thought Wait I didn't hear it the FIRST time that DAY
I wasn't able to go look for the stone because it was too late! :( SO I thought Tomorrow (AKA TODAY) I would try this trick.
This is what I did and I GOT IT for the second time in a row today!

1.) Logged in
2.) Temported Emerald dreamway
3.) no screech heard
4.) Hearthed.
5.) Switched to Feral
6.) Logged OUT of the game COMPLETELY - MUST log out COMPLETELY! - I tried it a few times saying logged in and hearthing or running through portals and then porting back to Emerald Dreamway. Staying logged in DID NOT work!
7.) turned off all addons

8.) Logged back in
9.) Ported to emerald dreamway
10.) Heard screech

IF YOU DO LOG IN AND OUT this should only take 3 days to complete. I would be on day 2 if I had time to find it yesterday.
IT MIGHT take you a few tries the same day BUT you wont have to wait WEEKS!

This like I said is PROVEN just log out and in. The percent chance to get it is low.

Having hunted this for a long time, I was getting discouraged with no third screech. I used the portal daily during Winter Veil to do the Greench daily, and never got my third screech. I was curious if one had to have come from a Legion zone, so today I went to Azsuna first from the Stormwind portal room and then teleported to the Dreamway. I got the last screech that I needed. It could be coincidence, but I figured I'd share the story in case it wasn't.

I've logged in once per day about 30-40 different times and havent received any screeches or sounds when inside the dreamway. I've used the script...

... most of the time is says my eligibility is false. Though, there have been a few times that it says true and yet i didn't receive any screeches. Can someone please tell me the point of that true or false statement? Also, when it says true, there is no information that pops up for any of the 3 locations from the script, they are all blank.
I've read the comments about logging out in different places, or using the dreamway port from different spots on the map and still nothing. I've made sure not to log out in the dreamway. I feel like I'm still doing something wrong to have not heard one screech after all these attempts.

Done today, and thanks to all the posters who literally made this possible! There is no way a casual player like me would have been able to figure out how to get there without all the tips and pics.

Couple of things from my experience:

When you finish touching the third stone and come back to the Emerald Dreamway, you'll see Ela'lothen right away. However, I made the mistake of sitting in front of him in Night Elf form, rather than Cat, and nothing happened. Realized the mistake and changed to Cat, and sat again in several different places around him, no joy. Came back to this marvelous thread to do some more reading, 5-10 minutes elapsed, and this time sat again, and it worked immediately. Bottomline, remember to be in Cat form when you sit in front of him.
I found the script posted by NoobTank on 2019/04/07 most useful in saving time.

Tips for anyone going and doing this:

The spawn location is randomized from a set number of possible locations in each of the three areas. Although people have posted the coordinates for where they found them, it could be any one of those or many others that were not posted. I would start with the coords that people have posted, though, or the locations shown in the screenshots if you can identify them.
Turn your Environmental Detail and Ground Clutter options all the way down to 1. This will make it a lot easier to spot.
It should be next to a tree, log, or architecture like a column. It will probably not be out in the open on its own, completely hidden behind something like the backside of a building, or underwater.
It should be within 400 yards of the portal. I haven't seen any coordinates posted that were further away than that. Obviously the Duskwood will be much closer since it's a smaller area.

So, after something like 3 months, checking every day, I finally unlocked this. Do not give up - sometimes it takes two weeks to get a screech. Check every day.

One more thing - to actually get the skin, you have to log out and back in. Otherwise it was not showing for me.

The screech triggers as you move forward in the Dreamway any time you enter after daily reset, if it doesn't trigger, try again tomorrow.

Anyone trying to find the statues after entering the zone and are having trouble do the following:

- Set "Ground Clutter" to 1.
- Set "Shadow Quality" to Low.

Now just fly around for 15 seconds and you'll find it.

So I spent way too much time trying to get the triggers to occur. I am not too sure if any GMs/DEVs even know the issue that I may or may not have witnessed. Please tell me if this works for you or if things just ended up lucky.

I found that someone was having an issue when they logged into the Dreamway and that the server would bug with overlapping queries of them being in the dreamway and triggering the event, which basically caused the event to crash and for you to miss the daily checkin.

Well I think I can further that hypothesis. I spent weeks trying to trigger my second “noise”. After reading this was an issue, I went OCD level preparedness.

So, as long as all the rest of your necessary steps are completed in the game:

1.) I wore a class artifact weapon (any).

2.) I made sure my Dreamway portal wasn’t glitched (I feel like it will randomly port you back into the Dreamway instead of last point, and mess up your fixed point). I use the spell it to travel away from the Dreamway before I logged out.

3.) I logged out over night, then I logged in the next day (daily reset) I teleported in and moved towards the bridge.

Also, make sure you are in feral spec when you /sit (x won’t give it to ya) in front of our feathery feline friend.

For a summary, I think the (‘where?’) issue is also linked to the porting spell. I was porting in and walking out without porting away, and I think the server somehow still sees us as in the Dreamway.

Please let me know if this helps, or if I am just crazy. :P

After the Shadowlands Pre-Patch, the Feather of the Moonspirit is still active. I earned mine today. The /dump scripts haven't been working for me since the Pre-patch dropped, but everything else is working as it should.

Prepatch broke something, picked something from someone, and combined to original guide in these comments above. Sort by popularity to see the guide.

When in game, paste the first line to chat, it will return true if you are eligble to perform the quest, then you can paste feralas, hinterlands, duskwood code to find out where the statue is, then use dreamway to go to area and find the statue. Its somewhere there where true value came from the script. Touch the statue, then you are done, wait for another day.

A few possibly helpful details:

I got the first two screeches within a week after completing artifact knowledge level 4 and then nothing for several weeks, so on a hunch I went back and researched the rest of the levels. I got the third screech the very next time I checked in after completing the last level. Could be a coincidence, but maybe worth trying if you're having a similar problem.
Found the third stone, made sure I was in feral spec and cat form, went to Ela'lothen and typed /sit. Nothing happened until I targeted him and typed /sit, and then he gave me the feather.
Using the feather didn't automatically unlock the appearance at the barber shop (9.0.1), so I went back to the Dreamgrove, equipped Fangs of Ashamane, and used the Seed of Ages to load the appearance manually. That still wasn't enough, so I relogged and it finally worked. I'm not sure both are necessary, so try relogging after you use the feather and if it's still not unlocked, go to the Seed of Ages and click on the first tile in the hidden appearance row to load the preview, then relog.
Good news! BfA world quests count toward unlocking the white appearance. Today there were 140 world quests available during one reset period in all Legion and BfA zones combined (dungeon, battle pet, assault, and supply quests included), so it's doable in two days if you have the time.

As of 9.0.1 you can still get the screeches. You do NOT need to complete your Class Order Hall Campaign to do so. I was level 50 but I'm not sure if Level has anything to do with it.

Also, for those of you who don't have macros, check under the stone ramp thing. I spent what felt like half an hour searching every tree near the portal to Feralas before I got a hunch and looked under the tamp and found it on the left side.

Found it today at 53,15 in Feralas after hearing the screech in the Dreamway and going through the portal to Feralas. It was pretty tough to spot. Set environmental detail and ground clutter to 1 and finally spotted the little stone with a paw symbol after flying around for 10 minutes.

I just got my feather of the moonspirit today but it does nothing when I click on it, is there a certain way to use it? I tried going over to the seed of ages, tried using it in cat form and nothing :( is this just a bug on my end or am I missing something?

Its not very large and not targetable.

I hadn't seen this in the comment section yet but figured it needed to be said. Just got my first screech today and figured some things out with it.

You must be 45+.

You must have completed "Uniting the Isles" to unlock daily quests.

I hit 45 through herbing, I had used the macro to check quest availability at 43 and 44 both times coming up false. I hit 45 and again it came up false. I mailed off all my herbs and completed the Uniting the Isles quest to unlock daily's and wanted to log out in the grove.
Zoned into the dreamway and was greeted with the achievement "Do 5 daily quests" and the emote pointing me in the direction of Duskwood.

Found the stone a little forward and to the right at 45 42.

Hello!
I need help: I started the whole process to get the owlcat form in my alliance char (dreamgrove quest in which you need to hear a yell of help from the portals). I took two phases of the screams with the alliance char and one scream with another char from the horde (who had just come in to test). The question is, when using the script below, I see that it increases the process of another color only in the horde. My main is alliance and I wish that this color upgrade could be used in the character that plays the most.

I just got the feralas stone today. I did NOT hear a screech but I used the following macro:

Just started on this about a week ago, picked up the Duskwood stone today - saw the screech emote in chat, ran my Macro, said Duskwood was up, went through the portal, there it was at the base of the first tree on the right. I didn't have to be in cat form or have my artifact weapon equipped.

Now I will wait for the other two I guess...although according to some that could take months... ><

After 5 months it finally happened, the Feralas stone was up! Just some notes; when I entered Moonglade I used the macro and it said "false", I then left through the Feralas portal and reentered and got the "screech from the direction of Feralas" emote. I then used the macro again and it said it was "true". Not sure if it's a glitch or something, but maybe on top of just hearthing in, also try entering and exiting through a portal. It's been a long hard effort checking back daily, but I love the new skin, and wish everyone the best in their hunt!

If you're dumb like I am, make sure that you are in cat form when you can see the NPC after the 3rd screech and do /sit. It won't give you the item if you're in any other form.

So, I finally got the third screech after checking on and off for a YEAR of real time. A while ago, I touched two stones and got the third screech not long after, but failed to find it, gave up, and logged out. Thus began my year-long drought of not a single screech. I started to wonder if my druid was bugged. Had I screwed up and missed my chance? How could I tell the difference between a system bug and really bad RNG?

A few days ago, I contacted support and they confirmed that I was suffering from RNG-itis and still eligible. I finally got it today. I was in Balance but I had equipped my Fangs before I checked. I then found the stone, switched to Feral (just to be safe), touched the stone, and met Ela'lothen. I targeted him, typed /sit, and he gave me the feather.

I've been playing as a guardian druid for about 2 years. Did pretty much all the quests from the class hall. Couldn't figure out why I've never heard a single screech. Yesterday while passing through my class hall, I noticed a quest. Apparently I never did the quest for the feral artifact weapon. As soon as I finished the quest and got the weapon, I went back into the Dreamway and immediately heard a screech. I've read through a lot of comments on here and none mention that you needed to actually collect the feral artifact weapon it order to collect the hidden appearance.

I was 2 screeches into this hidden skin, and then I had nothing for a few days. I used then macros that were posted on here, and for the first couple of days it said I was eligible. Now I'm getting the message that I am no longer eligible, and/or that I have already completed the quest.

I only ever heard two screeches, and touched the two stones on those days that I heard the screeches.

When I reached out with a support ticket with all of the information, all I was told was "to be perfectly clear, customer service can not assist with obtaining this skin. The only thing I can mention is that you haven't completed all the steps to unlock this skin." - not sure where in my ticket I asked for help obtaining the skin, or tried to tell them that I had, in fact, completed all of the steps when I hadn't.

Their recommendations for next steps were to post a comment here, on the blizzard forums, or if I think there is a bug, to report it.

I'm at a loss, and I'm hoping one of you awesome people will have some insight.

I've been trying to get hinterlands for over a year now, its such a slap to the face to spend so long trying to get the last prompt to spawn only to see new players log in and get it within a week; at this point if blizzard isn't going to address this issue i'm going to just refund my money and never touch the game, i've loved for over 10 years, again.

Just found mine in Feralas at 52 , 5 behind the tree. I was in Guardian spec without any artifact equipped but I had Fangs in my bag :)

Still working in Dragonflight. Didn't play druid in Legion, so no need any artefact lvl or anything like that indeed. Got mine for 3 weeks. Use Feral spec, Get Fangs of Ashamane on, then use Dreamwalk once a day. Sometimes screeches happened about 30sec after i arrived into zone, so don't rush to leave immediatly if u didn't hear anything, just run around a little. Good luck!

Hinterlands, finally found mine at /way 67, 20.5.

Got Feralas today, found it at /way 52.20, 10.76. Just to the left of the portal. Took awhile to find it as others mainly reported finding it not on the little island with the portal.
Setting Ground Clutter to 1 and Shadow Quality to Low helped it pop out.

Got very lucky and received the Duskwood screech today, found it at /way 42.50, 38.25.

I just got the feralas one done which was my 3rd and last one, but nothing happened. Came here to see if anyone had experienced something similar and it turns out there's a bug that some may reset? I used the script someone had posted here, and I guess I need to do duskwood again, which was my first one when I started going after this artifact appearance. :(

I could of swore I did this back in legion, but i guess i didn't. One thing I would check if you also think you got all the stones back in legion. Is try to just do a /sit infront of the cat and see if you get the feather in your inventory. I did this as feral spec, with the artifact weapon on.

It's something small but was definetly overlooked by me.

I just completed the screeches and sat in front of the cat. Recieved the token and used it to get the achievement and appearance. However now I cannot use the appearance. It does not show up anywhere in customization to be able to equip that look. Anyone else have this issue, or know how to fix this? Is it a bug, should I submit a ticket?

So, I was helping someone to complete their Hunter order hall, including getting Breaching the Tomb. I had already completed mine and so I seen this available and tried it.

I got it the first 2 days in a row but by then we finished her order hall and moved on to Shadowlands. I had logged out in legion the first two days, but on the third I logged out in Shadowlands. When I returned, nothing showed up. So, I decided to test it.

The next day I did shadowlands but by nights end before logging off I did a legion world quest and logged off in legion. The next day I got my third, the form and the achievement.

I'm not sure if its correlated, but it worked for me to stay in legion.

Anyone wondering how to track the other achieves for this, they got rid of AddTrackedAchievement and now it's:
