Alright, now this is pure BS. A cool minor Glyph, and it has less than 1% drop chance off of a Rare that has a 1-2 hour respawn time. You'd have a better chance of farming Deathcharger's Reins from Rivendare than getting this Glyph to drop. Odds are, most servers won't have a Scribe that knows this glyph during the entirety of MoPs remaining duration (especially the lower pop servers). The few Scribes that do learn this glyph, will be able to charge absolutely insane prices for it.
They should have at least gave this glyph a chance to drop off of any of the mobs in Heroic: Scholomance.

Drops off Rattlegore on the timeless isle. He has up to a 135 min respawn rate.

On low population servers you'll be lucky if someone from your server gets it since they merged servers for the isle.

The recipe drops for anyone, not only scribes. But the drop rate seems to be extremely low.

Many servers haven't even seen the glyph itself on the AH yet, more than a month into 5.4.

Ive been farming this since 5.4 hit with absolutely no luck

Blizz if you are reading this have some mercy and buff the drop rate to at least 5 percent!

Found this last night on the AH for 300g, 12 hours later I sold it for 27k.

I am a non-scribe and this dropped today for me. I feel bad because I wasn't intent on farming the item (wasn't even aware of it's existance, honestly :D)

Interesting to note that I had a Potion of Luck up on me when I killed Rattleskew. I honestly believe it increases the drop chance of such items, I started doing this when I was serious about the Elixir of Ancient Knowledge (BoA leveling special item from rare mob in Dread Wastes/Timeless Isle) and in particular I hunted the mob in Dread Wastes. After 7-8 kills (which was miraculous imo considering someone seems to always be spawn camping him, worse than time-lost proto drake during 3.x days lol) I had this idea to just keep some potions of luck in my bag and thereafter, every time that rare was up I tried using a potion, first time I did this I got an Elixir. The next 3 TIMES that week I saw him, I got the Elixir. Coincidence? Incredible RNG luck? Hax?

Sorry to go somewhat off-topic on this post but I felt this information might be beneficial to some of you who are farming the Technique: Glyph of Skeleton. Best of luck to you all! (imo: drink moar Potion of Loot... I mean, Luck)

Other than the low drop rate, another thing that annoys me about this is that because of the way that people's rare notification mods work, what almost always happens is that I go down there and fight the mobs on my own, and when the boss comes, a bunch of other people show up to kill him. They probably don't even know about the recipe, but because it has the potential to drop for non-scribes as well, it could drop for anyone. So that even though I camp this NPC for ages and have killed him countless times and always do the trash on my own, it's possible that the recipe actually dropped for one of the people who joined in to kill the boss without putting in any of the time or effort to kill the mobs first, wait for the spawn, etc (And this was voted down why...?)

I'd like to mention that I just learned this glyph from using Research: Midnight Ink on my scribe.

As of 6.0.2, it is no longer necessary to farm the Technique for this Glyph. It, and all Pandaria Glyph Technique drops, can now be learned via Research. As part of the patch, Inscription Research was broken out by basic ink types, and Glyph of the Skeleton is able to be learned via Research: Midnight Ink. I just finished researching *all* Pandaria glyph drops that I don't have on my Inscriptionist.

So now you only have to drive yourself crazy on Rattleskew for the Leg drop if you're doing Bigger Bag
