A few of these entrances are not accurate.. specifically RFC, Wailing Caverns and Dire Maul.

Comment by Bogdanov89

Upper black rock spire text is incorrect - it mentions the Iron Horde from the WoD expansion and the doomsday weapon, none of which obviously existed during Vanilla/classic.

Comment by Lionsrain

Deadmines dose not mention the Lavishly Jeweled Ring that drops off Gilnid. good for casters

Comment by Yrayl

Wrong map for:

Dire Maul Entrance.
- The map reference shows Orgrimmar, should be Feralas https://classic.wowhead.com/maps?data=357:585419

Wrong pin location for:

Ragefire Chasms
- Pin should be in the Cleft of Shadows.
https://classic.wowhead.com/maps?data=1637:444479

Wailing Caverns
- The pin should be farther north on the northern side of Lushwater Oasis (where it helpfully says Wailing Caverns)
https://classic.wowhead.com/maps?data=17:455355

Stockades
- The pin should not be in the Trade District. Stockades is located on the northern corner of the Mage District, directly diagonal from Cathedral Square.

Is it possible to add every quest related to each dungeon in this overview?
I would be forever grateful if they were added!

Comment by thedrjake

Does anybody remember how long these took to complete? With a good group of course. My memory is so skewed due to the fact that, for the last 30 times running these, its been a complete OP fest with heirlooms.

Comment by Polynices

Everquest 2 came out at the same time as WoW!

I assume the writer meant just plain Everquest but it's funny to see it suggested that the disaster that was EQ2 could have inspired anything least of all WoW's instances.

Comment by Ariecho

RFD is not 40-50. At 49, you get ZERO XP doing it.

Comment by ivysnia

had a lvl 38 in party in ZF yesterday, so min level is <39

Comment by Bren0man

Thanks for creating this useful guide.

I'd like to contribute that the minimum level of entry for the dungeons listed in this guide are inaccurate. 74% of them are incorrect, and 21% of them are incorrect by 8 levels or more - according to the minimum level requirements stated by the game itself when you're too low to enter.

I personally intend to validate as many of the in game level claims as I can by entering the dungeons level by level (just in case even Blizzard has one or two incorrect), but this will take some time as I need to level up another toon to do so. As I progress I will periodically return to update the table.

As evidence to support my claims, the following Imgur link contains screenshots of the in game-stated minimum levels of entry: https://imgur.com/a/MZWvGUa

All of the screenshots contained in the above link were taken on 2024-11-24.

Nota bene: This information pertains to World of Warcraft Classic Era only, and was tested on Whitemane realm. I cannot vouch for Season of Mastery, Season of Discovery, Hardcore, Anniversary or any other type of realm that exists now or in the future where there may be differences. The Classic Era game version that is current when this comment is initially posted is 1.15.5.
