With hotfixes coming soon, we’re making the following adjustments to the Hearthstone’s 10th Anniversary Event:

Fixed a bug where it was possible to complete the Whizbang encounter and not receive Trading Post credit for it.
Players can now collect missing cards by using the Hearthstone Gameboard toy to defeat others in a friendly game. It will continue to drop cards after the event ends.
The event duration has been extended by 96 hours, and is now scheduled to end on Friday, March 22.
For the remainder of the event, the boss portal will open every 30 minutes (was every 60 minutes).

sitting at the table, you do not get any progress for achievement, had a guy throw cards on the table for the opponent, and for myself - Nothing did anything.
- even tried not clicking any buttons, and having ppl throw cards in.

This guide is lackluster.

The event starts randomly. Use the group finder and tag in as many groups for the event as you can. You might think that the group leader is picky, but I encourage you to start a group on your own and realize that you will get flooded with requests. As long as you hit Dr. Boom you should be able to loot him. Be careful of massive lags leading to the bosses HP to not adapt to group size and making him fall nearly instantly.

The Fiery Hearthsteed and the achievement isn't available as of 11th march noon. Edit 2: Got the mount now. You will get a notification when you log into HS. The mount will then be available in WoW in your collection. The feat of strength will be added to your achievement points. Didn't see the achievement appear tho.

Edit: Don't buy the loot off of other players. The drop rates seem to be rather high, therefore you should get all the items eventually as long as you keep farming the event.

What our group has gathered in terms of Spawning
Server: EU-argentDawn
We suggest players turn down graphics in case of farming this event. Due to the surge in playercount and effects.
I consider this info up to date now - and no longer in need of constant updates. If replies are made, I'll update it once or twice on a daily basis. If there's something important DM me in WoW if I'm on.

BIG NEWS
Seems like bigger Groups in SW are now getting sharded to help the servers - absolutely game changing!

With a hotfix that is now live on all realms, Whizbang’s portal should now spawn simultaneously in all three locations, every hour.

Can I do it on a level 1 character?
You won't be getting the invitation quest - so doesn't seem like you can (we haven't confirmed or received info about it).

Can I do this solo?
However, being in a party or raid might actually benefit you more due to sharding. So it'll be easier and quicker for you, if you were in a group with others. Sharding also seem to affect spawns - however, you can only get certain items once per hour per char (like unique bag).
Might also consider doing cross-realm from a big server like Argent-Dawn down to a smaller one to reduce lag.

Quests
The Quests doesn't really seem to matter at all for this event - seems like you can completely skip them. If you wish to be 150% secure, then do them. We don't currently plan on it given the information we know.

Rotation?
After the latest update from bluepost - ALL portals now span every hour on top of the hour 1am 2am 3am, etc..
Weakaura is no longer needed for rotation purposes

How do I get to the faction cities as a the other faction?
To get to Org as an alliance you can use the Mount Hyjal portal in SW and fly there. Or port to Caverns of time and dragonflight to Org.
To get to SW as a horde you can use the zeppelin to Grom'gol in Stranglethorn or use the Twilight portal and fly to SW.
Another option to get to org is also a zeppelin in Waking Shores.

A tip for Horde to quickly get to SW: If you've unlocked the Manapoof Pet Battle Dungeon teleports, you can teleport to the Deadmines Pet Battle Dungeon. Much quicker than the other methods. -Taizunz

IN GAME CHANNEL?
Made a channel called "Sarge" as the pet name. /join Sarge to enter. Letting us share information outside of trade channels and anywhere at any time.

Known player issues
FIXED - We're currently unable to complete Hearthstoned: Fiery Edition on EU servers. - You'll have to log into Hearthstone and press the "gift" in the down left before logging back into WoW.
FIXED - The Stone of the Hearth doesn't work currently.
INFO - Appears to not actually be on the loot table and was updated to Reno's Lucky Hat So only ONE hat to get in this event for Tmog. -Gravitized
FIXED (AS CURRENT 03/12/2024 00:40 server time) SW portal spawns more frequently with odd intervals - you might be lucky joining multiple within and hour for faster loot currently. You can do shard hopping and realm hopping - this will most likely be changed in a hotfix.

Having a hard time tagging them?
Should consider using a macro, especially if there's players from the other factions as tab wont work.

We recommend not using Eyes For You Only - seems to cause targeting issues for some but not all - try at your own risk.

Live update stream on Twitch is no longer in sessions - as the info seems sufficient.

SW situation

Thoughts
They didn't think enough when it comes to releasing this event when you think about how the Goblin event went with D4. If you're on a large realm, then there's absolutely no way this is enjoyable. Some of these portals taking 30min to 60min to complete - skewing over the whole timeline of portal spawning and shifting it by a ton in the end, decreasing the amount of loot you can get over all. Realm hop to a smaller realm if you wish to enjoy this.
If you're on a large realm and don't wish to farm this early on - then I would suggest you stay away from Stormwind very specifically. It's the only one where we've legit had multiple crashes and rollbacks multiple times in a row.

You can trade loots with people even if not partying with them. I have given a Reno's hat to someone not being in their party

You can also loot with a starter character from a starter account

The spawning of the portals seems complete broken (EU). Either this is all random and I had some bad luck, or they really have to fix that darn code when they wake up in the US.
The last 3(!) rounds of portals I had were ALL in SW. 16:35 + 17:07 + 17:35 MEZ

When does this start on US servers? No portal spawn at any location for 12pm or 1pm times on Silver Hand server. No mount for logging in and no Hearthstone Invitation Letter. I even logged into Hearthstone first before logging into retail WoW. I have a character camped at each location and there's nothing going on at any of them when I rotated logging them in on the hour.

US server Area 52- it's past 10:30 (pst) and it is not yet avaiulable (no email, no boards). No word form Blizzard. Wish they would put some notification of trouble or delays so we're not all jsut sitting there waiting.

About the Fiery Hearthsteed mount. They did 500mb update an hour ago and after that you can just log in and get the mount. If you are log into WoW at the same time and dont recieve it, just exit and enter again WoW , thats it. (Time to unistall after) :D

Just FYI for those checking out this guide: you need to log onto Hearthstone first for the Hearthsteed mount. The article is wrong about simply logging in on wow and getting it. If you haven't done the HS tutorial, you'll likely need to do that first before you get credit for it.

After having rares spawn in Stormwind at 2:05 EST, they spawned a second time around ten minutes later. No idea what causes this, if it's random or if it has something to do with the game boards.

If you played in Shadowlands when the Wandering Ancient got added, the mount was said to be active to log in but it was bugged and they fixed it but it meant delays on getting the mount appear for a lot of people. Its a +1 and it will appear in due time, try not to let it frustrate you

It is pretty ironic that the Hearthstone Anniversary Event is much bigger and better implemented in WoW compared to actual 10th anniversary event in Hearthstone itself

One thing I noticed is that you don't loot twice the same thing.
I never got any duplicates from the Boss, even with the cards, but I sometimes loot nothing at all.
I don't think it's just by chance. It seems if you do the event often enough, you'll get everything and no chance of duplicates, but it's just my theory.

Seriously, no one should be allowed to use toys that trash the ground or clutter up the areas where these bosses spawn. it makes lag all the worse. Didn't WoW make it impossible to use toys in the past during one of the events where we had to kill bosses like this?

So I've done about 7 hours worth of this event and managed to get all the drops besides collecting all the cards for the collection achievement. Overall the drop rate for everything seems pretty high compared to the previous Treasure Goblin event.

A big tip to save time is to use LFG to hit multiple events for each hour. Apparently the boss portals spawn later for some shards, so if you're quick enough you can join different groups and catch multiple boss kills each hour. There's no drop cooldown per hour. I've been able to get item drops from several boss kills during the same hour. At the top of the hour, join the biggest LFG group you can find to ensure a quick kill, then immediately drop from group after looting the boss, and look for another group in LFG. I've been able to hit 2-3 boss kills for each hour that way.

(edit: the info below is no longer relevant since blizzard changed it so that spawns occur at all locations now)
I just parked a different alt at each location so I didn't have to waste time traveling around each hour. I don't know if there's a level requirement, but I'm guessing it's like the Treasure Goblin event, so you can just park a low level throwaway alt in the opposite faction's city.

There's a WeakAura on Wago.io that tells you where the next spawn is going to be. Search for "voz' Hearthstone Event".

You need to log into Hearthstone (apparently on PC, some say the mobile app won't count), then log into WoW, during the event to collect the mount. Not just WoW.

If you're wondering about doing it non-max level, I used a 61 troll shaman on Ravencrest tonight and got the mount and a card, as well as trader's tender progress!

Cant guarantee everything but the mount 100% did drop.

Correction:

Hearthstone Card: Arcane Missiles has also been datamined, but is not included in the Achievements so may have been removed.

The Spell is used by the Card Forbidden Words

There should have been another Transmog added in as a reward for this event, a Backpack that has the same appearance as the Icon for the Collector's Carryall in order to help complete the rest of the tmog set: We have a hat to store our favorite cards, and a belt to "Hearth" us back, and a Tabard to show off our prowess on the board. Why not have a fannypack similar to the Trading Post one to store the rest of our deck inside of whenever we step up to the table?

Also, why not include a Hearthstone Board Offhand or Shield for a Transmog option?

The guide is incorrect.

You need to login to Hearthstone between March 11th and May 14th, not World of Warcraft...

1 week is not enough time for everyone to get all the rewards. Usually we get AT LEAST 2 weeks.
If there is lag, which there almost always is, then people can miss out because the boss gets killed so fast.
Also can we loot multiple times on one toon? Not everyone has heaps of alts.

It appears that the Sarge pet WILL NOT drop again if traded off to a friend, who also tagged the boss. On day one I got the Sarge pet fairly early (2nd or 3rd attempt of the day). I traded it to a friend who has much less time to play than I do.

Since day one, I have been running an average of 15 hours, getting multiple portals per hour, averaging about 4 portals per event. I am running 5 accounts on my Bnet at a time. Along side of me are a couple of friends who are farming bags on alts and have all learned the pet after getting him to drop early in the event. None of them have seen it drop again, after having learned it. Everyone I know got Sarge fairly quickly, within 20 attempts or so.

Unfortunately I don't have rarity running, but averaging attempts:

Day 1 - 5 characters - 15 Hours - 4 Shards = 300
Day 2 - " " " = 300
Day 3 - " " " = 300

So 900 at the lowest, considering I didn't add in other friends who have been with me not seeing it and the nonsense in Stormwind on Day 1. Running out of time to have it be addressed through the ticket system. Very frustrating.

I don't know if this this will help anybody, but for those with limited amounts of time:
-I've found that doing the event on different alts, I would get a new item I didn't have before on every first kill of the day.

I have various alts level 27-70. They all were able to loot just by tagging. I noticed it only seemed to matter that I tagged the Dr. Doom mob.
As long as I was able to get to that guy, I got loot. The battle pet I got off of the level 27 tag. And the mount from a level 70 tag, so I don't think it matters a whole lot the level. And, like others have mentioned- the only "repeat" item you will get off the boss are the 36 slot bags, and the "wild" hearthstone cards.
-I was able to complete all the items AND even the full card collection in one day via this method of alt-switching.
With the recent "buff" to the event with the portal spawns, I'm sure even late-comers will be able to get what they want from it! Good luck all~

My luck for getting any remaining cards seems to have plummeted since they implemented the game board rewards and added in the gray trash 'cards' as extra loot for you to get. It snuffs out a lot of chances you could get of getting loot you failed to get prior to the change, and thus extending players' time on this event. Seen nothing but gray trash cards and Wild cards for the past three hours. Game board in general is bugged, mana-cost is bugged and costs as much for "2" as it could for Legendary. Pretty unsatisfied with the event now, because even with two possible portals up I keep getting garbage and no stolen loot cards. It feels worse than when it launched.

Good to know:

If you for whatever reason (like for example to be nice to your husband) has traded a collectible card, then the system registers it as you have already gotten it, meaning that it won't drop from the portal bosses again (probably, it seem so atm).

The solution is in the latest hotfix: you can get cards from the toy, altough so far I oly got a few wild cards and junk cards. I will update when/if I get my missing card.

UPDATE: I have accepted my fate, that I will be one card short of the achievement, it is bugged, I will never see that missing card again. And lo and behold, today I have gotten a stolen card and it has turned into the missing card. So I have the achievement.

Do not give up hope, keep killing the boss, keep playing Hearthstone in WoW, you will get the card!

I really wish they would have extended this through Saturday at 11am or midnight. Because I was so busy the last few weeks with work I couldn't log on at all. :( So I missed out on all the stuff I really wanted to do. Oh well, just my FOMO talking. But it feels bad.

this is STUPID ! i just logged in today, march 24 after the event .. and i did get the quest It's Heartstone's anniversary.... woohoo
but the event is ended and cant even do the quest cuz there is no npc at all ! so why do i still get that quest after the event has ended?

I missed out on the whole damn thing. Played plunderstorm, loggid in on my hunter day one of Plunder, but saw no mention of the hearthstone event up until then. It was waaay too short. This makes me afraid of every not logging into wow. I saw the Plunderstorm ad the moment it got out, people were talkin about it. But the hearthstone event flew completely under my radar after takin a break in february.. Also why the hell was bnet news so empty of anniversary news in wow tab in regards to the event? All i saw was plunderstorm news and mount offer. Am i suppose to just not take a break anymore? No videos was recommended to me regarding it either, just plunderstorm.
