When does the things you need to do for coins reset? Daily? Weekly? Only doable once?

Also, is there a visible tracker of some kind? Thinking of e.g. (world) quests/pet battles/raid bosses etc?

FYI for the "Defeat 25 Raid Bosses" activity, it counts ANY raid boss. This means you can kill bosses from older raids and get progress towards this activity. If, you're like me and are still farming mounts from raids like ICC, etc. you can automatically complete this activity just by going about doing those old world raids.

Additionally, some quick raids with bosses relatively close by are Vault of Archavon, Ruby Sanctum, Throne of the Four Winds, Terrace of Endless Springs, etc. Hope this helps! :)

Any idea how to get credit for the Traveler's Log "Complete The Optional Waking Shores Storylines" if you have already completed them? It shows check marks beside all quests that you need to complete but I didn't unlock the progress in the Traveler's Log.

Comment by EuliX

What does it mean "buddy system" for the climbing world quests? do I need to have a friend?

Comment by bugaschmoo

Looks like loving Alexstrasza in Valdrakken is bugged. It doesn't give credit for the Show Some Love to the Dragon Aspects activity.

Update - Had to try like 5 times to get credit.

Comment by nekromansara

So, if i'm understanding it correctly, once i've finished the Traveler's Log progress bar, i cannot recieve more Trader's Tender from completing the activities right?

Comment by Greensmower1

Something handy to have in a guide such as this, how many points needed to earn the traders tender reward? Also if I’ve understood the Hume correctly, these tasks should reset on a monthly basis when the new items come up in the trading post correct?

Comment by dylacat

I misread the objective of showing love to fallen dragons......I thought that we had to love all 4. I was on the Spine of Deathwing forever last night. Everything was dying so fast...I just had to look at them and they would die. lol So happy that it only needs to be 2 of them. XD

Comment by Hyphie

For 50 dungeon bosses, it's bosses that grant XP and being level 70, only DF dungeons "grant" xp to you. So make a 2nd account attached to your main battle.net, you can take a max level toon through a low level dungeon with an alt (at least over level 10 otherwise you can't zone them into the instance). Any bosses killed by your main with the alt inside the dungeon counts for boss kills.

Pick a dungeon that's short and has a decent amount of bosses, Stockades (Alliance) is short but 3 bosses, Ragefire (Horde) has 4, Deadmines & shadowfang is "short" with 5 etc. Pick one that you feel is more efficient (maybe take a toon that has appearances you haven't learned from a dungeon)

Just make sure the toon is inside the instance

So, it's day 2 of the Trading Post activities and as of now at 2PM PST, my progress is back to ZERO (0). The wording says to complete these activities for the 1000 pt reward for the month & that you have blah blah days to do this.
Are we expected to complete alllllll these things in 1 day?
I'm hoping this is just a glitch issue and will show progress for my efforts this month I've already done & we're not expected to do this in 1 day...?
Problem is, is that WoW has implemented WQs and Dailies for sometime now & it really feels like a full-time job.
Thx in Adcance~

Has anyone had issues with the auction house credit or the weekly gathering? I've made 10k off the AH today and did my weekly gather, but nothing counted....

Comment by Pouned

Seems there are many bugs. I did sell for over 8k of plants and minerals at the auction house, just to see the progress of selling 5k not activate. So I went for other activities, filled the bar up to 1000 and.. no mount. Logout, Login. Same. Asked people on my server, and they don't get the mount. Some of them receive "500" only to see they received nothing in the end... Since those problems are affecting everyone, whatever server you are from, it can only mean this has been pushed from PTR to the game without testing. Long gone is the Blizzard that would NEVER let something reach production, game or anything, until it was in perfect order and utmost quality.

Comment by melianel

I don't always get the sold auctions money counted for "Earn 5,000 gold from auctions in the Auction House". At first I thought it might be because I use the TSM interface for mi mailbox, but switching it off I still have the problem. Is anyone else having this problem? is there a "right way" to collect the money?

Comment by Elmiril

I completed the 1000 points and it says I have collected all of my rewards for the month, but, I do not have the Darkmoon set, it's not in my inventory, when I go to transmog it is not in there. Any ideas?

Comment by RomeoX

For the 25 Raid Bosses, any raid should count. I ran Naxxramas and got most of it done easy.

Thousand Boat Bash (June):
You don't have to literally sail around the Dragon Isles in the ocean for the task. You can go to each zone, land in a river and get on your boat to get the credit.

Children's Week (May):
If you don't get credit for finishing the Northrend Orphan quest chain, relogging will fix it.

Volunteer Guard Day (April):
You can still get the tender even if you missed getting 10 city invader kills during the Volunteer Guard Day itself as long as you still have the 24h buff up. Useful if you log off for the night and forgot to get the kills during the Guard Day.

Comment by Raevenne

It would be great if these lists were accurate. There are things listed here that aren't actually in the list in game for May.

Comment by 0Aloreth

You do not need the Darkmoon Balloon to do the balloon task! You can do it with the Alliance or Horde Balloon, which you can get from a short quest in your faction capital. Spare yourself 90 tickets.

Just an FYI - I think it is Community Feasts?

Just a reminder that you don't have to wait til Midsummer Festival to do this activity if you already have the toy.

Celebrate the Fire at the Obsidian Throne

Use the /dance emote at a Brazier of Dancing Flames toy - obtainable during the Midsummer Fire Festival - at the Obsidian Throne.

"Catch Fish in Lava Areas of the Dragon Isles - Only requires catching 20 fish!"
Not sure that's correct. Tried on an alt but was told by another fishing person that you NEED Tuskarr Renown 15?

Comment by Juniperacid

what do i need to do to get credit for the pandaria quests? i've tried it with my main and then with a lower level so that i would gain experience, but it doesnt seem to matter and all the quests i'm doing is not tracking. any ideas?

If you’re looking at doing the Catch Fish on the Broken Isles, then a unique, and somewhat quick, way at completing it would be to quickly go through the dungeon, Tazavesh, the Veiled Market, and go to the Stormheim part of the dungeon (after So’azmi), and just pull and kill all the murlocs in the area, surprisingly, the fish they drop when you loot them counts as part of the Traveler’s Log Item!

"Win Duels on the Dragon Isles"

Nope. Cannot duel in Valdrakken.

This is less a contribution to how the trading post works and more a fun easter egg I saw happen at the Horde location of the Trading Post in Orgrimmar.

Occasionally in Orgrimmar you'll see NPC's go up to the trading post to try and buy items or bargain with the traders. For any OG players or lorehounds (like me) there is a fun easter egg they brought in. One of the NPC's that go to the trading post in Orgrimmar happens to be Mankrik. Apparently he has finally moved on from his lost wife and has begun attempting new love with Mahka. The conversation between Mankrik and Shiri (one of the traders) shows up as text in your chat box if you're close enough.

Text from the Easter Egg moment:
Mankrik says: Shiri.
Shiri says: Mankrik, how can I help ya?
Mankrik says: Looking for a new sword.
Shiri says: Sure thing. Anything else?
Mankrik mumbles something.
Shiri says: What was dat, mon?
Mankrik says: ...I said, can I also get a bracelet. A nice one.
Shiri says: We only sell nice ones. Who's it for?
Mankrik says: ...Mahka.
Shiri says: Good for you. It's about time.
Mankrik grunts.

Its missing 2 sections Final Surge and Mists of Pandaria. Final Surge which is listed complete 15 Quests from 10/25-10/31 implies a last bit of questing for the Dream Surge material before the new patch drops, indicating that the patch 2.0 drop oct 31 or nov 7th likely nov 7th after BlizzCon.
Final Surge: Complete Quests (15 from 10/24 - 10/31)
Final Surge : Complete World Quests (15 from 10/24 - 10/31)

Complete Quests (15) in Pandaria
Catch Fish in Pandaria (50)
Defeat Pandaria Master Tamers
Tend to your Farm at Sunsong Ranch (Soil Tilled)
Hallow's End : Visit Candy buckets in Pandaria (10/18 - 10/31 5 candy Treats)

Is there an update for November 2023? The article is still showing October 2023...

Comment by eeedge

For "Timewalking: Complete 5 Cataclysm Timewalking Dungeons," I did 5 random dungeons today (2/2/24) and got credit for all five on the weekly quest but only 4 for the activity. I'm guessing they have to be five DIFFERENT dungeons for the activity.

For Eat a Festival Dumpling and shoot a Festival Firecracker during the Lunar Festival, you actually need a Festival Firecracker, sold by Lunar Festival Vendor. They're in major cities and Moonglade (over by the lunar portals in the southwest of the zone)

Mists of Pandaria Timewalking (Feb 1-Feb 6)

Those dates are wrong. MoP Timewalking in Feb 2024 are Feb 20 - Feb 27.

Very sad that this wasn't updated for June. :( It says 'June' on the buttons but it just takes you to May. My friend just got back into the game and this would've been the perfect guide for her very first time doing the trading post.
