Soul Ash: One of the returning systems in Shadowlands, the Adventures Table, can spawn missions that award players with Soul Ash, the resource used by the Runecarver to empower Shadowlands Legendary Armor.

Chronicle of Lost Memories: This catch-up item is obtained with Grateful Offering, a currency obtained by completing tasks with your Anima Conductor, which requires Reservoir Anima to power up. With this item, you are able to learn a Memory for a Legendary you have not yet obtained.

How to Obtain Reservoir Anima

Uncommon Quality Anima tokens grant 5 Anima to your reservoir;
Resonance of Conflict is a special Uncommon Anima token that is awarded when completing Anima World Quests with War Mode on.

35 Anima250 Anima

Rares and Chests: Killing rares and looting chests in the four main zones in Shadowlands grants between 1 to 3 Uncommon Anima tokens. This can be repeated daily.

World Quests: Anima Tokens are one of the possible rewards for World Quests in Shadowlands, with a World Quest granting between 2 to 4 Rare Anima tokens.

I don't know if it needs to be Heroic or something specific, but I just did a dungeon and got zero anima tokens from bosses.

Are the dungeon quests that award 3x 250 anime tokens going to be repeatable, or are we going to be farming 5-35 anime per token once we do those big payout missions?

Yeah, I've had bugger all in dungeons. I've had way more luck with just rare farming in the open world, I've always had SOMETHING even if it's only 5 anima.

How is one supposed to amass 70k+ anima with these quests and whatnot giving 10 - 280 ? Is there another method that gives more anima that isnt the rare tokens ?

I just passed 10k anima and the "bubble" that's showing in the bottom left of the Sanctum Reservoir is now full and glowing up. Is this just a visual bug or is something else about to happen to it now? 'Cause the figure in the right bottom does (as per this article) state that the limit of the reservoir is 35k anima.

How does one farm Redeemed Soul? I've had some from Quests but surely there is a faster way than the occasional quest.

35 anima for daily dungeons 35-105 from world quests while each mount and tier 2 upgrade costs 5000 anima each.
Blizzard is definitely the most greedy company in existence.

Earning anima for the 1000 quest - REQUIRED to progress covenant:
- The 2 inn dungeon missions in Oribos - once a week gives 5x35x2 = 350
- world boss - gives 250
is 600

then youre on your own.
WQ gives 2-4 x35, not all of them, some give stuff u dont need. that is approx. 3x35 = 105
So you have to do 4-5 WQ which award anima, 2 dungeons and the world boss per week to get the quest done.
This is insanely time consuming.

With that toon you have to do also
- 2x thorgast run (at least) - you HAVE To do this, as when you fall behind - there is no possibility to correct this - for soul ash
- 1x thorgast mission - story progression
- the MAW - i don't even know why i am doing this
- some mythics/pvp/raid for gear and memories, which take time to get a grp as dps..
- after you've collected 1000 anima you get the covenant mission line for the week.

have 2 toons - tank and rogue. really wanted to get to priest and mage,
but as i have a RL too (and i spend a lot of HOURS ingame)
i see myself being barely able to play through this with 2 toons.
And so the game enjoyment seems to vanish as there is no time for side-storylines finishing, mount farming, timewalking, old content, group content, helping others, professions, gold farming etc.

i do not care about the cosmetic rewards, but blizzard should reconsider the requirement to get 1000 anima to be able to play new covenant missions. Just make it 300-500 and all is good.

/Rant 2 - covenant. So you are stucked with the one covenant with the best ability for your class (you're gimp when choosing something else).
Suppose i do not like the covenant /yes, fae, i am looking at you. Still, the next alt which is supposed to take the same covenant HAS TO play through all that stuff once again - incl the 1000 anima quest.
Just make same Covenant questing account wide (for alts) or let me use abilities from another covenant i have previously opened and played to idk renown 10.

What is the best way to farm Anima?

What I found so far, if you are a solo player like me. I found that the best way to farm Reservoir Anima is to hang out near the BMH in Revendreth. Kill mobs for the drops that turn in for 35 Reservoir Anima. Anyone find a better way, please let me know. I have 13 more characters to get all the transmogs, and the anima grind is a killer.

i really hope they increase anima received after doing content. at the moment it takes like 2 weeks to collect 10k anima when playing 10 hours every day

At what point in the game do we learn this ? I don't want to have to wowhead/YT/google everything in the game to figure out the importance and how-to of each individual item. Anima was randomly offered as a reward while I was questing and nothing in-game says why it matters?

Two things I've not seen listed here that I think may be worth mentioning. First, the term 'bags' includes your bank. Perhaps obvious or 'known' to some or most, but if you have anima token items in your bank, they will be added to the Reservoir. With that said, the Reservoir will stop taking the items once it is full. The items will then fill up your bags and bank slots until you need or can add more to the Reservoir.

If you're like me and came here looking for info on how to transfer Anima from one toon to another, visit Au'Dara right next to the Flight Master in Oribos. 1k to 1k transfer. If only they did this in Dragonflight with certain "currencies".....

The fastest way to farm anima in Dragonflight + is to open chests in Zereth Mortis, period. There are other things you can do to gain anima that will also grant other benefits, but if you are only after anima then it's the chests. Even killing rares in Zereth Mortis will slow you down enough to yield a lower anima per hour rate.

You also get anima from completing the ZM weekly, so it makes sense to do this on any alts you have if you're in for a hardcore farm, and funnel the anima to whichever toon needs it using the anima transfer. If you're after some variety, you can also complete the 500 anima WQs on each toon, but again, that will slow you down.

Edit 11.1.5: Now that rares are so quick to kill in endgame, they basically count as chests as well.

Been farming a ton of anima for transmogs. I do the 3 world bosses, most of Nathria LFR, anima WQs if they're in my way, Korthia dailies with anima, and flybys of Zereth Mortis. ZM has had high traffic lately for some reason so it has been bad for grinding.

I actually prefer to grind Torghast. A level 16 Flawless run in Upper Reaches + Adamant Vaults takes me ~13-14 minutes (a little more if I'm gathering Redeemed Souls) and gives 18 of the 35 anima tokens (650 total). It is pretty high effort though.
