The 2 piece set for Mistweaver "Grandiose Font" increases HoT healing by 5% and increases it by 5%.This 2 piece is essentially useless in PvP considering Essence Font costs far too much mana for the benefit it does gives. This will not be worth getting for us.

The 4 piece set for Mistweaver "Tea of the Grand Upwelling" causes a rune to spawn when casting Thunder Focus Tea. Standing within the rune increases all healing done to be increased by 450 while within its bounds. This seems lackluster for us considering we are not a standstill class and are constantly moving around. It could be good for burst healing but we already excel at that so this is likely not worth the effort in obtaining.

The first, our bread and butter talent Chrysalis, got a nerf from 45s reduction to 30s reduction. This is a pretty big nerf to the talent but considering how weak Cocoon is, the change is minimal and even leaves us open to swapping this out for the new talents.

The new PvP Talents added are Peaceweaver, Dematerialize, and Thunderous Focus Tea. These talents are very good but very situational. Peaceweaver can be good as a micro-CC stop and used as a better instant recovery of your team against DoT cleaves. Dematerialize is a good addition considering Monks die in stuns and are extremely squishy. Finally, Thunderous Focus Tea is good and situational for using it to buff Crackling Jade Lightning as a pseudo-interrupt in arena and maybe even for Essence Font to gain even more mobility, although this use is particularly wasteful and inefficient.

Lastly, the absolute overhaul a few of our talents got are for Counteract Magic, Refreshing Breeze, and Eminence. These changes are good and bad in favor of our class. The Counteract Magic revamp made the talent a lot worse and I would even consider it a hard nerf to the class, considering a strength we had was that we were good against DoT cleaves because we required little mana to heal because our Renewing Mist would take most of the slack off of us. The Refreshing Breeze change is decent but is pretty useless regarding the healing and the dispel is good situationally but is basically a casted dispel as well as a ramping one. The Eminence change is really good and likely one of the best changes. The port in stun is very useful against comps that can kill you in stuns and has saved me countless times in the few weeks I have played arena this patch.

The covenant and legendary changes are essentially meaningless for PvP considering most all the covenants for our class are not ideal and not focused to be useful in PvP.

Mistweaver Monk in Shadowlands Patch 9.0.5

Regardless of the mana changes to Vivify and Renewing Mists, our place in the meta had not shifted.

The minor buff to Venthyr's Fallen Order is decent, so there's some good news if you choose to play Venthyr!
