Reputation Requirement: Honored with Hand of the Prophet/Vol'jin's Headhunters is required to buy Ship Blueprint: Battleship / Ship Blueprint: Battleship for . Friendly reputation is fairly easy to get with a Trading Post Level 3 as you get a good bulk of reputation from the initial Tanaan questline.

Question: For the "Naval Domination" quest, does it count treasure missions already completed before the quest is obtained? In other words, should I prioritize treasure missions even while I'm completing missions to unlock my level 2 shipyard?

When you use items like Unsinkable and the Tuskar Net, do they take up one of the two equipment slots?

Don't forget to use your Mission Completion Orders on naval missions if you have a Mage Tower/Spirit Lodge, these will greatly help with the 2 day missions.

May want to add 'High Intensity Fog Lights,' (counters Dense Fog) the blueprint for which is found on Xanzith the Everlasting in Throne of Kil'Jaeden.

Really not happy that the Shipyard is a mandatory part of the legendary quest line. From what I can gather, people simply do not enjoy the shipyard as it's just another version of the follower table they've spent the last 7 months dealing with. I don't find it fun in any way, and it's tedious more than anything. I was sincerely hoping I could just ignore the shipyard completely.

Remember the furore when people were forced into doing PvP for the PvE cloak? This is worse. At least those you could knock out in under an hour. These look like they'll take at least 10 days once you have gotten your level 2/3 shipyard and gotten the correct combination of boats. God only knows how long that will take the average player.

I get that Blizzard wants to stretch the legendary ring quest line out a bit, but forcing people to use the shipyard (which is already garnering a poor reputation) is not the way to do it.

I have created an outline for the required ships for all of the Legendary missions (minus the first one, which requires a Transport). Note that there are other combinations, these are just the ones that I used.

Not really a comment but I think I have a relevant question. If the missions fails how long does it take to respawn? I used a mission completion order on it and it failed, has yet to reappear, any ideas?

The issue with some of those equipment upgrades without plans is that you don't know if/when they'll proc and if they'll be on a ship you can make use of them. Add in you have to counter so many abilities and need to use both equipment slots for such, they're rather useless in comparison.

As far as legendary naval missions are concerned, transports and murloc crews are useless after you clear the first mission.

Also, if your first mission (or subsequent ones) is not spawning, try clearing some blockades.

First three missions in the chain can be done with a 100% success rate without the need to jump through hoops. (4th and 5th missions have Expert Captains.) However, note that the 4th mission only requires 3 equipment slots for the counters. This means that you can risk sending 3 rare ships (95% success chance minimum; you can still get 100% if all 3 crews are either Human/Undead or Pandaren). The 5th mission requires at least 1 epic ship (as there are 4 equipment slots needed), and you'll get a minimum of 91% if you leave the 2 Expert Captains uncountered.

This also means that you may not need an epic battleship at any point in the legendary naval missions. However, you definitely need 2 epic destroyers and 1 epic submarine.

Here is a setup I made (according to the guide), so you spend less resources on ships.

1 Transport: true iron, type*
1 Destroyer: true iron, Felsmoke; 1 Destroyer: true iron, bilge pump
1 Submarine: blast furnace, Gyroscopic
1 Battleship: blast furnace, type*; 1 Battleship: felsmoke,type*
1 Carrier or The Awakener (Destroyer): true iron, trained land shark

On Type (or epic) slots, make sure that the ship gets a 'racial' (any of the 6 extra equipment that may come when a ship upgrades). Or when you build one that gets rare/epic quality.

Backup: 1 transport, 1 submarine, 1 carrier(on these extra 3 ships, from a total of 10 maximum, you may put other equipment to help on other missions). Note that those kind of ships aren't mandatory, but I chose those only to equilibrate stuff.

You may spend less resources getting a more approaching setup by rebuilding ships than staying with some that get with, for example, non-beneficial crews (Like 100% gold earned). Those crews you may try to get them on the extra ships, if possible.

To speed up things, I recommend building both the trading post and the Lumber Mill, and the Spirit Lodge/Mage Tower at least on your main character.

I unlocked my Shipyard lvl 3 today and can add to the Carrier cost requirements:

Resources: 50
Oil: 200
Construction time: 2 Hours

If you're going to use a Rush Order then add another 500 Resources to the total.

This post was written while I was tripping I think. Please ignore it :)

If you got the ship The Awakener, consider yourself lucky. Otherwise, you'll have to slog through 25 treasure missions at anywhere from 8 to 18 hours each to get the carrier you need for Boarding the Master's Call.

I used up a ton of resources, building and decommissioning destroyers, trying get the Awakener on one of my characters. Finally gave up. There's a bunch of different ones.

This was quite possibly the worst part of the questline, there is no engaging gameplay, with the other parts you go out and collect something defeat something, kill someone or something...it thrust you into the worls and lore. You feel like part of the story unfolding, the shipyars part is a far cry from that. You essentially just push a button and wait, push another and wait...it's a non interactive form of the game that requires way too long a time to gather prerequisites for.

If we needed proof that WoD has been the WORST expansion in the history of the game, this move confirms it. I honestly hope they learn from their mistake.
