Macros
Macros are simple, in-game tools which allow you to sequence spells together, create custom names and icons, cast different abilities depending on whether the target is friendly or hostile, define targeting conditions, and much, much more. While the amount of options can be complex, making them is easy, so in this section we'll go over how to set them up yourself.
To open the in-game Macro interface, type "/macro" or "/m".
Choose between the General and Character-specific macro tabs. Then click the "New" button on the macro window.
Choose a Name and an Icon so you can easily recognize your macro, then click "Okay."
Select your new macro and use the text editor below to tell it what to do. If copying ours below, you can simply copy/paste the text in.
Click the "Save" button, and drag your macro icon onto your bars, which will allow it to be used just like any other spell from your spellbook.
To close the window, click "Exit", or just press Escape.
For more information on creating macros, including full lists of conditionals, modifiers, and other command customizations you can use, check out our full Macros guide.
These can be created in the Macros window by simply copy and pasting the coded code into the creator. These will perform specific actions above the regular button presses that can alleviate some targeting issues or ability problems by automating part of the ability:
Elementium Pocket Anvil
between GCDs
This macro will allow
Elementium Pocket Anvil
to be cast in-between GCDs, after the main ability has gone off and without interrupting your normal rotation. Note that the bind must be pressed at least twice to use both abilities and is best just spammed until all actions fire.
Bloodthirst can be exchanged for any other GCD in the macro, including Raging Blow, Whirlwind, Slam, and so on, with the 0.7s reset allowing zero cooldown abilities such as Raging Blow or Whirlwind to be spammed twice in extremely high haste situations.
#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=0.7 Bloodthirst, Elementium Pocket Anvil
Ability Replacement
A new conditional has been added to allow macros to check for known talents. Although this isn't
particularly
necessary anymore due to the talent loadout system automatically replacing action bars for the saved set, it can still be helpful for players who frequently experiment with new talent setups without changing their saved loadouts entirely.
This example will cast either
Champion's Spear
or
Thunderous Roar
, depending on which is talented.
#showtooltip
/cast Champion's Spear; Thunderous Roar
Checking for passive modifying talents requires the use of the talent spell ID instead of it's name. This example will cast either Raging Blow or Slam, based on whether
Annihilator
is talented.
#showtooltip
/cast Slam; Raging Blow
Utility
Combine
Charge
and
Victory Rush
into one keybind. Victory Rush will be used when in melee range, and Charge when out.
#showtooltip
/cast Charge
/cast Victory Rush
Intervene
can also be worked in, although the syntax becomes trickier in order to show the correct ability at the correct time. Due to this, it may be beneficial to track their cooldowns separately and only use this for consolidating keybinds.
#showtooltip
/cast Charge
/cast Victory Rush
/cast Intervene
Cast
Execute
at your mouseover target, or your primary target if you do not currently have a different target highlighted.
#showtooltip Execute
/cast Execute
Cast
Pummel
, prioritizing any existing focus target over your current one.
#showtooltip Pummel
/cast Pummel
Automatically cast
Heroic Leap
wherever your cursor is aimed, skipping the targeting reticule. Also works with
Champion's Spear
and
Ravager
.
#showtooltip Heroic Leap
/cast Heroic Leap
Automatically cast spell=152277] and/or
Champion's Spear
at the player character's feet, skipping the targeting reticule.
#showtooltip Ravager
/cast Ravager
Cooldowns
Cast
Recklessness
, along with any racial abilities or trinkets for maximum burst.
#showtooltip Recklessness
/use Recklessness
/use Blood Fury
/use Berserking
/use Ancestral Call
/use 13
/use 14
Weak Aura Links
Remember that no Weakauras are ever mandatory to play with, but they can help condense a lot of information into a small, easy-to-track package. These are some sample sets that cover the Enhancement basics which are plug and play, or can be used for some inspiration when setting up your own set:
Season 4 Rotation
Many WeakAuras can be beneficial for keeping track of the rotation or its many de/buff timers, but one aura stands out as particularly important for maximizing the Season 4 set bonus; calculating current crit chance alongside Merciless Assault stacks and Recklessness to help use Bloodthirst at the optimal time to apply Cold Steel Hot Blood.
Bloodthirst Crit Tracker

Note: this is an updated version for the Dragonflight Season 4 set bonus. Previous versions from Season 2 will not calculate correctly and should be removed. Most older auras may also be converted by expanding the custom function in the
Display and Conditions
tabs, changing
aura_env.fourp * 10
to
aura_env.fourp * 12
instead.

Raid Warnings
There are a wide variety of raid helper weak auras, although at a minimum it's a good idea to have a boss encounter pack. Keep in mind that many of these warnings overlap with Deadly Boss Mods and BigWigs however, so it's a good idea to customize both in order to make sure you best emphasize the alerts you need, while turning off the ones you don't.
Many weak auras are now used to do things that traditional boss mods cannot, such as interacting with macros to circumvent private boss auras. The two most popular packs used by most raids are
Liquid
and
Northern Sky
, though players should consult with their raid leader to ensure everyone is using the same set.
Buff and Debuff tracking
These WeakAuras do not replace your base UI, they simply add reminders for important buffs, debuffs, and timers.

Addons
Addons are powerful tools that can be used to both customize your gameplay experience, ranging from graphical overlays, replacement action bars, and unit/raid frames, to performance enhancements such as rotation helping spell reminders, buff/debuff tracking, popup reminders, and boss warnings. Here are some of the highly recommended and commonly used Fury Warrior addons, which are certainly not required to play, but can go a long way toward increasing the information available to you in combat or simply make for a more pleasant viewing experience.
Unlike Macros, managing Addons is done outside of the game, but our How to Install and Maintain Addons Guide will take you step-by-step through the process.
Hekili
For players who are looking for a rotation helper,
Hekili
can provide a powerful tool using imported SimulationCraft profiles to generate a guideline for your next button presses in the priority sequence. This is useful for new and experienced players alike to give some assistance grasping the rotation and is well maintained.
BossMods
: BossMods are addons that show you a timer of upcoming boss abilities and make noises if you stand in fire. You can choose between
Deadly Boss Mods
and
BigWigs
. I would recommend BigWigs.
Damage meter
:
Skada
or Details are the perfect addons to let you check the damage you and your raid member do. These addons are also useful to track interrupts, dispels or deaths.
Download UI
: If you don't want to make your own UI you can also download UI packages. The most common recommendation is to use ElvUI. ElvUI is a replacement for the standard Blizzard UI that is very easy to configure and a lot of high-end raiders are using. Check wago.io for profiles, or check out streamers on Twitch.
