Impact of Dragonflight Season 4 Tier Set for Devastation Evokers

The tier bonus for Devastation Evoker from the Legacy of Obsidian Secrets set is fairly straightforward and can be thought of as a 18% damage buff to Devastation Evoker's essence spenders, Disintegrate and Pyre, in the form of a DoT (Damage over time) called Obsidian Shards. Your Fire Breath and Eternity Surge increase it to 54% for 5 of the 8 seconds. Dragonrage also buffs the DoT to 54% while it persists.

Legacy of Obsidian Secrets

2-Set - Evoker Devastation 10.1 Class Set 2pc - Disintegrate and Pyre pierce enemies with Obsidian Shards, dealing 18% of damage done as Volcanic damage over 8 seconds.
4-Set - Evoker Devastation 10.1 Class Set 4pc - Empower spells deal increased damage and cause the Obsidian Shards to blaze with power, dealing 200% more damage for 5 seconds. During Dragonrage, shards always blaze with power.

Tier Set Bonus Gameplay Changes for Devastation Evoker

Aside from increasing the value of Disintegrate and Pyre, Legacy of Obsidian Secrets gives us more reason to space Fire Breath and Eternity Surge out for Blazing Shards so the buff isn't munched. Obsidian Shards must be active to get value. In Dragonrage, the Blazing Shards effect is always active, which means that set gives us higher burst.

In AoE, the value of this set is incredible since every Pyre from Dragonrage is affected, along with the Pyres that follow during Dragonrage. This means we have significantly more AoE burst with this tier set.

Best Tier Set Pieces for Devastation Evoker

Our tier set bonus, Legacy of Obsidian Secrets, is comprised of the following items:

Additional item slots will be available from the Great Vault or once the Awakened Catalyst crafting system becomes available. Each end-raid boss will also drop a Awakened Tempostone that can be used by any class for any piece of tier. A universal tier token or "Omni-Token" (Awakened Mark of Mastery) can be traded for a piece of tier by completing Dragonflight Season 4 Master (earned by achieving Heroic: Awakened Shadows, Heroic: Awakened Storms, Heroic: Awakened Storms, Challenger II: Dragonflight Season 4, or Mythic: Awakened Flames). This grants one of these tokens at Heroic raid item level.

To unlock the tier set bonus, you'll need to equip 4 pieces of the tier set. Devastation Evokers prefer equipping tier pieces on Legs, Shoulder, Chest, and Gloves.

Best Gear to Spend Bullions for Devastation Evoker in Season 4

Antique Bronze Bullion can be spent at the vendors for Season 4 to purchase gear of your choosing. The Evoker legendary is upgradeable with Scale of Awakening. It is unclear if this item will also drop from raid, but Antique Bronze Bullion is a reliable way of getting it.

The best items to spend your Antique Bronze Bullion depend on what you already have, what you have access to without them, and rarity of the item. Due to the rarity of many of our best items, it is more efficient to use Antique Bronze Bullion to collect items you likely wouldn't get otherwise. The biggest upgrades are:

Scale of Awakening - This allows your legendary, Nasz'uro, the Unbound Legacy, to be upgraded. This is our best weapon by far. The is no real alterative for this.
] - Our best ring. It is a very rare drop from Vault of the Incarnates.
] - This is a very rare drop from Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible.
] - Our second best ring. It is a very rare drop from Vault of the Incarnates.

Beyond this, Antique Bronze Bullion should be spent on acquiring our best trinkets (below). If you do not have Nasz'uro, the Unbound Legacy, ] can be used as a much worse alternative.

Best Devastation Evoker Consumables for Dragonflight Season 4

Dragonflight has many different consumables that can be used by Devastation Evokers. Below we highlight the best ones to use in Season 4. In Dragonflight, some consumables are Toxic which means that they are more powerful but come with a downside.

Note: Dreamwalker's Healing Potion is best for solo content but doesn't heal enough with how much health we have now to be useful. Potion of Withering Dreams does damage you, but the damage over time is very long and the upfront healing is far better for keeping you alive in moments of need.

Devastation Evoker Consumables Guide

Overall the best phial for Devastation Evokers is Iced Phial of Corrupting Rage, but it comes with a damage taken downside. Phial of Tepid Versatility is a decent alternative without a downside and provides a damage taken decrease.

For Mythic+, Phial of Tepid Versatility is the best pick since it helps us live but Iced Phial of Corrupting Rage will provide more damage.
