Changes To Venthyr Restoration Druids in 9.2

Legendaries

Venthyr

Sinful Indulgence - now increases the duration of Ravenous Frenzy by 0.1 second with each application (was 0.2 seconds) and you will not be overcome by Frenzy for 3 seconds after it ends (was 5 seconds).

At early levels you're looking at somewhere between 8-10 stacks of the buff for 16-20% healing and 8-10% haste.

You are not considered idle while channeling or casting.

The idle timer does not start until the end of the GCD for instant cast spells.

Blinds, fears, and stuns will not cause you to be considered idle. Mind controls and other crowd control statuses will consider you to be idle.

NEW Venthyr Legendary Sinful Indulgence: Each time Ravenous Frenzy is applied its duration is increased by 0.1 seconds. Additionally, Ravenous Frenzy lingers and will not overcome you for 3s after it ends.

Thrill Seeker provides a hefty 20% haste buff for 10s every 80s. If this lines up with large incoming burst damage events then it's fantastic, but any misalignment will be a major waste. It's possible to increase the overall uptime by defeating enemies to provide additional stacks. Healing any ally that damages these enemies does count as you defeating an enemy, so no damage from you is required.

Exacting Preparation acts as a 20% multiplier on your enchants, food buffs, and flask effects. When fully buffed, this will be nice increase but anytime you're not this will feel like a loss. Don't expect to get much out of this trait while world questing or even low key level Mythic+.

Sinful Preservation adds an absorb to healthstones and health potions. Exceptional for preventing some of the follow up damage after healing up.

Fatal Flaw, the new 9.1 capstone trait essentially extends the Thrill Seeker by an additional 10s but with 20% critical strike chance or versatility instead of Haste. resulting in an uptime of 25%. Nice throughput bump but still no additional control over the proc.

Door of Shadows

Fancy Footwork gives you a sprint-like effect after using Door of Shadows perhaps best to get just a bit farther than the range of Door of Shadows allows.

Agent of Chaos disorients all mobs in the vicinity of the landing point of Door of Shadows. Excellent for engaging or quickly moving into melee in Mythic+.

Soothing Shade your abilities have a chance to proc a zone that when you stand within you get a sizeable mastery buff for 12s. At 1 rppm and some quick reflexes to get in the shade, you'll have about a 20% uptime. Not bad but does require you to stay within the shade zone trading mobility for throughput.

Wasteland Propriety causes your Ravenous Frenzy to also grant you 6% versatility for 30 seconds, along with 3% versatility for the rest of your party. If you're looking to further supercharge your Ravenous Frenzy then this can be great, but it roughly averages out to about 1% versatility over 3 minutes.

In most situations, our primary potion will be some type of mana potion. For instant potions like Spiritual Mana Potion, Refined Palate won't provide much benefit, but for others with a specific duration this could be strong: consider Potion of Spectral Intellect or Potion of Divine Awakening.

Token of Appreciation provides some nice absorption shields to your fellow healers. Not bad considering you can also pickup a potency conduit with this trait.

It's Always Tea Time adds a minor heal and damage reduction to Soothing Shade. Not game-breaking but a nice addition nonetheless.

The Party Favors trait allows you to talk Theotar to obtain a new consumable that that grants a flat 3% increase to Intellect, Haste, Versatility, or Critical Strike Chance. The consumable has had a lot of quality of life added throughout the 9.1 PTR with it now lasting 4hrs and persisting through death. It's one more consumable to manage but it's totally worth it.

Door of Shadows

Watch the Shoes! causes Door of Shadows to instantly break roots and snares.

Leisurely Gait grants an extra charge Door of Shadows at the cost of a 30s increased cooldown. Generally favorable as this allows back-to-back teleporting even at the cost of cooldown increase.

As an on-death effect, Service In Stone is generally frowned upon. You'll do more healing if you're alive than this trait will do with you dead. When it does proc it'll be a nice bonus but isn't something that should be relied on to contribute to your throughput. The damage reduction is nice, but again doesn't really help throughput.

If you can manage to stop jumping around with all the mobility you have a Restoration Druid, then Hold Your Ground can grant a significant 10% stamina and 4% extra healing done. Combine this with the potency conduit in this path and it's a solid ending for a soulbind that starts off really slow.

If Regenerative Stone Skin benefited from all overhealing you did in addition to the overhealing done to you, then we might have a fairly strong trait, but as it currently stands it's kind of a week survivability trait.

If Battlefield Presence provide a nice bonus as long as you can be in melee of enemies with the maximum benefit occurring at 3 enemies. This has potential in Mythic+, but will be more limited in other content.

Door of Shadows

Enduring Gloom grants a 15% max health shield when casting Door of Shadows. It allows you to more safely use your Door of Shadows which is a plus in my book.
