Updated Merithra Night Elf Visage Form in Dragonflight

Merithra, daughter of Ysera, has an updated Night Elf visage form in Dragonflight! Very similar to her previous models in
Val'sharah
, the new model now features leaves in her hair.
Also known as Merithra of the Dream, she has represented the Green Dragonflight since Ysera's passing during the events of Legion and unsurprisingly plays a role in the story of Dragonflight.
Throughout the Ohn'ahran Plains
, players learn more about the history of the Green Dragons and their relationship with the Maruuk Clan of Centaur - one time enemies turned friends. Merithra was instrumental in the forging of the ancient oath which bonded those two races in friendship.
Aru says: The Horn of Drusahl will be visible once we cross the bridge. You must see it, two-foot!
Okir says: Ah, yes. The horn represents the ancient pact formed by Teera and a green dragon named Merithra. their friendship ended a long enmity between dragons and Maruuk.
Okir says: Afterward, the centaur hunted the plains, and the dragons tended the gardens. But they agreed to help one another in times of need. The Horn of Drusahl was built as a physical manifestation of their oath.
Scout Tomul says: But then, the dragons left. And after ten thousand years, they return to these lands! I am interested to hear what the Khanam Matra says about that.
Ohn Seshteng says: We are guided by Ohn'ahra, Tomul. It was she who granted us these lands, who arbitrated with the dragons. She knows the way.
Ohn Seshteng says: Ohn'ahra, the Skymother, ancestor of all ohuna. She who led our founders, Maruuk and Teera, to the plains. My clanmates interpret her songs to advise our people.
Despite Merithra's apparent leadership role, however, there's a great deal of speculation that
Ysera may return in Dragonflight
, continuing a storyline set up towards the end of Shadowlands. Although there's still not a lot of information on exactly how this might manifest or how permanent it will be, datamined dialogue has indicated
the cost of her return to Azeroth
, and
new loading screens
featuring the most well known leaders of the five primary dragon flights support the implication that Ysera could take on a role within the story, potentially undermining Merithra's position.
Alexstraza, Kalecgos, Nozdormu, Wrathion, and Ysera are all featured in this Dragonflight art - leaving Merithra noticeably absent.
