Greetings all,
Realms came down a bit ago to facilitate a new build update. No ETA for today's push but things should be coming up soon(tm).

Additionally, today is the day you've all been waiting for. . . character copy will be enabled! Please note that under load, the character copy system could fail to create at times due to volume of requests. If things seem slow, take a deep breath, wait a bit and try again later.

Thanks for your patience everyone!

Blizzard

No specific details on timing at the moment, but we are planning to allow the challenge to be attempted at any time, regardless of the status of the Mage Tower, as we approach the end of Legion.

As said, nothing on timing to share at the moment, but we will share more details when we have them. For now, you can continue your attempts, get those strategies down, and work towards better gear to help you complete the Mage Tower!

Avez-vous un personnage réservé à la récole, si oui, à quel niveau et de quelle classe est-il ?longue discussion sur le subredditbasée sur le blog de The LazygoldmakerRecently Blizzard announced the addition of a new high end mount being added to the game in Battle for Azeroth! Rênes de brutosaure de caravane puissant will cost a whooping 5 million gold from a vendor. The mount comes with a repair vendor and an auctioneer(!).

Utility items in WoW
Blizzard have a history of adding various forms of utility items to the game. Some examples include the Goblin Glider Kits, A lot of engineering toys, Vial of the Sands and the chopper mounts. This is the first time they add something that is primarily aimed at the economic side of the game that is available to any class and profession.

A game changer
I believe this mount is a true game changer for any goblins. I think it has the potential to change the way we play the auction house game. I think it will shake up the optimal way to post auctions. With the ability to post auctions and go shopping anywhere you can mount up it is now optimal to do more of you auctioning on your main.

How does your current AH routines look?
I do all of my auction housing on my second account at the moment. this includes all my shopping and all posting. I use my main account for crafting and that's about it. Posting everything from one character on my second account is currently the most time effective way to post auctions. One issue is that I have a lot of bankers on different realms. This means I generally don't get to repost auctions more than once a day. This causes me to lose a lot of potential sales in high volume markets such as gems and enchants.

Enter the Brutosaur
With the Brutosaur I would just keep items like enchants and gems on my crafter. I could do quick repost scans of just the relevant groups in between boss pulls, dungeons or world quests. It would give me an advantage compared to people without the mount. I could also quickly jump on the mount and scan for items that are currently underpriced. This can be especially useful if you use deal notifications from TSM to look for specific items.

Which markets will this matter for
I don't think this matters too much for slow markets like transmog. These rely on having a large inventory and cleaning out your mailbox is the main bottle neck. For these markets the mount won't change anything.

For high volume markets however the effect is huge. You can now keep up with your posting schedules way more easily, especially if you only have one account! You can also do more frequent shopping scans (at least for targeted items). You can even potentially turn on sniper while you're autorunning (I assume you can talk to the auctioneer while riding).

Does this mean I should buy it?
This is the 5 million gold question. Ultimately you will have to answer it for yourself. Even though I think it will give a substantial advantage, I doubt the advantage is worth 5 million in the short run. I am personally working hard on getting to back up to 5 million on my main realm to buy it as I want it (I spend too much gold on tokens :/ )The unique effect is too cool and too much of a gold making boon to not buy it for me./u/imdead211 n'est cependant pas convaincuI was thinking on buying this at first. But after much thought, i decided to not do it. I have enough gold on each of my 8 servers to buy this mount that it really would not set me back much but when I asked myself "Does this really change much of my auctioning to be worth it?", the answer was a clear no.

The biggest issue with auctioning was sharding and we had the garrison AH to fill that. If this mount wants to fill that gap then it will have to be more cost-efficient than having to buy the garrison AH for multiple characters (which will be around 10+) and i highly doubt any goblin who has been having trouble with sharding does not have a garrison AH yet on their auctioners. Sure, it will pay off in time the more you need additional garrison AH but that's about it.
Other points like auctioning in between pulls (wait a bit before pulling guys, i'm almost done posting my auctions) and being able to do auctions on better areas are pretty minor imo, you will also have to fill the missing mailbox with all your mailbox tools which all have CD plus you're also limited to areas where you can mount which is usually not the case for most dungeons.

TLDR: The biggest impact of this mount is it offers you a free garrison AH on all your toons. Other minor perks come with it but i highly doubt it's worth the price atm. If you're really into auctioning in the middle of the desert, then yeah sure buy this mount.Achèterez-vous le brutosaure ? Avez-vous déjà les cinq millions de pièces d'or, même si vous ne l'achèterez pas ? Quoi d'autres voudriez-vous voir sur une monture pour des raisons de confort ?/u/ratjale89 a quelques doutes sur l'équipement fabriqué en lui-mêmeSo, am i missing something on the beta or are the consumables about the only thing worth crafting in BFA?

I mean all the non BoP crafted gear seems to be just an entery level blue gear you will be replacing as soon as you step into mythic dungeons, there seems to be no upgrade items (ala obliterum), inscription trinkets other then healing one seem real shitty, and not to mention the item level.

Also there seems to be no timegating, so for the most part you will just be selling your effort in farming expulsom/hydrocores.

So far, it looks quite bleak to me, and we are two months out from the expansion (not much room for changes)./u/xCAMPINGxCARLx parle du rôle de l'équipement fabriqué dans le jeu en généralBlizzard needs to figure out what the f*** they want to do with crafted gear. Throughout the life of the game, they've ranged from BiS to completely worthless. I think Legion came close to the ideal balance, barring a few exceptions (crafted relics on one end and Darkmoon trinkets on the other end).

I worry that the existence of WoW tokens incentivizes Blizzard to limit the passive goldmaking potential within the game. Mission tables require constant upkeep, and BoEs require actively raiding.

On the other hand, it's possible they don't want a repeat of Legion launch where crafting gear made you breeze past heroics and jump right into raids. Maybe they intend to stagger crafted gear upgrades so we don't bulldoze through progression from the start./u/mamercus-sargeras a cependant un peu d'espoirThe ilvl 300 stuff is really handy for when you ding 120 and drop off in power massively from 119. It takes a bunch of dungeon runs @ 120 to completely regear to the new tier of Azerite gear (~270-285 to 315) and to replace all your questing 280s and under with 300s/310s. You unlock heroics (325 rewards) at 305 ilvl and that takes a little while to get to with just WQ gear and dungeons.

They are changing a lot and many people have whined about how much weaker you get from 119->120 so I would not be surprised to see it change. WQ gear spawns at or below your current ilvl so replacing as much gear as you can when you hit 120 really speeds things up.

Basically you get 40-50% weaker when you hit 120 so finishing up quest lines becomes very tedious and slow unless you upgrade your gear fast. You can get heroic/mythic dungeon level gear from rep vendors at honored/revered/exalted but you are likely to hit 120 before you can get revered with more than one rep.

So, I'd say it'll take at least a month or four for the general player base to totally outgrow the 300s unless Blizzard changes it so the 119-120 jump is less severe. It is such a drop in power that it is probably more efficient to lock your level at 119, finish all the zones, gear up with the rep stuff + crafted gear, and then hit 120./u/whyUsayDat suggère un système similaire à celui de Guild WarsEvery class should have their respective profession of their armour. Example: All druids would be leatherworkers, all warriors blacksmiths. To expand on this in a later expansion, you would specialize your armour class into your favourite spec.

This way all crafted armour would be BoP and blizzard wouldn't have to reduce the quality of crafting to protect itself from bots. Then remove the profession limit and allow all non-armour professions to be trained with only 1 gathering profession active at a time and can only be changed while resting. This would also allow for professions to be account based. Players get the benefit with quality of life improvements and blizzard benefits with more player engagement (i.e. Subscription money)./u/Bihodiikaalgo le décritI don't like PvE. When I get to 120, I want some 120 gear. I'm certainly not going to be replacing it with mythic dungeon gear any time soon.

I just want some basic gear when I reach 120. I'm sure there are plenty like me who will happily pay for easy gear rather than sit through miserable PvE instances.

I agree that they need more powerful gear options at higher costs as well. But I just want to push back on the idea that people don't need crafted gear because they can just go do mythic dungeons. Most people are casual noobs like me

I do hate the general direction of character progression though, embodied most by the Legion Artifact weapons. If I want a solo RPG progression experience, I'll play a solo RPG. I play an MMO because I want to progress with others, not live in my own sealed off world of personal loot and solo quest rewards. Buy low, sell big. Snipe auctions with low bids. Buy in mass.

That's all find and dandy. You can make money with it fine, increasing your revenue with each tip you get along the way. But there is one thing just as important as those TSM tutorials and transmog lists.

It's time for a lesson in Public Relations (or PR). Because if you can't market yourself, you can't market your sales. You can make millions of gold in game, but eventually you are going to need to talk to other people. If you are a jerk to people or insult them, they are far less likely to want to buy your things, especially if you are using Trade Chat. Ever been barking an item and someone comes along, preaching the good news and telling everyone how much of a terrible person you are? Well, here is how to avoid that.

Public Relations 101 with Professor Tauna

Tip 1- Writing

The first skill that everyone requires is a knowing how to spell and use correct grammar. I'm not saying you need to go out and get an English Major, but you really need to know how to spell. Which ones of these looks better

"Come buy Tauna's gems! Cheap and available now on the AH"

"Cum bye my jems on the AH their very gud n help u wif raids"

Honestly, if someone spams trade and looks like they had a seizure on their keyboard, I'm more likely to ignore than even bother to translate.

Tip 2- Level your head

Don't get hotheaded and go on a massive rant in trade chat if someone says your prices are wrong. This just makes you appear like a bad person. Politely whisper them and talk to them. Keep calm, it's just a game. If they aren't listening to reason, then the best thing you can do is just tell them they are entitled to their opinion even if it is wrong.

The last thing you want to do is insult people. You will likely just get put on an ignore list then, and lose a potential future customer. The less people with you on ignore, the better.

Tip 3- Get exalted with Trade Chat

Take part in conversations and help people out whenever you can. It takes barely anytime to reply to a small question, and it could help you in the future. I like to think of Trade Chat as a reputation (in keeping with WoW). If you help people out, then the reputation rises. If you tell people to get lost or shut up, it lowers.

Tip 4- Be a good listener

Think of your customer as a 'stereotypical not-being-sexist' woman from a movie. They don't want a solution, they just want to be heard. Let them guide the conversation. Let them feel like they are in charge, because that's what customers want. They want to feel like they are holding the reigns on the horse, dashing towards a cheap sale. Ask them what they want to pay for the panther. Of course, don't sell for absurd prices but make them find the middle ground.

Tip 5- Friends with Benefits

Building up a network of friends is always useful in any sales industry and this is especially true in WoW. You need to be like Barney Stinson and have a guy for everything. A golden lotus guy, a ghost iron ore guy or a profession guy. The more bases you have covered with friends, the less you need to out-source to more expensive people.

Tip 6- Confidence

Be confident in your prices. Know they are the best. Know you will sell that item. Without confidence, you won't get far. You need to know that the customer is going to come to you. Everyone else's products are inferior compared to yours. Just don't cross into obnoxiousness where you start telling everyone you are the best.

Class dismissed!

These skills are all very important in any marketing industry, and WoW is no exception. Yes, you can make millions, but is it any fun if everyone hates you. You make more sales with being friendly and considerate than by being sour and insulting. My name is Josh and I'm the host of Countdown To Classic, a WoW: Classic podcast that has been releasing three times a week for the past three months.
