Gilded of the Undermine Discounted Upgrades Check Highest Item Level for Each Slot

With the
Turbo Boost now live
, unlocking discounted account-wide upgrades with the Gilded of the Undermine achievement is easier to earn than ever before, though players may be surprised to see some items not receiving a discount.
Although the achievement requires an average item level, discounts are checked individually for each gear slot.
Players who already have the achievement may have noticed that Gilded of the Undermine discount does
not
apply to the new upgrade tracks, but this is only half-true. In actuality, the achievement is based on the player's average item level, but the discount checks each slot individually - if your second highest ring is only 665 because you're still using a Heroic

, other rings on your main or alts will only be discounted up to 665. This is checked
per character
, so just having two characters each with one max crafted ring won't cut it.
In this case, Jastor's Diamond is not discounted, because it is the highest ring on the account, despite below the achievement's 675 average item level.
Once an item has surpassed that item level, even the new upgrade tracks are properly discounted.
While deceptively obvious, the fact that two rings and two trinkets are needed may be the reason you're not seeing a discount, so double check before you spend precious currency on full-price upgrades! That said,
Valorstones are now Warband transferrable
and Undermine Crests are now
completely uncapped
, so even if you do waste a few, you can always farm more!
