How will the Professions be Ranked?

Difficulty: How hard is it to start making gold in this profession? Do you need to level it up to max? Do you need alot of Knowledge Points or none?

Cost: How much gold do you need to start making profit? Do you need or ?

Diversity: How diverse is this profession? Will you be crafting only one type of item, or multiple?

Utility: Are there any additional perks outside of goldmaking that this profession provides?

Because Dracothyste is crafted through Transmutes, each Alchemist can only transmute one per day. This has caused a very limited stock on the Auction for these Items.

In addition to limited supply, these gems are used in many high demand crafting recipes, like the new Enchanted Crests. Enchanted Crests are used to upgrade the item level of a player's crafted gear, so any player who is wanting the best gear possible will need to buy some of these gems.

not to ruin the magic but enchanting has proven to be the most losing proff for making gold unless you hardly push to q3 weapon enchants which require a lot of knowledge and gold spent (mats are extremely expensive) before making some profit...
edit: I just read the enchanting section and it's totally inaccurate: glowing titan orbs are no less than 10k gold and you need 3 for weapon enchants... awakened order is 2-3k and you need 4... noway the mat cost is low XD

I've been a Herbalist/Miner since Vanilla. I don't have time to bother with spreadsheets and math. I really wish we were all forced to pick 1 gathering and 1 crafting profession because I'm sure there's a lot of people out there like me who would like to experiment with a crafting profession, but the steady reliable profits from selling materials on the auction house is too good to pass up.

I have an alt army of crafters/gatherers. The best money-making crafting professions are jewelcrafting (rings/necklaces) and blacksmith (weaponsmithing). The next one would be engineering. Every class wears the brez wrists from engineering. I've seen plate armor spike in demand but I think that's just because ret pally got buffed and everyone's gearing a ret paladin. For passive gathering I would suggest herbalism with a finesse tool and mining with perception tool.
