Which Tol Barad commendation reward would be my best upgrade?

I main tank, but put together a healing set as I think it looks fun to play.
Some obviously week slots, and 1 or 2 bits of mastery I need to forge into Haste.
But mostly thinking of the Tol Barad rewards, would replacing my JC trinkets be the best option?
Or taking the healing 1 hander?
I was just hoping for a weapon to drop, hence me not making the BS weapon...but a friend says I should as it's like really massively good.

Okay, let's break it down.
Trinkets:
Current:
Figurine - Jeweled Serpent
- 285 Intellect and 237.5 Average Spell Power
Current:
Figurine - Dream Owl
- 285 Intellect and 237.5 Average Spirit - Becomes higher when used with
Possible:
Mandala of Stirring Patterns
- 321 Spirit and 321 Average Mastery, being changed to Intellect in 4.0.6
Weapon:
Current:
Scepter of Power
Possible:
Shimmering Morningstar
+ 15 Intellect + 10 Spirit + 10 Critical Strike Rating + 197 Spell Power
The weapon seems like a better upgrade, but consider the BoE alternatives:
Weapon:
Maldo's Sword Cane
improbably to get
Weapon:
Elementium Hammer
which you already knew about
Trinket:
Darkmoon Card: Tsunami
extremely pricy
Valor Points:
Trinket:
Core of Ripeness
You still need a second trinket even after getting
Core of Ripeness
, so unless you get lucky with trinkets, I'd go for
Mandala of Stirring Patterns
since it will last longer.

The BS Mace is REALLY nice, but WAAAY Overpriced.
There are several easy to get alternatives:
Torturer's Mercy
Scepter of Power
Both are (slightly) better than the BS mace. And the Torturer's Mercy is off a first boss in BRC, so easily doable.
Blade of the Burning Sun
as well...which is actually the best itemized of the three

Wow thanks for taking the time to write up that post blademeld.
So u say I should take trinket then with my tokens?
In that case then I'll aim for 1 of the weapon drops TKitch posted.
Edit: But the sword has no spirit Umran, at the gaining of crit?

I didn't include drops.
Since it's Int > Spi > Haste > Mast/Crit,
Scepter of Power
is better than
Blade of the Burning Sun

Like I said, this is my opinion unless you get lucky with a drop, especially considering that there are two trinkets to upgrade whereas there is only one weapon slot.

Right you are, my apologies.

Is that the mastery or the spirit being changed? Because if it's the mastery I might have to do those dailies again.

It's not that bad really, you'll probably have the proc going from the get go anyways. Could definitely be better though, make it unoriginal and Int with Spi proc.
Eithery way, OP is prot/holy so ret trinket is out of the question unless you're going for mastery/mastery trinkets.

Just thought I'd come back and say thanks for the input guys.
Would the 2 mastery trinkets be an effective tanking combo? Seems odd.
Anyhoo on the subject of Mandala of Stirring Patterns, when it procs it's 2000ish intellect, would that not be a great time to use Divine Please? DP will now do 12% over 9 seconds. The added INT from Mandala of Stirring Patterns will mean a lot more mana back quickly, and the SP from the buff help negate the loss of healing DP causes.
Is that how it'd work in practice?

Mastery/Mastery, seems odd to me as well even if I suggested it myself.
You have 321 Mastery + 1605 Str/Agi use every 2 minutes, since 26% (with kings) str is parry, that would make
Impatience of Youth
worth 321 Mastery and ~70 parry rating.
Relatively low considering
Throngus's Finger
is 285 Parry rating and about 285 dodge rating as well. But you can use
Impatience of Youth
if you ever want to go prot/ret instead of prot/holy.
On the other hand
Unsolvable Riddle
is worth 321 Mastery and ~163 dodge rating making it competitive if you can't find anything else. But opposite to above, this is a horrible ret trinket.
Mirror of Broken Images
, this is useful for tanking encounters with heavy magic damage. Hands down.

Cheers for numbers (conversions) blademeld, you've been ever so helpful.
The Impatience of Youth might tempt me, as that bucket load of on demand str could allow for some schmexy trash dps numbers as well.
This is important to me, because when I top the damage meters I can tease my DPS friends. This is important.
Just on the off chance you've not dismissed me as an idiot, the JC
tanking trinket
that's pretty good right? Paired with Mirror of Broken Images at the moment. As both have benefits in magic and physical fights.

304.50762639 agility provides 1% dodge
That would make
Impatience of Youth
worth 321 Mastery and ~70 parry rating.
On the other hand
Unsolvable Riddle
is worth 321 Mastery and ~163 dodge rating.
