Just head to an oasis and kill snapjaws. The drop rate is 100%

Comentario de 17329

The above post by Lailoken is correct. The Snapjaws are both at The Stagnant Oasis (55,42) or if you don't have coords Southeast of Crossroads and The Lushwater Oasis (46,38) Southwest of Crossroads. The Drop Rate is 100% Levels of the Oasis Snapjaws are 15-16. The also do a debuff called Sling Dirt that decresses your chance to hit by 40% for 10 Seconds.

Altered Snapjaw Shell --> Kill Oasis Shapjaw's :)
at the stagnant oasis at 55,42

Comentario de Thottbot

The best you can get and anyway when you go into the stagnant oasis be aware about the fissure down there...it supports undemned breathing so you can stay down there killing them turtles for hours.

The Wailing Caverns (which will be the next part of this series) is north of Lushwater's northern pool (about 45,37).
Small mine at bottom of Lushwater.

Stay away from the mages.

Lvl 16 Rogue, VERY easy to do. Had a 100 Drop rate on them so you can get them pretty fast. Just watch out for wandering Centaurs. They like to randomly hit you while you're trying to kill the Turtles. Also, watch mobs, they hurt too.

Comentario de Allakhazam

I had a 100% droprate when I did it, so I don't think you'll have to kill a zillion Snapjaws to get the 8 shells.

Comentario de Allakhazam

The Stagnant Oasis has plenty of them. The Stagnant Oasis is located at 55,42 in the Barrens to the Southeast of the Crossroads.

100% drop rate on the shells (at least for me).

Comentario de Allakhazam

To help avoid the wanders around the oasis, go to the bottom and stay in the bubbles from the spring and you don't have to worry about air. Use a range weapon to pull the turtles to you and kill them there. They will agro on you, so watch for rare adds.

Comentario de Allakhazam

Easy, Just outside the wailing caverns had the most. 46,39. 1150xp. 100% drops also

Comentario de Allakhazam

just as Avanan said leads to Hamuul Runetotem

Yet another easy quest. Even though the quest info says you can go to either Lushwater and Stagnant Oases you're better off hitting the Stagnant one. Never a shortage of Snapjaws at that one. Just watch out for all the wandering mobs that will aggro.

My result:
You gain 1150 experience.
Your reputation with Thunder Bluff has increased.
Received 8 Silver.

This quest also leads to Humuul Runetotem, along with Mura Runetotem.
