Hate this place too, maybe cause I hate spiders, etc...

Commento di Nines

Silithus used to be a wasteland, many creatures didn't have loot tables assigned and the scarab wall used to split the zone in half (at this time silithus was basically a rectangle).

Then around patch 1.8 or so they added in Cenarion Hold, altered the terrain and made it a major quest hub. Annoying for those who used to farm their in peace on the few mobs which dropped anything ;P but always good to see new content.

Commento di catgrease

You can get to Silithus by taking a path in Un'Goro Crater. The path to Silithus starts in the northwest area of the Un'Goro Crater map @ 29,22.

Commento di 30572

can a horde guy pick up many quests at lvl 56? because i have been in silithus but i done all quests which i could do

Commento di Distruggiuova

the path from un'goro to silithus start exactly at the end of the river in northwest ungoro, between 2 pillars at 29,23

Commento di 69947

Where is the alliance flight master in this zone??

Commento di 64664

In this zone you can do a lot Cenarion Circle reputation quests. Some, from my understanding, also include pvp.
However, since the rewards became pretty useless you won't see too many people here anymore.
Wasteland it once was, wasteland it is yet again.

An interesting note is that some, if not all (I only checked Hyve Regal) mobs can actually be skinned.
This is interesting because there are no other bugs that I know of like this that can be skinned.

Commento di greystoker

When I peeked in, I had (top center of screen) Alliance 11/200 & Horde 7/200. What's that all about?

Commento di 64664

As for patch 2.3 all bugs in Silithus are non-elite now.
Hive'Regal, Hive'Zora and Hive'Ashi.
This makes it much easier to breeze through these quests, and to farm additional scales for paterns.

Commento di 103409

This is great for leatherworkers, since nearly all the loot you get from skinning can be used for those 275 - 350 recipes.

For all you Darkmoon Faire fanatics, the scorpions have about a 50% chance to drop Glowing Scorpid Blood. I've picked up 20 in the last hour - not a bad haul.

Commento di 156586

can someone plz give me better tips on getting there from un'goro crater cause im in these mountains and im lost

Commento di 80089

Anyone familiar with the Dune Universe will see where they got their inspiration from.
Sand Worms, Jom Gabbar trinket from Ahn'Qiraj and the numerous dukes running around are only a few examples.

Commento di 84159

Other than a few decent grinding quests this zone is aweful and in my honest opinion worth never visiting while questing.

It's full of ANNOYING monsters which are close together. Theres hardly a square ft. in this zone without a monster in it.

Most of them will stack annoying poisons and root you in one way or another making traveling around this zone which only has 1 path which monsters walk near a pain - most of your quest objectives will lead you into packed areas.

Jeez.

Commento di 146819

If you plan on doing a lot of grinding/farming/questing here, it would be a good idea to set your hearthstone to Cenarion Hold to save some time.

Make sure you have the flight points needed to get to Thunder Bluff if you're Horde (Mages have a little less of a hassle, but they still have to worry about getting stuck with your hearthstone on cooldown). That way, you can make a quick trip up to throw something in the bank or the AH.

Alliance players might have a harder time, since the only capital city they can get to with flight points alone is Darnassus.

Commento di 276928

This Zone is much more beautiful than Tanaris.
The quests here are good before going to Outland.

Commento di Snickler

The quest in this zone add up to about 1/6 or 1/7 of the Loremaster of Kalamidor achievment

I made a stop here during lvling my warrior and pally for this alone

Great little way to get your cooking up to 300, without burning though all those mats that are green at 285. Personally I only had to make a few and I was good to 300

Commento di 33042

You can pick up the quest Taking Back Silithus from Orgrimmar before heading to Silithus if you are Horde.

Commento di 149373

New Spirit Healer / Graveyard at 36.3 , 46.4

Commento di 338873

It took me a while to find the entrance to Silithus. Actually found it on accident! The trail from Un Goro is found at 29.4, 22.4. Follow trail between rock spires and it leads you in.

Commento di 59431

If you plan on questing here prepare to be rather lonely considering this is a pretty low populated area. But its not too bad if you want to hit 60 before hitting up BC content.

Commento di 309765

It says there's fish here, but I don't see any water on the map. Where is it?

Commento di mixter

extremely low populated place since wotlk
i went to lvl my mining for hours, and hours to 300.....and NEVER saw another character ally or horde

Commento di 346361

If you go south of AQ you can be on a little tauren island, its only gotten there by swimming from tanaris or feralas. Nobody is there but its a really cool place to go if you wana kill time. (There is a picture)

Commento di 417037

Generally regarded as the worst zone, second to Azshara.
Quotes:
Silithus: Ewww.
Azshara: It's like being disemboweled by a rusty spoon.

Commento di 406510

Its a shame folk feel that way about Azshara, i think its underated, i like going their to get gear for my toons as it has some really good drops, possibly thats why it can be so good for drops due to very little folk giving it any intrest...non the less their loss has been definately my gain :)

Commento di Thottbot

How the heck do you get here?

Commento di Thottbot

Btw, the elementals give you hydraxian waterlord faction.

Commento di Thottbot

what lvl is requiered to be there ? i mean what lvl is good to quest there?

Commento di Thottbot

Yup, saw the 62 elite flying overhead near the southern guard tower, but he flew too fast for me to get a decent screenshot of him. At first I thought I was just seeing things, but if you wait a while (about 5-10 minutes) you will see him fly overhead behind the mountains.

Commento di Thottbot

MC requires Fire Resistance Gear
BWL requires Shadow Resistance
AQ probably requires Nature Resistance Gear. HF farming 8^D

Commento di Thottbot

The gates lead to Ahn'Quraj, a new 40-man and 20 man instance coming in 1.9. Once implemented and in order to open it, both Alliance and Horde have complete a huge world event..Im guessing to the caliber of Onyxia or such. Once open, you can head up to the two dungeons that are there. Dont expect to climb up there either...they nerfed big time any mountain climbimg you might try in 1.9 as well.

1. The Templars:
In Silithus kill Twilight Cultist people in their camps and collect a full set of Twilight Trappings ( https://www.wowhead.com/forever/item=52000 ), which consists of Mantle, Cowl and Robe! When you have a full set, go to one of the two Lesser Wind Stones around the Twilight Cultist camps. Put the Twilight set on and rightclick the Lesser Wind Stone.
Now you can spawn a random one of the four Templars (Azure Templar, Crimson Templar, Earthen Templar, Hoary Templar) and kill him. (He is soloable, but maybe you'll need to get one friend to kill him.
When you have killed the Templar, loot him and you will get an Abyssal Crest and maybe some green BoE item and if you're really lucky a blue BoP. Search for the name of each Templar on Thottbot or Allakhazam to find out which one drops which BoP item. Bring the Abyssal Crest to Bor Wildmane in Cenarion Hold and you will get a Bag of Spoils ( Bag of Spoils content: https://www.wowhead.com/forever/item=52026 ) and 90 Silver. This quest is not repeatable.

2. The Dukes:
For the next steps you will need at least a Friendly reputation with the Cenarion Circle.
Get the Aurel Goldleaf quest from Huum Wildmane and go talk to Aurel Goldleaf. For the following quest you will need another 3 Abyssal Crests from Templars and 1 Large Brilliant Shard. Collect those 4 items and give them to Aurel Goldleaf. Now you will receive a Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station. You will need it and another set of Twilight Trappings to spawn one of the Dukes (Duke of Cynders, Duke of Fathoms, Duke of Shards, Duke of Zephyrs) at a Wind Stone (a normal one, not lesser, not greater). For these bosses you will need a good group of 5-7 people. The Dukes drop an Abyssal Signet, which you can give to Bor Wildmane to get 1.85 Gold and a Sack of Spoils ( https://www.wowhead.com/forever/item=52153 for content ). The Dukes also drop other nice stuff such as blue BoE pants and other blue items.

--Everything below this line is unconfirmed, since i haven't got that far yet--

3. The Bosses:
For the next steps you will need at least an Honored or Revered reputation with the Cenarion Circle.
Get the quest Goldleaf's Discovery from Huum Wildmane and go talk to Aurel Goldleaf. Then you will need another 3 Abyssal Signets from Dukes and 5 Large Brilliant Shards. Collect those items and give them to Aurel Goldleaf. Now you will receive a Twilight Cultist Ring of Lordship. You will need it plus a Twilight Trappings set plus a Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station to spawn one of the big bosses (Baron Kazum, High Marshal Whirlaxis, Lord Skwol, Prince Skaldrenox) at a Greater Wind Stone. For the big bosses you will need a group of 25-40 people. The bosses drop an Abyssal Scepter and epic stuff. Again, give the Abyssal Scepter to Bor or Humm Wildmane to get a Chest of Spoils (content: https://www.wowhead.com/forever/item=52296 ) and 2.8 Gold.

How to get reputation with Cenarion Hold:
To get reputation farm Twilight Cultist guys and Templars and finish repeatable quests such as https://www.wowhead.com/forever/quest=8318/secret-communication for which you will need Encrypted Twilight Texts which drop from Twilight Cultist mobs.

Its in Un Goro NW corner kinda easy to miss

Commento di Thottbot

The entrance to Silithus lies at 28,19 in Un'goro

Commento di Thottbot

Many people have asked how I have ground up my reputation with the Cenarion Circle so quickly.

My rep gains and notes may be off slightly. I had to try and recall much of it, and find stuff on the net. Please check your rep gains after each, to make sure you still get rep for dukes at honored for example (because you dont at revered)

Neutral to Friendly (3000 rep)

I would suggest just nose to the grindstone killing Twilight Cultists and gathering sets of clothes and Encrypted Text. Dont turn them in yet. Mail them to an alt and back to yourself if needed. (When I mail them back, I mail a cowl, robe, and mantle before mailing more of another type. Just to keep them together so I can grab them quicker from the bank)

Get in any group you can that is killing cultists, templars, or dukes. A little more rep, goes faster in a group, and is more fun than solo grinding.

Killing Cultists, flamereaver, or keeper 1 rep
Killing trash mobs in AQ20 3 rep
Killing a summoned Templar 5 rep
Killing a summoned Duke 10 Rep
Killing a boss in AQ20 133 rep+

Druids can gain faction points by completing theie quests to get Bear form, Cure poison, and Aquatic form. There is also one in Maraudon from Desolace gives faction points also. The quest for DM East from Moonglade can be returned for reputation, too.

Friendly to Honored (6000 rep)

Silithus quests and more grind killing of Cultists.
Killing Cultists, flamereaver, and keeper still gives 1 rep
Killing trash mobs in AQ20 3 rep
Killing a summoned Templar 5 rep

Killing a boss in AQ20 133 rep+

Revered to Exalted (21000 rep)

Abyssal Signets Quest, one signet 150 rep first
Abyssal Signets Quest (repeated), 3 signets 100 rep
Keep doing Encrypted Twilight text quest, 10 pages 100 rep

Dont waste crests doing abyssal crests quest. Use them to summon dukes.

By the end A LOT of it is Encrypted Twilight Texts. Pages are now going for about 1g per page (Dont pay morework together to keep costs down), so 10g per 100 rep. That gets damn spendy, but worth it to me. Here is how I fund it;

It costs about 17g per Duke to summon one if you bought the mats yourself. If you saved and gathered mats from all you have done up until Honored you should have a bunch to get started for free.

The big money maker is the Abyssal (leather/cloth/etc) leggings of (striking/sorcery). I am getting about 100-140g for each set, and they sell well. I turn right around and buy Encrypted Texts with this money. About each 2nd or 3rd Duke drops a set. That way one pair of leggings turned into text pages works out to about 1000-1500 rep.

The signets have also been selling quite well from killing dukes. About 30g each on my server.

I keep an alt parked in UC. I send legs to him, he auctions, buys texts, and mails them back to cut down travel time. I also use him for some mats for Logistics quests. I had a hard time finding Heavy Armor Kits on AH, so I ground his Leatherworking up to 150 and make my own. If you need any I keep him parked there for that, and will make them at cost for any conventus member.

Commento di Thottbot

OK I read all the comments above and I think we need to tell people how to get there.
I do not know about the water approaches. But I can tell you that the only land path that I am aware of or could find after hours of diligent searching was from Un'Goro Crater. Go to the extreme North West of Un'Goro. There is a finger like lake pointing to the northwest. You will see two huge pillers of stone which mark the path.
Once you get there find the flight path because it is a pita to ride from Gadget.

Commento di Thottbot

I found the FP for Ally's at 50,34 you have to go to the top of the hill in the Cenarion Hold. Just thought that might help some people. Also you can find the road in to Sith by going to Un Goro Crater and following the path at 29,24 as stated above.

Commento di Thottbot

Ok for those of you trying to read this tread for a way in to Silithus here you go...

The only way to get there is through Un'Goro Crater. If you go from the neutral FP u will need to go west towards the top of the river at the northern part of the map. Eventually u will see a small dirt path going north. Take that path all the way around and that will get you in there.

For those that have the Cosmos add its coordinates: 29, 22.

Hope this helps everyone enjoy! :)

Commento di Thottbot

u can get to silithus from un'goro crater the loc is Un'Goro Crater (28, 21)

Commento di Thottbot

The Entrace is from Ungoro Crater North West corner, at (cords) 29,22 There are 2 big pillars with a path that goes up the mountain.
Hope this helps.

Commento di Thottbot

It's Silithyst, and it's in contest between the Horde and Alliance. You know how when you enter the area there's a little counter at the top of your screen? That's how much Silithyst has been collected by each faction.

If you're Alliance, you can turn it in at the Alli camp NE of Hive Zora, it shows up as a blue shield when you discover it.

Commento di Thottbot

Well, I spent an hour or more levitating around the coast of Silithus from Feralas. There were a few promising breaks in the mountains, but I only ever got close enough to switch my map to Silithus.

At the very southwest nub of Silithus on the coast, there is a cute little horde hut with no mobs. There is a windmill, hut with two fire pits, and a fenced yard.

If you go a little further east you run into a medium-sized cave with a glowing green aura inside. Again, no mobs.

Continuing, I ran into Land's End Beach in Tanaris. It is directly west of Uldum on the map. There are no mobs, but discovering it will give XP.

Commento di Thottbot

just a tip >> if you HATE getting poisoned, and don't have anti venom, find somewhere else to quest. I have been spending more time waiting for poisons to fade away than actual questing, no joke either:

- 10 seconds to kill the creature
- 25 to 45 seconds of waiting for the poison to wear off.

do the math.

It's also hilarious how these things are lower level than me, but still poison me 95% of the time.

Commento di Allakhazam

Where is this place? North South East West?

and i don't think there is a flightpath here anymore.

Commento di Allakhazam

According to the 1.8 patch notes

The flight paths in Silithus have been moved from Valor's Rest to the new Cenarion Hold. Characters that previously discovered the Valor's Rest flight path will be treated as having discovered the Cenarion Hold flight path.

Commento di Allakhazam

Valor's Rest is the camp at the entrace of Silithus from Un'Goro Crater, in the Northeast corner.

Commento di Allakhazam

Flight path for Horde and Alliance, to and from the Crater and Tanaris. This saves the long ride through the desert to get to this high level quest rich zone.

Commento di Allakhazam

this is an area for a quest called: "The Calling!" its a chain raid quest u need 40 mans for this(if u dont want to get whooped!).

First is the 3 Giant lvl 62 Elite BUGS
Last but not least the main boss for the quest - Emissary Roman Kh'an.

Commento di Allakhazam

For that leader dudes quest to find his cousin or some !@#$, anyway she is in the south east 'cave' quite deep in follow the passage till you get to the room that looks like an X and she is in the north west point of the x. btw, lots of lvl 60 elite mobs. i got in there and feigned death, then used my pet and eyes of the beast to scope her out. took a while
yeah she has turned 'mad' and she is hostile in a big room full of elite mobs, i suggest taking a 5 man nice equipped party down here. i can solo the mobs 1 by one but if i get 2 on my ass feign or die :)
hope this was semi useful

Commento di Allakhazam

If u go to Staghelm Point u will c a tower and if u clim up to that tower u will c a Nightelf lady and more importantly if u look into the sky u will c a BRONE DRAGON!
