yes, actually.. i just killed him. quite easy too, i'm a 14 shaman and had no trouble taking him out. got a little under half health.

if you happen to loot the cape, accept its quest and go speak to Skorn Whitecloud by the inn enterance in bloodhoof village to complete it.

Kommentar von Thottbot

Untameable :/

Kommentar von Thottbot

Are there any wolves that LOOK like him? Pure white, big bottom teeth, that ARE tameable?

Kommentar von Thottbot

I fought him today, same spot as the named kodo (cha?) and the named cat (the rake) Just NE of the rock outside of thunder bluff.

Kommentar von Thottbot

There is a white/blueish wolf that is tameable in Dun Morogh. His name is Timber, he is the same style as a worg, except he is a blueish white. Like Lupos.

https://www.wowhead.com/forever/npc=656960

He is hard to tame though, he has two other wolves by his side.

Kommentar von Thottbot

I saw him yesterday, TWICE! Once south of Thunder Bluff and again north of Thunder Bluff.

Kommentar von Thottbot

He spawned just south of TB. Kited and killed him on my level 9 druid using moonfire and entangling roots. Dropped the cape and money.

Kommentar von Thottbot

timber is tameable and starts with Growl and Bite
i <3 timber

stupid ghost howl
i just abandoned The Rake to try and tame him
-.-

Kommentar von Thottbot

I saw him and killed him at level 10 with a Tauren Warrior on Shadow Council; then I saw him twice more. I didn't actually -mean- to fight him, but he got in range of me while I was fighting a Praire Stalker. I got some lucky hits and barely escaped with my life and his cloak.

Kommentar von Thottbot

Spent the last hour searching for him around TB, alot of circuits right around. Killed the Rake twice and Arra'Chea (4times..), but no sign of Ghost Howl...
I've seen him once before just west of red rocks, but was too low back then to try killing him =(

Kommentar von Thottbot

Ghost Howl was a really easy kill for my lvl 11 Druid, I killed The rake right after that also, talk about easy ;P

Kommentar von Thottbot

I just saw Ghost Howl today. I didn't think to tame him, so I'm kind of relieved that he's untameable. But he was fairly easy to kill and me and my friend both got a cloak from him and got the quest.

Kommentar von Thottbot

He has roughly the same HP of as normal level 12 wolf.

Ghost Howl - Level 11 Rare
247 HP, 11 DPS

Dropped a Demon Scarred Cloak and a White Leather Bag

I saw him at 53, 16, right near Arra'chea.
He did not spawn with other wolves.

Seen in Patch 2.0.8

Kommentar von Thottbot

ive fought him twice in the past 2 days would have tamed him if my hunter was lvl 12.:( but now he is so if i c him again he's mine!:)

Kommentar von Thottbot

with my hunter i have yet to see him .. but with my shaman ive found him 4 times from just before the faire all the way north of TB and back to the rake .

Kommentar von Thottbot

Ghost Howl wanders, so if you saw him in more than one place, they are probably all correct coordinates.

He's a very pure white color, not the dusky gray-white of other wolves. His "mane" is almost lavender in color, unfortunately he is NOT TAMABLE as a pet.

One set of coords: 39.10

He does drop "Demon Scarred Cloak" quest, which is kinda cool.

he is NOT tameable....waited around for him only to use beastlore and find that i cant have him

Kommentar von Allakhazam

I was thinking about leaving the quest reward when I ran into Arra'chea (Cairne gives a quest to hunt the kodo) I was about to defeat Arra'chea (I'm a hunter let's say that) when Ghost Howl attacked me from behind.I killed the kodo then the wolf but I was thinking this can't be.I'm not this lucky.Still you should look around Arra'chea's spawnplace.

Kommentar von Allakhazam

Anyone know if he's on a timer? Trying to do this quest with my Tauren hunter and I talked to the guy to spawn him, and someone killed him right before I got there

Kommentar von Allakhazam

I was hunting in Felwood and found Ghost Howl on track there way up on the mountainside. He was lvl 49 I believe, not sure if it was a bug or something, but he dropped nothing and was not skinnable.

**Edit ** I am on drugs, lol, that was Death Howl in Felwood.

I have met Ghost howl two times. Both times i slayed him. First time was about lvl 12 and i was out for a quest with some harpys. And then, in the middle of the harpy place, he walked. I killed him and got Demon Scarred Cloak (A quest item). Even without reading the quest, i knew who i should be taking it to. One in Bloodhoof village, are telling a story about Ghost Howl, and he was the subject for the quest.

Second time i just saw him on the east of Thunder Bluff (First time was west) and i was just out to find Arra'chea and get my reputation with thunder bluff up.

... Ran around Mulgore looking for Kodos and Kodo Leather and suddenly stumbled upon The Rake... Being a hunter I immediately abandoned my Boar from Durotar and tamed him. A few minutes later Ghost Howl crosses my path. At lvl 14 I don't hav beast lore yet so I simply assume he is tameble and abandon The Rake. Big mistake... At least a few minutes later.. again... Mazzranache appeared on my minimap and a bit later on my side, well fed and content. Still...

Kommentar von Allakhazam

Is this guy tameable?
If so, what stats does he have?

Thanks.

Kommentar von Allakhazam

ya i was walking and a guild said i just tamed a ghost howl and i told him i just killed one :D it was funa nd he droped a a quest

Kommentar von Allakhazam

Spend lot of time to find him and finnaly meet him at arra'thor (or how that kodo was named)spawning point

Kommentar von Allakhazam

It's unfair. It comes alltimes i'm low in health and kill me but then when i come to seek my body it's gone :(

Kommentar von Allakhazam

If you are looking for Ghost Howl, just take a trip around Thunder Bluff, and keep your eyes open, then we will for sure find him.

Kommentar von Allakhazam

its not tameable couz its a legend
if u dont quest and read it carefully u ll see it fighted aganist burning legion
u cant tame a beast like that...

Kommentar von Allakhazam

i tried and it said i could not tame this monster.

Kommentar von Allakhazam

I travelled all the way to Mulgore just to get this guy, and unfortunately had not read this forum first. I was so sad when I realized he was unable to be tamed. I don't really care for the appearance of the other wolves but this one is really magnificent. What a shame.

Anyways, on my way to look around for him, lo and behold The Rake himself had snuck up behind me and started attacking me. Had I known what it was, I would have tried to tame HIM, but out of habit I just turned around and started attacking. After the Ghost Howl killed me once I realized I couldn't tame it, Mazzranache appeared, but I was already dead! Three rares in a row. :) Mulgore is a good area for that!

Kommentar von Allakhazam

I was out looking for The Rake to tame, and there was ghost wolf. Was funny at first, two rare spawns. Till I founf out I can only tame one . . .

Kommentar von Allakhazam

I ran about for an hour looking for this, to tame him as my pet, then when I found out we hasnt tameable, i got VERY angry, and killed him, i didnt even bother to loot him, on my way running back to barrens, i came across The Rake, so i quickl;y tamed him, Thanks The Rake! Your brilliant (Note: Dont waste your time on this piece of trash wolf)

Kommentar von Allakhazam

Yep and I think he is just basic wolf stats.

Kommentar von Allakhazam

Just saw him as my lvl 6 alt Shaman XD He was level 12 and after much effort I killed him

Kommentar von Allakhazam

Asking Skorn Whitecloud in Bloodhoof Village to tell you a story spawns Ghost Howl in one of four locations, see Geistheuler run through those locations spamming a /target Ghost macro till you come across him.

Kommentar von Allakhazam

dam and i wanted to tame him too

Kommentar von Allakhazam

This incredibly sweet-looking worg can't be tamed. It's the only worg with this skin (except for Timber in Dun Morogh and Lupos in Duskwood that both are kinda hard to get as horde) until the lvl 49 rare mob Death Howl and Blizzard had to make him untameable :/.

Kommentar von Allakhazam

Ghost Howl is a wolf, and also drops CArving Knife.

Kommentar von Vulkanian

Spawns all around Thunder Bluff.

Hits very hard on leather, autoing for 30+.

Hard to solo if you're not lvl10+ and are not a class with heals.

I did it as a lvl9 Hunter by basically getting lucky with Concussive Shot.

Kommentar von nyonks

but how is it tameable! lvl 18 tauren hunter, i already finished the quest for it cuz i thought maybe thats why i cant tame it but then i waited forever again for it to spawn again and it still is telling me creature is untameable. idk if tossing the item away was bad or not but i couldnt use it again anyways.

Kommentar von Yagi

Look to spawn about 48,42. Unfortunately UNTAMABLE at this time.
