Recommended Fire Mage Macros
Macros are simple in-game tools that allow you to sequence spells together, create custom names and icons, cast different abilities depending on whether the target is friendly or hostile, define targeting conditions, and much more.

Making Macros for your Trinkets and Cooldowns
Uses the trinket in the top slot and casts
Combustion
. Keep in mind that this macro must be mashed, since Combustion can be cast while casting but your trinkets and racial cannot.

Notes:
This macro uses your top Trinket. Equipment slots can be used with numbers, 13 is your top trinket slot, 14 is your bottom trinket slot, 16 is your weapon slot, 6 is your belt, and 9 is your bracers, these are the common slots for item activation.
If you wanted to add in potions, it is best to use the item ID for the correct rank. For example:

Off GCD racials can also be added. Place them above Combustion. For example:

Focus and Mouseover Macros
Fire has a number of spells you may want to target using the /Focus targetting option. You can replace the

Focus Assignment

This macro will assign your target as your focus, if you hold shift, your focus is dead or friendly, it will clear your focus, allowing you to reassign a new one.

This macro also assigns a focus, but with a twist. It will also check to see if the target has a raid marker. If one isn't present, it assign a raid marker to help your allies know which target you focused. The default is Triangle (4), but this number can be changed for different marks.

, this is useful when you accidentally use it at low health, or when your healer tops you off and Alter Time would leave you lower health than you started with:

on your mouseover target, if no mouseover is available it will cast on you instead. Second press will cancel the Slow Fall effect, you can use this to rapidly fall through an area while reducing your fall damage to 0:
