Right now this is suspected to be related to the secret summoning process of one of the new spirit bests. (Probably Gon the spirit raptor- maybe the lost spectral gryphon.) So if anyone finds the location of this- please post!

Comentario de Eluvia

The location of this was found today, and it summons a raptor pet for BM hunters. You can find it on the pile of bones, in the Warlock trainer hut in Orgrimmar. The raptor pet you can tame is called: Gon Gon#comments:id=2485937

Comentario de MrVolare

Gon could be two references-

The first is Gonk, the ancient Zandalari hunting loa
The second, more tenuous reference, is to the the manga Gon by Masashi Tanaka, about a small dinosaur.

Comentario de rrrof711

Gon is also the name of a character in Tekken that is a mini fighting raptor.

Comentario de DeathCobro

Respawn of 12-14 hours for the egg shells confirmed, and only the person who clicked the shells may tame, but anyone can still kill him (don't be that guy). Spawns at level 110, and you must be level 110 to tame.

Comentario de Amyliz

Just a heads up I waited for over 3 hours for the Eggshell to spawn...it finally did! I was so excited! I trapped the nearby horde guard (I am alliance) and clicked the eggshell! And NOTHING. No pet :( I am so upset right now. I really hope that Blizz figures whatever is going on and fixes it. I have submitted bug reports.

When the servers went down last nite for no reason, I decided to wait the hours and hours it took for them to come back up for the offchance that the Eggshell was up when the servers came up. When they came up at 1:30am I was the first online and the Eggshell was there, I even flew to Stormwind and got there just as an alliance hunter was taming the Lost Spectral Gryphon.

TLDR: It seems both spectral items come up with the server restarts. Probably the best time to tame them :)

Macro to help

/run local f,x = CreateFrame("frame",nil, UIParent);f:SetScript("OnUpdate", function() if GameTooltipTextLeft1:GetText() == "Spectral Eggshell" then PlaySoundKitID(11466, "master", true); if not x then Screenshot(); x=true; end end end)

it will play the sound file "You are not prepared" when you mouseover the egg.

Comentario de Shelassa

Just tamed Gon a few minutes ago on Magtheridon - EU.
When I came over to the location with (active) Cáscara de huevo espectral, there already was a Hunter of level 106, but he could not see and therefore interact with it.
Gon himself showed to him as level 106 when I spawned the Spirit Beast, but he could not start the tame regardless.

Comentario de raven21ca

I saw it tamed at 8:20 am my time (10:30 server)(My character is on Alleria server). Logged back in at 2:05 pm and tamed it with no problems! I am alliance and I had a guard on me the whole tame and managed to do it. I clicked on egg behind hut fence by the wall, I had no aggro there until I clicked on egg. If you do that I highly recommend waiting till dino comes up to you to tame, I had both dino and guard attacking me! I was able to tame him again.

I saw this stunning and unusual pet with another hunter, checked internet and went to see if Spectral Eggshell is available.
Coordinates are 36:69 in Valley of Spirits. Please don't hate me, waited 15 min and wow... it spawned a little whitish spot/egg and nothing "Spectral" about it. Barthilas 30 April 23:38 AEST
Good luck.

Comentario de Kirathis

Tamed just now at 6:41 server time on EU-Nordrassil on my draenei hunter. Decided to check up on both spirit beasts and egg happened to be up as I dipped down.
The raptor is absolutely massive compared to your character.

Comentario de Natsuke

Today at 00.26 realm time on Dragonblight the Spectral egg spawned and when i got it open i wanted to tame it but then along came a tauren hunter who decided to kill it i've never been so dissapointed in other BM hunters who have no respect for another hunter taming
i mean even if we are opposite faction why have no respect ....

Comentario de ayligerwolf

submittd a photo of the eggshell that you will be clicking on to summon the pet.

You can also see it when your a ghost (dead) so if your camping it just fall to your death over the hut and camp as a ghost so you don't have to constantly fight people off and you can go afk. Seems the spawn timer is now pretty short.

Comentario de KronosIII

Have not logged in for months and heard about the raptor put in game. Within a day I got the raptor. All I did was log in to check every hour or so and got it after only doing this for 4 hours. So I login for 30 seconds check and then log off. So in total I guess it took me less than 2 minutes of my time to get it. Meanwhile I did other things around the house, went to the store, walked the dog, and so on.

I'm on a high pop server at 12 in the afternoon on a Sunday. Game lost so many active players that getting stuff like this is really easy. Server was Bleeding Hollow.

Comentario de Ankasunamore

I just tamed this on Barthilas at 10pm server time. I had been camping it for since approx. 5pm.

Comentario de PunterHunter

the egg spawned about 13 hours(something around 12hr and 43m) after my server came back up from maintenance. I was tabbed out watching youtube for most of with my mouse over the taskbar to bring up Window's preview, tabbing in every 15 to 30 mins to look around for any other hunters that had shown up. if you have bots/auto clickers camping it you can sit like this to stop them, but please confirm it is an auto clicker bot before sitting down, don't be a !@#$.

Comentario de slashtwo

Alliance equivalent is Pluma espectral for Grifo espectral perdido

Comentario de lwbulling

If you don't feel like waiting, I realm hopped and found the egg.

Comentario de HubertJones

Does this thing still spawn? Or has it been removed when BfA landed?

Comentario de Day7

Just got this today as an Alliance hunter

gonna be nice to look fairly unique

It was up with no wait time at all for me, 36,69 behind the shadow hunter

I feel the need to add/update some information about this to alleviate any confusion and possible questions...

ORGRIMMAR
**This is in the Valley of Spirits**
If you're flying - or driving/running/walking/crawling - the best directions I can give are THESE:

Go through the big gate opening from the main city into the Valley of Spirits. Turn RIGHT. It's the FIRST (1st) set of Huts. There's 3 levels to these huts. The basket is on the GROUND FLOOR of the hut - in front of a stack of skulls. Inside the basket there are some gems (a couple white, some reds) with golden sand. THIS is where it will spawn.

I'm not sure if server hopping helps with this actually since you're in a main city but you can try it and see... I guess it has worked for some people.

Seems to have a respawn timer of about 12-14 hours.
I think I read somewhere that this is the Warlock Trainer hut - that is not correct. This is the PRIEST Trainer hut and there is a Priest Trainer standing right THERE.

The coords are:

39,69

You MUST be a BM Hunter to train.
Don't forget to dismiss your current pet.
Make sure you have room in your character stable slots.
You have to be level 110 in order to click the shell but you do NOT need to be level 110 to tame. Once it spawns - I believe any level can tame so either have a level 110 alt camped there to clicky and then log your intended BM Hunter back on to tame or have a friend or whatever if you're under level 110.

Like any beast/creature - anyone cal kill but please don't as this is a highly sought after BM Hunter pet AND if you already have one and just happen to see it in the area - maybe just shout out or do a channel post about it being there for other BM Hunters that might be interested. You never know - you could get a tip or some crazy trade maybe - but truthfully - you'll just be that cool guy that hooked a fellow Hunter up :)

If you see any Alliance scum camping this - KILL THEM WHERE THEY STAND!

I hope that helps everyone and good luck with this.

FOR THE HORDE!

Comentario de dmciver

As an Ally hunter this is a fun tame. The challenge I had was that to get to where you can click the eggshell, you aggro Ogrimmar Grunts, and the respawn time is long.

But did it today and used an alt to do it. I had my Horde hunter camp and check back with him until eggshell spawned. Then switched to Ally, flew in to above the hut, switched to Horde, clicked eggshell to spawn him, relogged on Ally, flew down to the spot behind him where you don't aggro grunts (but you can't click the eggshell), He was still there waiting for me to tame.

Fun tame even though I "cheated" by using an alt to make sure I could actually swoop in and tame him.

Now if I could just get Loq, Arcturis, and Gondria. Haven't actually seen them and with Loq and Arcturis, there's always hunters waiting.

Comentario de Mottik

This is available in the Legion Remix but only for Horde characters. The portal is in Thunder totem, near the Chieftain, or you can use the optional quest chain to see the start of the expansion. The Gryphon is also available, but only to Alliance players (there's a portal in the Greymane enclave).
The eggshell for Gon is visible at 14, but requires level 40 to actually summon. The feather is probably the same.

BIG EDIT: Not only are the two NOT faction locked after all, you can also find and tame Lightning Paw in Duskwood!
From Horde side, you take the zep to Grom'grol, then fly north, through Duskwood to Stormwind. Alliance side is reversed, taking the Grom'gol zep to Org.

Comentario de Androktasiai

tl;dr: Not sure if the respawn timer is shorter again, or if I lucked out and relogged into a different shard. So maybe if you go there and it's not there, log out, come back in 10-15m?

So I had it bug out when I went to do this tame on an L80 Ally Hunter. I dropped down from the top of the hut, it was there, promptly aggro'd the Grunt that's nearby. Clicked eggshell, trapped raptor, ignored guard--and it wouldn't let me tame. I had no pets out, but it kept saying I had a current summon. No one to revive either. By the time I summoned a pet to dismiss it he had despawned :( :( I flew out and tested taming on a boar--all fine--went back to park next to the eggshell. Left myself parked there in shadowmeld, swapped to an alt on a different server group to do a group-join realm hop. When I logged into my hunter to join the group...the shell was there again. ?

So, I don't know if it's a fast respawn, or, if logging out there in Oggy and coming back 5-10m later shared me to another Realm, but, this time the tame worked. <flex> can now have paired raptors while still running an exotic main. :)
