Kill Tracker Added, Goblin Glue Rockets - More Datamined Plunderstorm Hotfixes

Posted 2024/03/28 at 5:26 PM by Squishei

A kill tracker has been added!
Goblin Glue Rockets now counts as a snare effect, likely making CC immunity abilities (e.g. Faeform, Lightning Bulwark) prevent the slow entirely.

Kill tracker bugged for me. Didn't count any kills, player or NPC.

How about the Netherwing's Black Scales manuscript for those who finished the achiev in the past? Is it fixed already?

Yess! Finally a kill tracker! Time to set some records

Here comes all the PvE'rs complaining about having a kill counter.

But can we please get a way to see Renown on the lobby screen without having to go into a match or fix some of the bugs in retail this patch put in like the health bar resetting and reps missing?

What update would you want? Plunderstorm is a limited time event so of course it's getting updates.

Kill counter is pointless, but good on them for fixing(?) the glue rockets. That was pretty dumb that I couldn't soulshape out of it when the whole point of soulshape is uninhibited mobility.

Nice update! Hoping Blizzard keeps up with this game mode with new cosmetics and such in the future. Nice to have a mode that I can just jump into for a good bit of fun.

This hotfix being pushed while I was in the middle of my first game of the day caused me to lose out on all my Plunder...lost the daily 800 + the quest plunder, ended up with like 400 instead of what I should have had.

With how often they're pumping out updates, it's pretty obvious they want to make this a permanent fixture. Bet they already know how they want to monetise it, just trying to pull the community on board.

They have a big event on Saturday where they're paying people to play this sludge. That's why they're updating it. And judging from the questions on the survey, they either want to bring it back or do something very similar to it in the future.

"Limited time event" is part of the FOMO to get people to pile on.

It has an MMR system. They're selling merch. And hosting a $50K streamer tournament. The ultimate plan is to spin it off as its own eSport title to lamely attempt to get a piece of the pie Fortnite has been enjoying. There's nothing temporary about it.

Thank God! The kill tracker is really something awesome. Keep up the good work.

That's a shame, not playing anymore, got my 40 Renown xD

Do you think the staff who investigate and deploy bug fixes on retail are the same who undertake tuning on Plunderstorm? Why would the bugfix be necessary before an entirely separate team could push tuning to plunderstorm.

set some records that nobody is going to remember.

Pvers? What do you mean? This has nothing to do with pve vs pvp, this is people who like wow vs people who want nothing content that has nothing to do with wow

What are you even smoking dude. Retail is getting updates more frequently than it EVER has in the past, including the wrath era.

And this is literally just a news post about a kill tracker in the UI. This is an infinitesimal update, and you still found a way to use it as a way to shoot at retail. Smh

Sorry, I didn't see any retail update in the past month other than 10.2.5, whereas plunderstorm is receiving updates daily. We don't get class fixes and reworks and nerfs/buffs daily....

Comment by avatarofshadow

they need to group people at Renown 40 in their own groups without the rest of us. Like how all other PVP puts max level people together
