No &*!@ Sherlock, they knew this would be a @#$% mechanic in a season where it was all about the bosses and yet went with it. Now the season is over and we no longer need to farm them for rep they gonna reverse the change. Idiots.
Immune phases when farming bosses are incredibly annoying, true, but what bothers me more than that is how builds scale to the point of one-shotting them in the first place. If you want players to experience the mechanics as intended, then why not add Resilience to Lair bosses or rebalance DPS so that one-shots can't happen (at an appropriate difficulty level)?
The immunity phase wouldn't be as bad if it didn't completely brick lillith.
Those immunity phases should have never been added to begin with...Also get rid of oneshot mechanics while at it.
I HATE the boss immunity phases! one of the worst parts of the game!
While avoiding the immune phases isn't that hard for the 3 ladder bosses, (Lilith I just don't care for she drops nothing of worth) it is just annoying to wait when I have over 300 Mucus Eggs for Duriel, I'd like to just be able to go through them as quick as I can as I have not had a mythic drop since season 8 began. (I did have over 480 Eggs at the beginning of S8)I also don't feel like wasting the unlock mats with such poor drop rates and now there are even issues with unique items missing their 4th affix? I'll check in every week to see if things like this get fixed, but why waste my time and lockbox mats if the game has bugs in it?
At least they fixed most of Lilith fight problems from S8.They need to fix not only the immunity phases, but also the immunity frames, where the boss, or even the adds (like the Andariel statues), just eat one of your skills out of nowhere (outside of immunity phases).Also the bugged drop rates/RNG. How the hell, pun intended, so many players are constantly tempering the same affix with the same value 5 times in a row (and bricking a piece of gear) or someone can drop up to 100 mythics (averaging almost 2 per day) while others drop 0 on S8 and what looks like to be S9 too?On the same note, not fixing the boss mat dupe exploit and balancing the game around it (overall lower drop rate of mats and gear) is terrible. The game is moving into a PoE state where its designed to incentivise players to go into RMT. Tired of people offering or telling me to just open the wallet and go buy "1k mats".
I had some fun in D4, but the devs keep screwing up. Just give us the next revamp already. If I gotta wait til the next expansion, that's fine by me.
"Fix it up" sounds like they aren't being removed.
I honestly stopped playing this game after getting to Lilith and having the boss bug out every time I did too much damage. The fight just wouldn't progress and she'd go immune and eventually kill me. Like what's the point of playing an ARPG where you can't just get crazy OP and nuke everything?
I gave up trying to kill Lilith a long time ago. Her going immune and doing stupid one shots with no loot worth worrying about means I didn't bother learning how to survive. Half the fun is getting slaughtered, going away, and returning with higher damage and getting revenge.
It was a lazy and bad game design decision in the first place, so, good.
i agree the immunity phases are trash but can we please get engaging boss fights that aren't just dead in 2 seconds upon spawning all other ARPGS have them its not impossible even D3 for all its flaws had more engaging rift guardian bosses at higher GRs they survived a minute or two even on the most endgame gear until you got like 20k paragon
One-shotting bosses is worse. The real issue isn't boss invulnerability phases, but that player power is way too high. No build should ever be 1-shotting a boss or going to a transition/invulnerability phases in 1 hit. Bosses should actually be engaging and take several minutes, but rewards and target farming need an appropriate overhaul to compensate.What's the point of a boss, if you can even call them that, if they just get 1-shot? Might as well just put the chest in town for us to open endlessly instead...Like I asked on the Season 8 Q&A months ago, these bosses should have some degree of resilience, like world bosses do, so that they can't be 1-shot, and players actually have to engage with mechanics etc. Retune awards/loots appropriately. These devs will never balance classes equally, so adding some resilience is the only solution imo.

And then rebalance Lillith so she doesn't just one shot you with sh...tuff..... you can barely see let alone have time to react to. Or just never put her in the Season Journey again and remove her quest. Less work this way.
They even added and immunity phase to duriel in season8, they know very well the crap they are doing.
"Fix it up" or "remove" there's a big dif. Immunity is fine for something you want to kill once or twice, for achievement. But for something you need to farm for gear for builds it's a huge annoyance. Nothing wrong with a good one tap, that's why you put together your powerful build to begin with.
