I like it how it is. I can play the game without being tempted to buy transmog from the game itself and the coming season armor sets looks appealing to be unlocked without other shop sets looking way better.
No. Plain and simple. No.The Trading Post in WoW was lauded for being a way to get good things in game without the use of real money. That's how it should be. Games shouldn't be a money sink like that. I've also not heard for anyone asking for more FF14-like options in Diablo. Blizzard has a style for their game. that's intentional.
As a longtime collector of everything in WoW to the point where I had 88 mounts and pets filling up my bags before the collections tab even existed: Buying stuff from the shop is not “collecting”. You are not engaging in an activity. You are not discovering anything. You’re forking over to a corporation.

The author is simply saying that if Blizzard is going to have an OPTIONAL cosmetic shop, at least make the gear not embarrassingly ugly. This narrow-minded idea of "i dont believe in buying optional cosmetics so no one should" is so overplayed. More and better options for the people who want them does not take away from your experience of never touching the MTX store. Grow up.
Diablo IV is a snooze fest, for starters. Who, in their right mind, would pay $20+ for those ugly things they put up?The armor in Diablo 3 was far more interesting, consistent, colorful.Everything in IV is so dull, so bland. They tried WAY too hard to do a 180 from Diablo 3.

Imo I really don't like how the female Barbarian has extra tops added, it makes her look less like a Barbarian than her male counterpart....She looks like a '' caravan guard '' in a lot of her gear while the male Barbarian clearly looks like a Barbarian. Another good example is the chainmail set, the male Barbarian has a broken chainmail, it looks like it has gone through hell and is barely holding up.The female Barbarian however has a completely intact chainmail and it makes her look boring by comparison... I don't even understand what the point is, imo I think it's stupid to worry about things like *gasp* womens nipples.But even with that argument it's dumb because they're not even naked when they have no gear on.So the gear should just be the same but with the '' underwear bra ''.The entire theme and aesthetic of Barbarians is '' half-naked muscle warriors '', but the female Barbarian is missing the first part in so much of her gear by comparison.
Why did you post this article. Sure the shop is there to help with a live service game. but FFS the shop does NOT need to be extremely good looking gear. We want to earn that @#$% IN GAME not have to buy it. If blizz makes simplistic cosmetics for the shop and good ones for xpacs + Bpass. That is the way to go. Not just making amazing sets for the shop... This is actually insane that you guys allowed this to be posted.
The fact you call the final fantasy cash shop "another example of a shop done right " while also showing shoes for 6$ or where you have to buy every emote in a mmo with a monthly cost just speaks for itself. This post is so extremly out of touch...
I'd prefer to see the shop removed tbh. But if nobody buys stuff, eventually they'll improve the offerings.
Absurdity
I don't want them to add appealing transmog to the shop, I want it added to the game for everyone to earn in some way. The transmog shop should be sets that are already available in game, just recolored. Blizz doesn't need to be encouraged to make more cash grabs
After the horse armor being sold in the store then going to an Amazon Prime promotion a couple weeks later...nah. Blizzard isn't getting my money in their in-game store.
The problem isn't the designs, it's the absurd pricing for said mediocre designs. $16 for a set I can basically already get in game? Oh hell no, not a chance.
the shop has poor designs on gear, some of which is already obtainable in game, i wish they would add some of the cool cosmetics Diablo Immortal sold, and just add on to the D4 shop
