look into the addon
TomTom
. It will give you both coordinates and waypoints.

I am a challenging person. I need coordinates to find places. How do I download wowhead onto my game itself to help me?
I agree that TomTom is the better solution, but to answer your direct question,
http://www.wowhead.com/client
is the link. In game, the shortcut is
/wl
which gives you the instructions list, including coordinates among other things.
You can either run the client once in a while and have it upload data, or you can run it in the background while you play, whereupon it will automatically upload each time you exit from the game.

TomTom seems to be the way to go! Whenever you have coordinates you need to enter, just type "/way <Area Name> <00.00 00.00>" Replace the area name with... say Valley of the Four Winds and the "00.00" portion with the coordinates you need!

It will also work without an area name; it assumes the current zone.
In other words /way 30 29 will give you a tomtom waypoint to 30,29 in the current zone titled 'unknown waypoint'

There's also an addon called Lightheaded that adds a pane to your quest log with all the comments from Wowhead about all quests, which invariably includes co-ordinates in those comments.
Is a nice little addon to save you alt-tabbing out of WoW to go view Wowhead quest comments, when you're not sure where you need to go.
& here I sit alt-tabbed out to post this comment - it doesn't let you do that ;)

Nice. I came to the forums looking specifically for this information. Thank op for asking, and for all of the awesome answers.

And if you can't find an addon you like, remember that coordinates are merely percentages of the distance across the zone. Not the land area, but the whole zone map. So, (50,50) is always the exact center, etc. If you have coordinates and are even just a little bit good at estimating percentages, that's enough to get you there.
