if you're looking for +Stamina food, pet food, or pretty much anything else, this is a waste of your time. The best food you can go for is Spider Sausage for +Stamina, it has 12 Stamina and Spirit for 15 minutes, this is only 10 Stamina and only 10 minutes. Also, these cost 2s per for the spices, Spider Sausage just takes the White Spider Meat, and can be farmed off of 40s spiders. If you're looking for level 60 pet food, don't waste your time trying to fish for it, Roasted Quail is the best for meat-eating pets, not too expensive and worth the saved time.

This is great food for level 45-59 twinks with high health. Arguing over the benefit of the stamina buff is silly when there always is Rumsey Rum Black Label. The Alterac Manna Biscuit is perhaps better, but a twink risks getting XP by entering AV. And the Alterac Manna Biscuit is inconveniently bop.

As of 4.3.0 (Cata) the point of this recipe for me was to level up cooking skill. The drop rates wowhead gives for the reagent suggests Swamp of Sorrows is the best place to farm. I did not find that to be true. I farmed for this Large Raw Mightfish 新鲜的大鱼 because it was the ingredient for: Mightfish Steak 大鱼片 - the only recipe I had for getting my cooking skill up past 300. The best place I found was in Blasted Lands on the land point directly east from the Bloodwash Fighting Pits in the Red Reaches. (Co-ordinates 73.2, 74.1) There I finally found Large Raw Mightfish once in every three to five casts. (Caught 11 in 30 minutes of fishing that location.)

Fishing skill: 350 - 375, with a +20 pole and +75 bauble.

You do not need to sit down for 10 seconds to gain the well feed +stam buff. In classic, only Glossy Mightfish and Mightfish Steak are the only foods that allow you to gain stam instantly. The drawback is that its only 10 stam and 10 min. Use it in pvp.... you can click the food while running and instant buff yourself.
