Drank the potion but can't interact with the sword.

I had the same issue with the sword not been able to interact, and what a I did was to jump between realms, suddendly I was able to interact with the sword after I go back to my realm. Hope this help

Using an alt worked for me. Required lvl 90 main with campaign, to skip the intro on the alt.
Got the achievement and renown rep.

The Main did not see the potion, regardless of relog, realm hopping or deleting cache.

I did need to relog after picking up the potion though.

I drank the potion and couldn't interact with the item, so I looked it up here and came back dead to patrolling mobs. After ressing I could click the sword.

Known bug with this item.

I clicked on the potion and was unable to click on Exaliburn. So I did the /reload with no success, still couldn't click on it. Did a hard log out, still couldn't. Attempted to jump layers, still couldn't. I then got onto an alt, clicked on the potion, was unable to click on the sword. Reloaded, still no. Logged out (hard X on the game) logged back into my main and was able to click on the sword. Success.

I went to the location, dropped down and clicked on the potion, waited a sec and then clicked on the sword and the first try it said "Invalid target" but when I clicked on the potion again and drank it, I clicked on the sword and it gave it to me. :)
