This racial is activated the same as Herbalism and Mining are, and cannot be used at the same time as the others. If there is a treasure in your detection range, a gold dot will be placed on your mini-map indicating there is a treasure chest there.

Obviously has its benefits, but not as monumental as many of the other racials. I personally rolled a dwarf rogue for this and the stoneform talent, and Find Treasure is very valuable in village-type areas, caves, instance stealthing, etc.

I would absolutely roll a Dwarf if I needed beacons all over the minimap to level my own or even a friend's lockpicking. Isn't that great?

Also useful for ninjaing all the potions, food, water and vendor loot from the Supply Crates in Stratholme while your party wonders what the hell is going on with all the mobs the just aggro'd.

Extra benefits since TBC hit. Quest items that must be collected from the ground are now trackable using this. In short, ANY item that can be opened can now be tracked by this racial.

Does this stack with any hunter tracking skills?
Does it stack with finding minerals/herbs etc.?
If not, this racial sucks! Then u r almost forced to go skin/leather or something like that.

This racial is *amazing* for some very specific circumstances. One is identifying non-trap boxes in Strathome that contain food and Holy Water. The latter can be used to AoE undead, and in particular is amazing when doing the Benediction/Anathema solo gauntlet quest.
