My guild just entered AQ40. As an Orc Shaman, I'd try to get this to complement my elemental 1h/shield setup. It's the only high dps 1h I can find that has anything remotely caster on it (albeit it's only 10 int). I'd like having a higher dps weapon, even if it means sacrificing some casting damage. Plus, I have 305 skill with axes.

Can Shamans get this quest though?

If your getting this weapon for tanking, think again... The Ancient Qiraji War Hammer is regarded as superior in this respect.

The stats are not suited for tanking as steejee thinks, because STA/INT are not warrior stats! If your a Fury warrior, and want weapons from AQ40 then look for;

the Ancient Qiraji Ripper.

Post 2.0 patch this weapon is great for hunters especially, it has everything on it we want (yes we want Intellect now).
Well, great especially for MM Hunters, other hunters might want to go for weapons with a higher +AP & without the int.

This weapon is a nice addition to any shaman / hunter or even warrior.

This thing with shaman duelwielding makes it very good.

It's obtained by a special sort of loot dropping from bosses in AQ40 called Imperial Qiraji Arnaments.

When u have one u need 3 elemtium ore, this is no problem in most guilds.

After the 3 elementium ore u need to deliver this to a NPC at the twin emperors place getting there can be done by joining a raid from another guild that can clear up to that.

This is OK for warriors, but to be honest I'd give it to a paladin or shaman. Of course, it could be given to a mage...but that would be crazy.

Mainly a Hunter, Maybe a Shaman weapon imo.
The Crit chance is good, and would benefit a Hunter alot.
But now Shaman's have Dual-Wield, this would be an excellent weapon to pick.
The Int and Attack Power would also benefit the Shaman ALOT, And don't forget that lovely crit chance.

A pretty nice weapon all round really :)

When i first saw this weapon i was thinking : This + Crul'shorukh, Edge of Chaos = imba fury warrior combination! but then i noticed... Blessed Qiraji Pugio! :O
and id rather combined that with Crul'shorukh, Edge of Chaos.

I guess this weapon goes to hunters then (unless some paladin wants it, its up to them)
I play hunter and i think this is a good hunter weapon but id rather go with Barb of the Sand Reaver + 25 agility bonus anyday.

this would be good for your hunter as an axe yes. But as it is a quest item then i think if your a dwarf hunter then the gun is much better. It has by far the highest DPS for any gun in the game and give +31 ranged power. +10 stamina is always useful. This is blatently NOT FOR WARRIORS as the axe has +10 intellect which is wasted on a warrior. You could use it if you wanted to but this depends on what kind of warrior you are. Shammys or palidins could get alot of use out of this but it i was a palidin i would take the shield and get Crul'shorukh, Edge of Chaos any day over this.

Warblade of the hakkari and CHT are much more better than this for hunters. we are ranged, melee weapons are just for the stats...

I'll surely will choose the gun, sick of Rhok (even that gun's look is lame...)

Well this can only really be a hunter, shaman or pala item judging by the intellect and other stats on it. Its pretty nice but im not sure if id drop the extra attack power on other 1 handers such as fang of the faceless or silithid claw for the extra intellect and stamina on this weapon. If it had another 10-15 attack power id definitely go for this to duel wield with a hatchet of sundered bone from naxx.

Its all a personal choice I guess but I certainly wont be spending my dkp on this item until lots of people have taken the quest item and the price drops.

As a hunter I personally dont rate any of the possible huntery items from the imperial qiraji armaments. The gun, dagger and axe dont look that great really when you see the caster stuff.

ok think about it. hwl axe top end 207. this top end is 205 a bit quicker to make up for the low end dmg. just because an iteam has int that means nothing. COD 1 of the best helms in the game for a dps warrior has int who cares.think out side of the box GG.

This is clearly blizzard's attempt to supply enhancement shamans with a much needed 1 handed weapon to prepare for the BC expansion. I can only imagine the damage of a shaman duel wielding this along with a good offhand (and fully decked out melee gear). Stats arent that great for hunters (not enough agility), but the DPS on this is godly, along with the crit (for flurry) and AP, its obviously for enh shammys.

Being completely honest....i would pick my Zulian Stone Axe over this...the only difference is 2 dps, and a few extra Health points
i mean, this only has +14 attack while the stone axe has +44, and they both have the same crit boost..
plus, the stone axe has more in, i mean, More heals FTW..

First of all this is a bad ass weapon for many differant classes, fury warriors, shamens, or a hunter. Second of all jxspyder your a fkn idiot, no i wont use the 10 int nore do i give crap, it has ap, primary stat for me, it has crit, primary stat for me, it has high dps, it has sta, it has a amazing high top end dmg for my forced hits. As a fury warrior that i am, this weapon would be amazing in my hands.
However its also amazing for a shamen or a hunter. what im saying, just because it has a stat that one class may not use does not mean its not for that class, or they shouldnt use it, there are many many weapons in this game designed to work with multiable classes, example take claw of chomaggus , its a 1hand dagger that has +64 dmg and healing, 17int 7 sta and 4mana over 5. So what class is it for. shamens and mages idealy, why mages make the best use of the dmg, shamens would make the best use of the healing, mages certanly would not use the healing part of the weapon, and shamens would not use the dmg part of the weapon, meaning it is a multi class weapon with stats are great and not so great for differant people, same as this axe, it has stats that are awsome and some that are not depending on who uses it. So learn to stfu and learn the game before making retarded post

wel this weapon seems to be ment for a tank-like warrior or a shaman that playes 1h and shield and of course VERY good for a dual wield hunter...so i say its a very good weapon for these..but for anybody else ...wel..not that good(wel a warrior with dual wield coud have some fun with it :D )

If I want critical hit and attack power, I'll use a 2-hand. As a pally, I don't have any use for this one. But maybe after the expansion the paladin will be able to tank, and thereby needing such a 1h.. but then why not just get Quel'Serrar.

Nope, this is one of the best onehanders a hunter can get so I guess it would go to them first. Then fury warriors maybe, but mind you all the nice BWL drops with str. and COH etc.. and Doombringer.

I don't see the point of this item really. If a paladin is DPSing, (lol) he'll be using a two hander like herald of woe, not a 1 hander and shield. And there are a ton of better caster 1 handers for a paladin to use while healing/cleansing.
