I just got this hammer a couple of weeks ago on my Enhancement/Restoration Shaman and man do I love this weapon. I put +22 intellect on it so now I can use the same weapon if I am a heal bot, or DPS machine. Plenty of additional mana for more shocks during battles, nice damage with crits and WF. I put in my vote as this being the nicest non-epic Shaman weapon.

Just got this in my 1st ever run of Stratlv 57 Druid, rolled against a pally and won...

i went with small raid of guildies and this random pally...

Very nice mace, gives me a reason to change from feral(for fast leveling) to rest...

was pretty easy raid, we wiped only 2x and 1 was from a bad lagg (our priest lagged out and ran into 5 mobs...LMAO)

IF you are after this, dont take a chance, get your team together and have it sown up b4 u go, that is to say, make sure no other druids/shammys, and if you got pallys, sort it out first... NO point running and not getting if it drops, 1st a nice enchant then... who knows

This is a weapon for Paladins first, then Druids second. Druids don't need this, they have staves. You druids should really show some consideration if there's a paladin in your group and let them roll first.

However, there's an incredibly high amount of stupid Paladins that wouldn't make this thier primary weapon in instances pre-MC/ZG/BWL. Sure, it may not have the dps of some other maces, but it's still superior for paladins due to the stats on it. Paladins are generally not in groups for uber dps and are support characters, even in five man, dealing moderate dps while helping to keep the rest of the party alive.

Oh, and if anything, having a competent paladin in your group versus the baron will make your job much easier, not harder.

awesome mace on my pally, but it looks pretty dinky. looks fine on my back though, so i keep it there. getting a +55 healing spell enchant on it too. i have a fist of omokk that i use when i'm actually doing melee, mostly just cuz it looks cooler lol.

The odd thing about this Hammer is that it IS do damn fast. I think the point is that it can be used while healing. It's not for SoC damage, but for wacking away with JoW and SotC and keep your mana up if you are a 2 Handed wacko like me.

However, as it is, when I am on normal group duty (meaning I don't have to do damage, and need to be ready to heal, BoP, cleanse) I carry a 1H and Shield:

this hammer is good for the 3 classes we mentioned, but it is not just used for healing, the intel on it helps pally with mana for healing AND their other spells

Got his yesterday on my first ever run through Strat Scar (no, I never did a 10-man run).

As a holy specced Pally this is much more use to me, purely from a stats point of view, than my previous blade (barberous), as it gives a massive boost to both my hp and mana pools, which is great for when I'm grinding (I use a 1h + shield for instance running anyhow, and they both need upgrading).

Just need to get to DM East now for my energized chesplate :D

For a close equal in a 1h+shield, I'd go with

The Hammer of Grace http://www.thotbott.com/?i=4931

Both are pre-MC equipment

Aside from the 2hander/sword-and-board switch, you do have some tradeoffs here...the Hammer of Grace + Protector gives you 5 more STA (50 health), 16 less INT (240 mana), and 9 more +healing. You also have two items that can be enchanted, giving you more options for stacking for personal preference.

Personally, I raid with the Grace/Protector combo, simply becuase I prefer to have the armor and block. Either one is a viable setup.

it's what I use, and I would have to say a much better combo for a pally...since we should be in melee range most of the time anyway...

My first run in Strat with my 58 Pally and this just dropped for me yesterday. I was praying for it the whole run!
To say the least I am extremely pleased, there was another pally in the group, a guildie, and he passed it to me cuz he's retribution spec'd and knew that I'd get more out of it being holy.
Slapping a mighty intellect on it as soon as I find an enchanter that can do it. Sweeeet!

I was 11 times in strat-scarlet with my 60 level pala. We get to Balnazzar only 6 times and we killed him only 4 times. Maybe its better to buy something other in the auction hause then to get this hammer. Good luck :)

Picked this up in Strath, first day patch went live. It's a lot like the Rod of Ogre Magi, but adds more Int, a lot more Int. Pretty badass for a Druid (and paladins too, but I'm a Druid).

I use this as a Druid. I wish there was more Spirit on it. But I guess thats what the enchant on mine is for.

This is pretty much the best rest/balance druid weapon other than Finkle's Lava Dredger.

I picked this up on my first trip to Strat (scarlet side) yesterday. I knew it dropped there but could never dream it would drop on my first run. With a +22 int or +55 healing enchant I think I will keep this for a long time. Oh, and btw a warrior rolled on this together with me and the Pally in the party. That is just rude! This is no warriors weapon.

I like that much. I also like the Blackhand Doomsaw. I will do Strat and UBRS a lot and whichever one drops first Ill go for. But this beats the Doomsaw way too much. 26 int, + healing, even nice dmg. I like the speed too. I usually use like 3.5 >.< Its 100% good paladin wep, just looks gay.

Few things in the game, until you're hip deep in the endgame content, will compare to this 2H hammer for paladins or druids. I put a +22 intellect on this toy and just grin as priests get jealous. :)

It really is a nice consolation prize for paladins especially, since we can't use staves it's effectively our healer's staff.

Found it today, it's really Druid friendly.

Only thing I dislike about it, is that it doesn't have a custom texture (it looks like a Royal Malet, a green drop).

I'm going to have to decide if I want to start using this in MC with +50 healing enchant, or replaced the +9 spirit on my Hale Magefire (25int, 22spi).

Obviously, I'd be losing a lot of spirit (between 13-22) to gain +22 healing.

Not to mention I have to respec out of 51 restoration to spec for 2 hander. Hmm, and if only it was a big hitter like a reaper. :(

Iv'e had this for about 3 months now and i haven't gotten a replacement (except for +22int enchant). Our guild says Finkle Lava Dregder is Druid, Aurastone hammer is priest so I'll have to wait until rag or BwL :)

I got it yesterday. Definately nice stats, but I don't think I will keep it, I will use it until I get the Doomsaw.

Yet the others in my party didn't want it even temporarily, so I got to keep it :)

Only thing I really hate about this mace: It's too small, it really looks like a one-handed mace, but not like a the two-handed weapon it is.

This is by far a pally druid weapon, real paladins dont care for overall damage, esp not in instances like Molten Core or Onyxia(I use this in MC 兇猛重槌 Of the Eagle (+17int +18sta). In PvP though, I'd just bust out the doomsaw or Warbalde of Caer Darrow

As a leveling druid im checking out potential healing weapons

Im torn between this and Staff of Metanoia

I when i hit 60 I will deffinately lfg for scholo (as long as they do jandice) and live strat.

Technically if you can get friends you can farm jandice within about 30 min, but a full live you are looking at at least an hour.

Im fine with every single stat on it ... i wouldnt want it to be 3+ sec speed .. since when im healing (especialy when wielding 2hander) i really dont want to have some 2K+ Windfury procs and attract aggro

This is an uber druid mace really but it's also very very usefull for Molten Core gear for Paladins. With the +22intel enchant this is the ultimate rare healing weapon.

I've got a lvl 60 pally and been using IBS, Doomsaw, Crystal Spiked Maul and now this and I must admit that the mana pool & extra healing on this baby is awesome. The damage with SoC is not the best since the max dmx isnt that big but u still do alot of dmg.

The big upside is in groups/raids where u dont have to whip out shield & 1h, u can use this baby and do some very nice dmg while u have enought mana to heal & cleanse. I got +22 int on it and it gives me more mana then Hand of Edward the odd (with +22 int) & Rattles shield which I normally use in groups/raids.

Pitty it looks so crappy because its the best non epic pally/druid/shaman 2h in the game.

Got this for my druid today after my 10-11th run for this damn thing (and the +8 to all stats off-hand that *still* hasn't dropped), and I was frowned upon by my group because this was "a paladin weapon." I wonder what they'd say if this were labeled "staff" instead.

Oh well, I guess some people get grumpy when they lose rolls. "Healer weapon", anyone?

I'll get a +55 healing spells for this baby, for some +healing goodness.

Great 2h mace for Druids. I've run Strat Live twice, the first time I had no idea that Balnazzar even dropped this. Thanks to a few guildies and some awesome rolls, my Lvl 60 Druid now has himself an awesome healing/DPS mace.

Since patch day I (lvl60 druid) ran every day to Balnazzar just to get this weapon and today when it dropped a warrior rolled and won it... I still can't believe it.
It's the ultimate druid weapon and a warrior thinks, that he need it.
