Let's see, Cenarion is tier 1, Stormrage is tier 2. Early on when Blizzard was still confused, both sets used to drop in MC then they changed so that tier 2 only drops in BWL, Ragnaros, and Onyxia. IMO Tier 2 really sucks (for being tier 2). I mean seriously, how much of an upgrade is Stormrage from Cenarion? not much! Blizzard really gotta stop laughing at us druids. ZG epic leather is 10 times better than both Cenarion and stormrage.

So, I constantly see people complaining about the "resto spec" gear is all druids ever get... Well, the items in question usually are only attainable from a drop in one of the top dungeons.

Any druid that spends enough time in BWL to actually get a set of Stormrage gear probably spends a lot of their time healing. By and large, the top clans' druids are there to do 3 things:

1. INNERVATE for careless mages and priests that run out of mana.
2. back-up healer/Heal over time (regrowth and tranquility)
3. Rebirth the primaries in the heat of battle when accidents happen (and they will).

Can a full feral kitty do a lot of DPS? well, sure, but never as much as a good rogue. Can a full feral dire-bear tank? Yep, but not as well as a good warrior, especially with good healers (including maxxed out HOT) backing him up. The only exceptional feral talent for massive raids is Heart of the Wild.

Anyway, my point is, don't bash on the resto garb that drops in top instances. It's there 'cause the druids that get there are likely to (or should) be Resto spec. If you want feral gear, check out this post:

It's a bit dated, but still has lots of good feral gear info. As a Resto/balance druid, I think stormrage and genesis raiments are where it's at. But any druid worth his salt has more than one set of armor, and can switch quickly with a macro, should the need arise. There're plenty of feral items to be had, and some good hybrid stuff from the PvP rankings.

My guild has been doing bwl fully for about half a year now and we have only had the SR chest drop once. I've been up for the chest and its been two months now without any luck a 13% drop rate my butt!

This is old Stormrage Chestguard..

New one is:

225 Armor
+20 Stamina
+25 Intellect
+17 Spirit
+10 Fire resist
+10 Nature resist

Equip: Improves your change to get a critical strike with spells by 1%.

Equip: Increases healing done by spells and effects up to 42

So it's not that bad ^_^

People its really not that difficult. The Cenarion set is the happy happy twigs and leaves one that is like light brown with the leaf shoulders and stuff.

why is it that bliz hates feral combat >< the talent line for it rocks, but then they get to the epic items sets and nerf feral. they dont put any specials for feral, not even feral stat bonus. they do it with wars too, i mean tanking is great and all, but give us some dps stuff too.

WTF? Healing increased by up to eleven? Thats nothing for t2. why do Druids or someone else need resistance to Nature or Arcane when all mobs are doing either Fire or Shadowdamage? So Blizz could remove these resistances and increase Healing instead of this crap! As a druid you are not depented to 10000 Int ( but if course mana is very important :-) ). I think as a druid you are depented to +healing stuff. I have collected many of these items and now i am proud to say that I have a healing plus of nearly 450. So a HT heals for ~ 2600 ( Crit: ~ 3400+ )!

I just got this tonight on the Kel'Thuzad server. As of 1.8 it still looks like green camo gear...like a green and brown version of Shadowcraft.

i got this chest 3 days ago, i now have 6/8 stormrage ^^ it is green, but will change in patch 1.9 to look just ike the one on the picture up tere :) gonna be awsome seeing i have shoulders, gloves, boots, chest, leggings and hat
im goin to look like a moose ^^ well im really looking forward to patch 1.9, even thou i like the current look aswell, i look like a rouge with a staff ^^

you can still be a full resto druid with only removing the crapass points in Healing touch which is like a total joke since you have no crit gain on it. You loose insta heal but that's like not all that much since you get thick hide,crit and charge. I have over 12K armor in bear atm buffed and i offtank lots og #$%^ in MC when we have a lack of warriors. L2P
