These totally rock for whamans since the change. Wore Blood Guarrs mail greaves before these and foud these to be a nice opgrade with the +4 more healspells, +1 more stamina and the spirit and shadow res stats. Don't know what they were like before but if it was anything like the elements one I can get why ppl would call them crappy. These are pure shammy stuff =)

I used to have the Merciful Greaves and I bidded all my DKP on them.. lets make a little comparison shall we?

The change from merciful to earthfury got me:

-4 int
-2 to healing
+22 spirit
+7 shadow res
+1 stamina

Add to that the fact that it is an earthfury set item, which means you'll get a set bonus on them, and i think armor value is higher too, although i haven't checked that.

If you think the +22 spirit is irrelevant you need a serious mental test.. spirit is the main attribute for MC healers (Int is definitly on the second place). Getting more mana regen in longer fights = FTW. Preferring 4 extra int (which is only 60 mana after all.. 1.5 cure poisons yay!) and saving DKP for the other pieces is just plain stupid, because you'll get a huge amount of new dkp before the chest/shoulder/helm will drop anyways.

They just dropped from Lucifron (together with Might gloves) and I got em for 20 DKP which is cheap and I'm glad 'cause I had real crappy boots before... (I wont even tell you which :P)

Utter crap indeed. Are shamans supposed to gear up +agi for instances so we can get uber melee crits? =) Why on earth are these epic, maybe they got mixed up with hunter epics. ;E

Won these off Lucifron

I don't wear them currently due to the fact they suck.

Blood Guard's Mail Walkers are MUCH better IMO.

Hopefully with the changes these will be viable to wear, but when they look like giant red galoshes equipped, I'd still have a tough time wearing them.

Aside from the big amount of spirit and resists. Merciful greaves are better than these.

if you got merciful and don't feel like wasting dkp. then save it for something better like gaunts or helm or pants or something.

Luci disapointed me when this dropped :(
