too bad u can't get both shadow form and this. but as a holy priest it's definitely more worth the points than holy nova

With this spell, some Prayer of Fortitude 2 that costs about 3000 mana to cast, will go free mana cost if Inner Focused..

And this better spell can be got 10 levels earlier than (imo crappy) shadowform, low levels will be happy to take this.

Using the AddOn TheoryCraft which can show you what percents for critical you have I've noticed that the Priest Talent 'Inner Focus' only gives you a 25% critical bonus on Holy Crit Chance, not at all 'When activated, reduces the Mana cost of your next spell by 100% and increases its critical effect chance by 25% if it is capable of a critical effect.'
Either the AddOn is bugged (it seems not to be though, since it shows crit bonuses from items correctly), or the Talent information is wrong or bugged.

btw this + greater heal should go real nice with about 4k heal with 0 mana cost (if it crits)

Yes with inner focus you can still be in Shadow, b/c i am. And yes the next spell is free, i normally use to cast Word/fort and in emergency when mana is all used up.

IMHO, inner focus does not help increase your critical chance by much. I rarely see it crit with mind blast. More often than not, mind blast crit more often without inner focus casted on yourself.

I main use inner focus for emergency cast and to get a free fortitude buff.

I get a lot of crits with inner focus....I've seen more cris with it than non crits.

My favorite uses of inner focus is to drop shadowform, use desperate prayer, inner focus, and pop back into shadowform. I just healed myself for a good 1.5k, and I'm back in shadowform in just a few seconds. Great tactic. It also cost me 0 mana to use it.

Inner Focus is best used to NOT interrupt your manaregen with a spell! When you cast something, your spirit based regen becomes 0 (or 15% with talents) for 5 sec. Inner focus lets you keep 100% of spirit regen while casting the free spell! It's not very useful when you chaincast, but if you're "steady healing" with occasional gheals (like MT healing in some cases), you can use it to gain a LOT of extra spirit regen.

It reduces the mana cost by 101%? What does that mean? Does it give you back 1% of the mana cost?

this spell is awsome if u use it alot in instances as a holy/disc preist. how ever it still rules if u use it only for the group fort buff. at 60 the group fort buff costs 3400 mana now imagine ur group is bout to lose there buff say in the mid of a boss fight. at 60 wit the imp buff thats 700hp a person, u can restore it in or out of combat for absolutly no mana which ofcorse=no down time. now if ur this far into disc, u no dout hav the divine spirit buff but since its quite a bit less mana to use and its less important to a group as teh fort u can wait till after a battle to use it if u must. as for the +crit i couldnt care less if it is 25% or 1% the no cost on mana is the real nice thing. and yes ofc fort buff can not crit for those bout to ask the Q.

This spell allows you to cast even when you have 0 Mana

The Mana cost of your next spell is reduced by 100%.

So This spell cost 0 Mana. The cool down is 3 minutes.. I think it is the best talent that a disc. priest gets
