Has an AE spit that hits for around 1k+, applies a poison based DoT, and the spit has a large range (ie 30+ yds). The DoT will stack if hit multiple times, and he likes to do it alot. For a Hydra this thing moves fast on land, so no use running anywhere ;).

Comment by Thottbot

We had 32 people and wiped at about 76%. We're a regular MC going guild, and it's gunna take a while to get the mats back, but he was very difficult, attack spits out to about 10 poeple, about 1100 damage to each and a Poison Dot, pallys were de-poisoning, but it was still hard, adds all over the place were respawning aswell, so it wasnt easy at all.

he hits every1 that is in combat with him even if u run like a 100yd

Comment by Thottbot

I saw even randoms around been hitted by that monster, and there was a hunter more than 70 yards away who was hited by that poison so its for sure it can hit all around till something like 100yard range. Any good tactic to kill this thing ?

you may consider to try this :

poison resistence potion : clear ALL current poison effect and IMMUE to poison for 1 min. Timer : 3 second, not conflict with healing/mana potions.

Get a 20 men well geared group or a 30+ average party, everyone prepare 5 of the above mentioned potion, if this boss will pop, everyone starts to drink one/minute, you should have 5 minutes to take him down and that should be well enough.

To make this potion, you need bruiseweed (which is very cheap, normally around 1G or less/stack of 20), and large venom sac - depends on your sever, its a pain to farm these, price may varies.

1. Farm Twilight Cultist humanoids in Silithus. You will need 16 complete twilight sets and 9 large brilliant shards to get the materials to summon the boss that drops this.

2. Use 12 twilight cultist sets to summon 12 Templars from the Lesser Windstones. You may need another person's help, but the Templars are soloable. Each will drop an Abyssal Crests. You will have 12 crests at the end of your summons.

3. If you are Friendly with Cenarion Circle, you will be able to trade in 3 abyssal crests + 1 large brilliant shard for a 'Twilight Medallion of Station'. Do this 4 times, yeilding 4 Medallions of Stations.

4. Take 3 Medallion of Stations and 3 Twilight Cultists sets, and four other party members, and use them on Normal Windstones to summon Abyssal Dukes. Each Duke drops an Abyssal Signet. You should have 3 of these at the end of your summons.

5. If you are revered with Cenarion Hold, you will be able to turn in the 3 Abyssal Signets + 5 Large Brilliant Shards for a "Twilight Ring of Lordship". Take this ring, your last medallion, and your last twilight cultist set and use it on a Greater Windstone. You will have a 1/4 chance that Lord Skwol will be summoned. He is the hardest of the 4 possible bosses. If you fail to kill this boss you lose all the materials required to summon him. If killed, he has a good chance of dropping the necklace.

That's pretty full tilt dudes. Hope my priest gets a chance to participate in something like this,, One day.

Regards and cred..work it out lol

Got someone to revered finally. Ran out there with 20 people and summoned 10 lords. good times. Lots of epics :)

Comment by Thottbot

we did it in a pickup group but it still was mostly guild we had like 5 people that werent in our guild. his aoe range is huge does lots of damage and if it wasnt for being next to the grave yard no way in hell we were doing it. he is rediculously hard.

Comment by Thottbot

We tried several lords last night in our group of about 28. All three spawns were Skwol! All three were wipes. It was rough going trying to cleanse that fast. We just couldn't keep up. We tried again later and got Baron Kazum, and we wiped the floor with him. Skwol is just way too difficult in comparison.

Comment by Thottbot

One of our healers was stood on a tent, pulled aggro at 6% causing the boss to evade regaining all its health. Dont piss about clipping.

Comment by Thottbot

His poison doesn't hit as often, and I don't think it hits as hard. I don't think he has the stacking sunders anymore, either.

My group of 26 took him down today with 1 priest, 1 druid, and 1 paladin.

Comment by Thottbot

They nerfed him beyond belief. We had a 20-man running around and killed 3 dukes, including this guy. what a joke. The poison only ticks for like 150 now (I only had 45 NR) and I didn't notice any 1k aoe. just make sure people are on top of cleansing and it's cake. we had a harder time with the baron because of his aoe disarm, but all our kills were cake.

and yes, he did drop the necklace. That was one happy shaman.

Comment by Thottbot

So im just wonderin..if u have the ring and necklance to summon the lord but its not Skwol, can u summon another lord or do u need to get the stuff to summon him again?

Comment by Thottbot

All of the dukes can be done easily, without deaths with 15 people. We've done all of them with that, none are that hard and theres no reason for anyone to die if everyone does what theyre supposed to, all you really need is the dps, which with 30-40 people like other people say you really should have.

Comment by Thottbot

Did it with a pickup group. I know it's only supposed to be 20 man, but since it was a PUG, we had 40. :P

Comment by Thottbot

20 man raid, 10 guild, 10 pug. We did Baron twice, and Skwol once. No deaths. Its freaking easy.

killed with group of just 4
priest, paladin, warrior, rogue

Does anyone know the respawn time on the Greater Windstones?

Comment by Allakhazam

One priest spam gheal rank1 all the time on tank, pala clean whole group from poison spray and stuff and helps with healing a bit, just some attention and hes a cake.
We've killed all of those 4 types with just group of 4.
we had a warrior tank with pretty zg-mc gear full prot spec
a paladin healer with ~zg stuff +600healing 50+mp
a rogue bwl geared
and a priest aq40 geared, almost +1000 healing with high mp
we havent used any flasks or stuff, just mana pots and healers used majeblood pots. Fight has taken about 15+ mins, noone died, and i found that fight is pretty easy, just a bit focus and attention, nothing really hard. But yeah the earth one(Baron Kazum) can hits hurt so better to shield him up when he did a MS and so on.

EU Moonglade.

Comment by Allakhazam

2 tanks and poison cleansing, that's all you need to know.

horde ezmode ftw.

Comment by Allakhazam

Killed with 25 men pick up raid.

Comment by Allakhazam

So, would a normal 40 man non MC geared raid be able to take this guy?

Comment by Allakhazam

im going to summon this guy for the plate shoulders of striking :P

Is there any way to rig it so only he spawns?

Comment by Allakhazam

Killed him with a 28-man raid (guild up to Broodlord in BWL). Pretty easy fight. This mob spams AoE poison (1000 dmg + dot) but is otherwise quite harmless. He went down very fast.

Comment by Allakhazam

Between Rajaxx glitches we did a few lords. Water and Fire are both tough fights. A few people died to the fire lord. Only one or two died to Skwol. We're a mid-MC guild working on Domo. I'd suggest 30 if you're going with a group of noobs.

Dropped the bracers and the scepter. No neck...bummer.

Comment by Allakhazam

Necklace dropped for us today. Skwol is the meanest bad ass of the four due to his poison so we had a paladin who got rewarded nicely for dying like 4 times in the fight.

Comment by Allakhazam

This Ghaz'rilla-like guy is a tough fight. Does a lot of AoE-poison (600-1000 dmg + dot). After loosing 3 tanks (healers had to dispel a lot), we got him down. Dropped the scepter, plate epaulets & an essence...

30-player raid (MC gear).

Comment by Allakhazam

which elemt do i need to sumon him?

Comment by Allakhazam

Has anyone seen the Wavefront Necklace drop yet? I find it a nice compromise between Pendent of the Fallen Dragon, and Jin'Do's Evil Eye.

Comment by Allakhazam

we tried with 20 and it did not work, he stacks sunder armor on your tank with no max so I was tanking him with 0 armor.. not possible with that few

Comment by Allakhazam

8 manned him, me specced to full protection did not get 1 sunder armor during the entire fight, because of blocking it every time...

would have been doable with only me and 3 healers, 4man

isnt a very tough boss...

Here is how the summons at Silithus windstones work:

The summon has 2 properties: A) Difficulty and B) Elemental Type.

A) Windstone type dictates difficulty of the summon (easy to hard: Templar => Duke => Royal).

You need a full Twilight Trappings set to summon a templar at a lesser windstone.
You need a full Twilight Trappings set + Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station to summon a duke at a windstone.
You need a full Twilight Trappings set + Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station + Twilight Cultist Ring of Lordship to summon a royal at a greater windstone.

B) Crest/Signet/Scepter remove randomness of elemental type of the summon (Air, Earth, Fire, Water). Type of element after crest/signet/scepter controls elemental type of the summon. Without crest/signet/scepter, elemental type of the summon will be random.

Type of item is linked to difficulty level of the summon.

Crest controls => Summon Templar from a lesser windstone in Silithus
Signet controls => Summon Duke from a windstone in Silithus
Scepter controls => Summon Royal from a greater windstone in Silithus
