Sounds good to me. I like both events, and the elite mobs just got an HP increase so we'll have a bit more time to run towards them.
This notfix is just a joke, now only horde can win this...
I've yet to see the Alliance break 200 points.
Thanks for the bandaid. Hopefully the wound heals after a few weeks?
Can't Blizz just implement a zone-wide aura giving the underrepresented faction a buff to damage and healing, reducing damage taken and reducing CC duration against enemy players? When the opposing faction finds a player to be unkillable, they are more likely to turn off WM and balance can slowly be restored. The only thing it doesn't solve is the tagging issue. My point being: Simply changing an event isn't going to solve the imbalance, they need to be more drastic to force a balance. A few changes to sharding wouldn't go amiss either.
why not add raid of those "inteligent NPCs" from island expeditions to the under represented faction?
This won't work. The primary reason why it's unbalanced it's because if people see they faction is losing they will hop in another shard where their faction is winning and that makes that second shard quickly unbalanced too because in that second shard the other faction hops into another shard where they are winning too. It always trends towards the extremes and this doesn't solve it.But I dont think it has any solution either. Sharding are good for some things, but really bad for too many.
It should probably play out like Ashran. Were you would have to que up for the event and helped ballance the area.
Sharding is a great technology, but it's just terrible for a MMO.
all right, "fixing" the only reason a lot of people had warmode on... great
Another change because of the endless crying from alliance playerbase. but this change is welcoming. Lets give more reward to the allies so they finally turn on their WM.
This is horrible for someone who cares about these marks. Considering I've never seen a balanced battle, this might mean that the event will no longer ever happen
So much for being able to get any conquest via world pvp. I'm a Horde player, on a predominantly Alliance realm, but the Alliance don't tend to go into warmode that much. I ran through Boralus three times tonight before I saw a single player, and had to literally run past their scrapper before I could get one to attack me. (Was scouring Tirigarde for the CTA, and apparently Boralus doesn't count, because I didn't even get credit for the kill after >.< ) Anyway, I used the same work-around to complete the Nazjatar event that I use to help find supply chests during the normal BFA incursions. Shard Hopping. It's a beautiful thing. Find a group up for something, anything in the zone and jump to it. Elite world quests works amazingly well, if you can't happen to find a group specifically for killing members of the opposite faction. They tend to be auto-accept, and people are always jumping in and out of them, so nobody minds if you hop in to yoink yourself out of your shard and into theirs. In just a few seconds, whole new shard. Look around, and see if there are the handy-dandy enemies to kill, or just ask in chat. Everyone is going for the same goal, so they tend to be pretty helpful with the information. If you don't find any in that shard, leave the group. Sometimes you go back to your original one, sometimes you stay in that one, sometimes you drop into a new one entirely. Momma always said sharding is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. Just keep hopping until you find one that has people in it. Problem solved. There was no need to hotfix this in a way that makes it virtually impossible now for most shards to ever have the event. At least before we had the chance to join other shards and try to win the events. Now, they simply won't ever start unless there is already a perfect balance. That's like trying to recreate the Big Bang Theory in an aquarium with a child's chemistry set. It's possible, but I remain skeptical as to how probable it is likely to happen. It just seems like Blizzard removed the foundational way for people to obtain conquest outside of instanced pvp. I genuinely dislike most battle grounds. I do them when the achievements call for them, or when I'm just shy of capping conquest, but they are insanely tedious, and often decided by completely random factors. Such as which faction you play on the particular map having an advantage, or which team has more healers, or more of X class. Example... I've never actually seen what the beginning of Ashran looks like. I've only ever been placed into that bg on a losing side after someone has left. So, I don't use them as a primary way to farm conquest. I use incursions. I love them. I love playing in warmode. Do I get my ass kicked? Hell yeah. We all do. Do I kick ass sometimes? Sure. Do I run away like Brave Sir Robin when the need calls for it? YEP! But it's still a great aspect of the entire BFA expansion. And to have Blizzard simply remove it from Nazjatar just like that? Very disappointing. There's been uneven sharding through the incursions this entire time. People have made groups, and done like I've done to work around it. The solution isn't to simply remove the event. There has to be some possible way to balance shards a bit better. I mean I'm no coder or anything, but surely they can come up with a way to populate shards where "Shard A has no Horde WM players. Player X logs in, Horde WM, place into Shard A." Quantify it based on ratios or something? Get overall numbers of players in a region, split that based on Horde and Alliance in warmode/out of warmode, and then decide if it's even feasible to get a 50/50, or whether you need to aim for another ratio. I dunno. There are surely people who are much better at algorithms and such than I am.
If this is your plan these commanders need to have like 30 million health. They die so fast that by the time you actually get to them they are dead.Either more health or have them respawn like every 5 minutes and have them keep respawning till the event ends.
changing bad for the worse lmao
I was two wins away from the mount! Why Blizzard! Why?
