Hello team Blizzard. I hope youre healthy in these hard times. I'm also proud you're fixing bots/mage boostsBut Blizzard PLEASE if you are listening. PLEASE NO MAJOR CLASS BALANCES. New content is ok as long as it was intended to be done by blizzard devs back then inside classic.I've played since 2005Unlike retail, Classes in classic have Contrast and more differences. I enjoy being the underdog and trying to break my limits. I don't enjoy being buffed with a new change that never existed, that will make me no different to retail and all classes will be thesame. I play classic to relive 2006 not to play a game where I can be the strongest. I love being like rockyKeep paladins they way they are and please give reckoning it's own specific spell batching like seal twisting. Reckoning is currently not correct. As you can see you should buff reckoning so it can have 400ms which is how it worked in 2006. At the moment it's depowered to 10ms. As shown herehttps://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/give-reckoningredoubt-their-own-batching-like-seal-twisting/949566Like you've done with seal twisting, reckoning should also be corrected. To me I am motivated to play PALADIN for being the underdog. To prove to other classes I am worthy. Without that motivation classic is dead for me. I am automatically turned off if I am spoonfed.Judgement of wisdom is great with 32 debuffs for mana regen. This is an idea of how good paladins can be using seal twisting which double proc seals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzQ83AtI1xsAlso since we are seal twisting we can use rank 1 SoC and barely uses any mana.In pvp PALADINS are perfect as long as reckoning gets its specific batch (if you fix people will see how serious you are committed to fixing paladins so they mirror 2006 era paladins) and in pve now we are getting stronger thanks to seal twisting and consecration and judgement of the crusader and you are already buffing us with seal to righteousness twist which never existed back then so realistically that SoR twist should not be included because it never existed. Plus giving us 32 debuffs makes us already stronger because now we can use consecration and jotc so please don't change spell coefficients or buff us with things that never existed or people will start leaving :( because they will say they can't recognize the game.https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=sg7t4Lwj4cgThe video above is the reason I don't think changes to dragonbreath chili or shadow oils internal cooldowns should be changed. Since they aren't bugs. And also because they never had no internal cooldown prior. And also because shadow oil removes warlock shadowbolt Debuff instantly off bosses and the internal cooldown stops shadow oil from dropping off the debuff, and it dropping off is going to make a lot of warlock players angry. Also a hypothetical spell damage fire rogue double proccing a 2k chili is also crazy. I think it's already enough we are able to seal twist with SoR. Something that never existed so if anything that should be nerfedYou should make it that we cannot seal twist from seal of righteousness to command ----If you do decide to add more content. Maybe make it on special servers or unlocked servers by payment. So people can choose to have new content or not.And instead of adding new weapons that never exosted, what I would do is add 2 special items that are in the database for funThe original ashbringer that hits for 700 so paladins can be super excited and have it a reward from the scarlet monastery quest. Maybe have us go through a series of secret special fun quests similar to missingno in pokemon gold and we have to go to outland like npc says https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=3V8w6ouphr4&t=15m00s and (This means more TBC subs) tbc unlocks it in classic but to get it you have a 0.01% chance for it to drop from somewhere or maybe make it so you can unlock it in a special way And then talisman of binding shard at maybe 1% drop or 4 times less than bindings so it might take a whole 2 years to dropAnd maybe make quiraji battletank a collectable card like the spectral tiger. And people would pay very big money for it. Incase people miss out on itAnd maybe add a hard classic Karazhan raid only if you ever want to add new content because new content was planned in 2006 classic to exist in classic so we can have closure over being summoned to Kara by an atiesh staffNow some of these changes below may feel non existent but the changes are technically related to arenas that exist in classic. So maybe make an arena master stv arena city npc queuer at 3/6/9/12 am/pm or maybe an npc queuer for classic arena 1vs1 2vs2 battle royale every man for himself for dire maul and gurubashi arena and maybe have us able to use finishers like execute fatalities and we can get an outlaw title if we kill our own faction and we can get gold and they lose durability. Similar to this https://project-ascension.fandom.com/wiki/High_RiskDuels are boring and 1vs1 arena fights should be interesting and are technically possible in original classicAnd have a queue up teleporter in cities and a queue up for bidding on gladiators so we can be seated as arena spectators and watch players fighting like in pay per view and we can bid on them. And we can be the spectators in the dire maul arena and we can bid with the ogres next to us seated about who'll win the fight and if we win the npc dire maul ogre pays us and gets angry. There can be a dialogue he does with us and we have many buttons and a camera of the two players. We have many buttons like - player loses to execute you can win 20% more gold etcThis can entertain bidders so it's like an upgraded bidding system compared to auction houseWhat always bugged me was when I was a kid I imagined the cage in gatgetzan to be a mini non queue up arena and I was scared to go in there. You should make it that if anyone enters it they can be flagged and kill players without the guards attacking for the fun and we can zone into it so no one gets cheap shots and you can get faster ressurections and if you win you can earn gold and the goblin guards can surround the cage and be cheeringOne of the improvements I love is how you make it so we can use dungeon summon stones to summon people. Ironically as a kid I always thought in classic this was already available. And maybe give us different servers where some alterac valleys are nerfed and some aren't. So we have flexibility and can please all crowds. Kind of like how we have rp pve and pvp serversAlso can you please don't merge the classic 2019 to seasons of mastery because we need flexibility so we can choose to have 1x rate and world buffsWhat would also be cool is a way to use a goblin/gnomish racing rocket car like the wowhead rocket in the race area in thousand needles. Maybe it can be used in a new expansion.Or maybe options to let us swap around massive quest items like cthun eye/nefarian/kelthuzad hand ins, technically 2006 gamemaster were able to do this. These ideas are just to help the team because I careI think the best thing is make tiny ptr changes that stay true to classic and originally existed and ask if people enjoy it but retain the original 2006, such as thesame faction battlegroundsStay safe
However I will admit that spelladin is fun (Not referring to shockadin)As a kid I wished you can see airplanes take off in ironforge airport. I know this isn't in the original game but you can technically see airoplanes take off from ironforge. So it's debatable. And maybe make it if you have done naxxrammas 100 times you can unlock the ability to use the legendary ashbringer in raids after you have subscribed in tbc and unlocked it in tbc by speaking to the npc in the outland and doing his massive series of quests in tbc. And you can swap the corrupted ashbringer for the ashbringer if you give it to Tirion Fordring. Maybe make it that if you give it to him to keep it for a while the longer it stays with him like a pokemon daycare centre, the less corrupted it becomes over days and the more you can get the legendary ashbringer traded from him. But there is a catch. The ashbringer can slowly get sullied and turn into the corrupted ashbringer if you do anything horrible like kill civilians or your own faction in arena or do anything horrible besides killing horde. Or maybe you can't use it forever. If you bully people or swear at them or do anything bad it will get sullied. Then you must give it to tirion again. This is just a fun idea. Based on the legendary ashbringer which does exist in the classic database and was intended on being in the game.Because it always depressed me how we never got to use the original classic ashbringer. If it ever gets put in classic. Please make it almost impossible to getOr maybe make it only useable in a raid for a short while like andonisus reaper of soulsTo make it more legendary
man stfu ! can u tell one weakness of a warrior or a rogue in raids ? or in pvp ? or what else? nop. nothing... let me tell you why blizzard not doing class balance or nerf warriors. only 1 reason... because warriors community are big. costumers paying for being op ! not for being balanced. you guys always forgot blizards new strategy. blizzard now making temporary games. they're not tryin to make a good 1 eternal game. because no matter of what hype going to end even the 1 game was perfect. they'll just milk 1 season of warrior freaks and done. SAME thing in 2 years before now its more quick ! you know what will happen next when som ends ? suprise another som with NO CLASS CHANGES LMAO ! :))))
Hi friend :)Warrior weakness = SlowWarriors can't get out of slow. Paladins can use blessing of freedomThe biggest problem for warriors is that they are always having trouble with slow and that's how it always was in classic. To change that means to change everyone else.Warriors are not op in all categories in pvp. Requiring free action potions and wishing they can get out of slow. And paladins can charge reckoning and destroy a warrior if the paladins is skilled. If anything warriors are unable to charge if someone gets at the perfect range. And this shows warriors have big flaws.Warriors also can't heal anyone else.Warriors also have a way to become almost invincible but they need the op healbot paladin as tag team for flag carrying or honour farming. If a warrior uses crystal of zin-malor then the paladin can use blessing of sacrifice and the paladin will get damaged himself so the paladin healbot is very op in pvp. Now he can never be sapped or crowd controlled at any time. He doesn't need to wait for enemies to attack his friend. So paladin is op too. Blessing of sacrifice on warriors crystal of zin-malor.Paladin can also one shot in pvp. They can get resistance gear to make caster damage low and can get crit half the damage and reckoning on mages who crit them.Seal twist command and seal of righteousness reckoning bomb with an add-on to never miss timer. Mages have high crit chance so reckoning will be easy. And paladin has invisibility potion reckoning for world pvp gankinghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goCtuBPPKlkAnd paladins can use flame wrath! It scales at 100% spell damage and hits for 900 if buffed and 6 hits or 3 dual wield hits and if a warrior hits you he is dead!Spelladin porcupine mode flame wrath paladin op for pvp. You can weapon swap to sulfuras and still keep buff and the proc has very high chance to proc 3 times at start of fight and the scary part is I think if you have 3 sets of flame wrath you are invincible. It will bypass the internal cool down so you can maintain it forever.-------------------Rogue weakness = Reckoning bombLook at video on this page pleasehttps://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/kd1upb/ive_never_specd_reckoning_until_this_bg_and_ive/This paladin one shots a rogue.Rogues are scared of prot paladins ---------------Its possible they can make a new virtual reality world of Warcraft 2 or a classic wow that adds new raids and content (which was ORIGINALLY PLANNED) Who knows. Maybe they can make the game eternal. Maybe they can make a new wow game where you play as main characters (not thrall, arthas, jaina, anduin etc, or any main leaders, I mean characters like a boy who escaped stratholme) similar in final fantasy and go to stormwind school like in Harry potter or Hogwarts and you make friends along the way so like a story mode mmo like ff14 and you have movies with fighting katrana Prestor and baron rivendare.
"To me I am motivated to play PALADINS for being an underdog. To prove to other classes I am worthy" Paladins are not worthy they are the least developed of any class. If you have to get specific items and get lucky procs to do the damage all the other DPS classes do all the time. I've played Paladin since 2005 and they just suck in Classic. Their base damage is terrible and their scaling is awful. A Paladin needs three times the stats the compete with DPS classes. Very few people want to play a Paladin for the reasons you want and wanting to keep Paladins down because you haven't figured out they suck yet isn't fair for everyone else who knows better."However I will admit that spelladin is fun" Is it? How? Holy shock doesn't do as much damage as it should and it has a long cooldown all the other damage a "spelladin" does is a lot lower than every caster in similar level gear.
In pve there is prot pally who managed managed to tank Naxx and 4 horseman and kelthuzad in classicHe uses greater blessing of kings to generate threathttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHcr2p0yeE0KEAL3HGU32xA/videosPickpally---For pvp prot reckoning paladin is opWith holy shield they can get enormous block and get redoubt and use this sort of gear lookhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NH_ekvuhs4-----Spelladin is fun. I dont mean shockadin friend :) as holy shock. I mean this sort of spelladinhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sg7t4Lwj4cg&t=8sUsing spell damage scaling items ------Look. Flame wrath is still powerful :)Imagine bypassing the icd too with multiple Flame Wraths.https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=HqEyr_4Ya2kTBC flame wrathIn classic I have 720 spell damage buffed with flasks and potion and oil etc and full spell damage gear and 855 if I use sapphirons :)Its first 3 procs with seal twist are a super high chance to proc. Then it goes on internal cooldown but you can get 3 or 4 flame procs and weapon swap to bypass or beat internal cooldown so you can almost always keep the buff.Don't worry friend. With 32 debuffs for consecration and jotc and jotw so we can use more of our spells like higher rank judgement and consecrations because we get more mana we will get more damage. And we already have been given seal twisting. We will gain 10% more damage you will see :) and use pickpallys addon for seal twisting. And warriors also lose more in dps difference than us because for warrior world buffs is very op and they will not have it in season of mastery I know seal twisting for seal of righteousness is not how the game worked back then but if blizzard decides not to change it it means we can use rank 3 seal of righteousness and rank 1 or rank 5 seal of command and gain 50 more dps. This means 50 more dps from a low mana seal because seal of righteousness rank 3 scales higher than seal of righteousness rank 8! :OFriend to save mana use seal twist for rank 1 SoC and rank 3 SoR. Its op and very low mana cost. It will be a very op combo and put melee crit stats with might of menethil to focus on seal of command with t2.5 but seal twisting with sulfuras hand of ragnaros might be very op too because the 2 seals will proc it's fireblast. Have another friend judge wisdom. This means with these changes you can expect to do 100 dps more than you ever could have in 2006
I know this was on a private server but this reckoning paladin was crit enough to kill 5 players in 38 seconds :Ohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECobYEpm-Bs&t=1m58sSo this is possible. Also with mages you can use resistance with tier 2, and spell damage scaling items and loathebs reflection and reach 200 resistance. Combining resistance with reckoning is a good way to beat mages since they now do less damage on crit and the seal twisting with pickpallys addon means you can still do extra damage with both seals even if you sacrifice some extra damage going pure damage. The combo using the Crystal of zin-malor on a warrior and a paladin using blessing of sacrifice on the warrior is op for both the warrior and the healbot paladin because its not only going to help the paladins blessing of sacrifice remove poly off of the paladin at Any moment. But it will also remove sap/grenades/rocket helmets/traps/blind/charm etc and at any moment. The problem with the regular blessing of sacrifice is it only works when your friend gets damaged
Even though prot paladins in TBC are far more versatile in PvE as tanks etc. Ironically protection paladins in classic are far more overpowered than TBC protection paladins for pvp. I find classic reckoning not just more powerful for PvP in classic but also far more entertaining and fun than TBC reckoning for PvP even though I know TBC prot is superior for PvE tanking. The reason is because there is an add-on called auto sit to crit. It will give you an extremely high chance to get reckoning because it auto detects when you were hit And it sits even while you are running so you get reckoning. All you do is use a stoneshield potion and so if anything if you used that add-on with reckoning you would destroy any warrior who melee hits you like enchance shamans, rogues or warriors or hunters or warlocks using their pet which they usually have toggled to attack in pvp and you can get the charge easily so with that add-on paladins would be too overpowered. And now that mages are speccing enormous crit to try and maintain Ignite it means they will be using more crit gear than ever before and if you use a 5/8 resistance spell damage tier 2 paladin with glacial wrists and auras with loathebs reflection (and you can still have 6k armor) with reckoning you will beat a mage by reducing the crit damage by 40%. The only downside is your total dps will reduce compared to pure dps but you can still gain a good damage amount from seal twisting with high spell damage rank 3 sor (scales from high spell damage) and rank 1 seal of command. But this downside won't exist if you have weapons like neretzek scaling. In terms of powering up paladinsBy removing shadow oil internal cooldowns its going to bug the game like affecting the warlock debuff if it triple procs which will probably cause alot of other players to tell you to stop using shadow oil in raids because they want to increase the total shadow damage done by multiple warlocks And if dragonbreath chili's internal cooldown was removed to buff paladins, then we would have possible 2k hits consecutively. It's crazy if it hit that 2 times in a row. Especially if a full spell damage scaling fire rogue manages to bug the game by making melee rogues obsolete for PvE. Blizzard were smart. They added internal cooldowns for a good reason so you wouldnt have 3k dps fire rogues with dual wield enchanted shadow oils and so I don't think blizzard should ever touch those internal cooldowns. The best thing Blizzard can do for all classic paladins is do one thing and one thing only. -Make neretzek the blood drinker scale at 100% spell damage because it originally scaled-There is no documented proof of corrupted ashbringer scaling so they shouldnt change its coefficient and I'm sure if they did it would be a little too overpowered and far beyond comparable to sulfuras or might of menethil.Maybe neretzek the blood drinker can be the only nice nerf reversal blizzard can do. Who knows :) If they do then spelladins will be so strong. You will see 900-1000 damage lifedrains in pvp and now imagine that with a sit to crit add-on and reckoning and seal twisting combined. All from changing one item in the game back to how it was in patch 1.9. There is actually a video of a paladin showing Neretzek the Blood drinker scaling with spell damage in 2006. It sadly was nerfed afterwards :( https://classic.wowhead.com/news/wow-classic-not-a-bug-list-neretzeks-proc-doesnt-scale-with-spell-damage-318975It would make the game more fun if it did scale because it originally did and it wouldn't be super overpowered because it's base hit range is alot less than most BiS weapons so it would be ok but judging by the link above it's not a bug and was nerfedBut don't worry. I forsee Sulfuras with seal twisting doing alot of damage along with jotc and jow giving us enough mana to use max rank consecration in the 32 debuff slot. It benefits us more than anyone and other classes losing world buffs hurts them more too. So even if PvE spelladins (not shockadin) dont exist, unless its a private server, we are still getting a good increase without changing any items or talent trees. And that is really good. I'm proud of Blizzard. If you change the trees you destroy the original game itself and create an even bigger problem that will make all players leave. Not just paladin players.I know this is a private server https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=HxrQnQC5FDsBut you can get and idea of how powerful reckoning is. We don't need to be buffed in PvP. We are already overkilling PvP.Sure we don't have slows but we have anti slows like blessing of freedom. We have something other classes dont have.If anything. Its just PvE that seems like a real concern for paladins. But now we are getting stronger from the 32 debuffs (consecration uptime/judgement of the crusader permitted and judgement of wisdom for more spell use) and we have seal of command to seal of righteousness seal twisting. With this increase expect a 10% increase in dps with a seal twist add-on.I honestly think Blizzard has done quite enough in buffing us that we should appreciate the fact they made a spell batching with these seals allowable and allowed us to use consecration and judge seals without players questioning us.Even if paladins aren't as strong as warriors, it feels better when you do the best you can and people still respect you, rather than have false buffs that never existed in the classic database or ingame and everyone will remind you how youre only strong because you cried to blizzard on buffing you with a non existent buff. But being an underdog and doing 40% less than a warrior is still deserving of respect.I will feel proud because I'm a hybrid class and I used original spells that existed. If Blizzard goes back to an earlier phase for talents they must change the whole thing. So it doesnt merit it in my opinion. Its not beneficial to go back to 8 debuffs. But if something benefits paladins like a single item that scaled in 1.9. Then it's fine. Also, if blizzard turned me into a God I won't have a purpose anymore. I'll just be another warriorI would rather be an underdog like Goku that gets kicks out of finding new ways to improve and break limits than be born all powerful like beerus. All boring. All power handed. Making me realise that I don't have any challenges in PvE because I'm spoonfed.I like the idea of having to try harder than other classes to win. Its exciting to me.That's how I feel.So I would mind Blizzard increasing our dps with fake spells to make us feel good about ourselves which will end up being a false sense of pride and will be the death of your pride. Think about it.You'll become first place. But you won't feel proud knowing you needed a new fake spell.
Just have some pride and believe in yourself and try your best on your paladin. Trust me. Even if you come 9th 10th or 11th, You'll feel proud!https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=VEs9coe5XRgBecause when you get buffed with things that never existed, you won't feel proud winning. You think you will but it won't last. I know alot of paladins pissed off about it complaining about it because that seal of command to seal of righteousness swap never existed in 2006. If that happens again and again with a new random spell that never worked that way even in earlier patches of classic and you change the game into something it NEVER WAS then how can you live with yourself knowing they had to buff you with a spell that never existed or worked that way in any patch of classic just to be stronger. If you were like me, you'll start to feel it's all fake the stronger you get. Because you'll know that power up was just random power thrown at you.Now if it's something that was nerfed and originally existed, then it wouldn't so bad. Ita like the equivalent of changing ignite back to how it was before (Remember, only as long as ignite worked that way earlier on) And I would probably tolerate it.So if anything is ever retracted to power a paladin. Then Neretzek the Blood drinker would be it. And I would probably be far more forgiving about it and tolerable because it theoretically had worked that way in 1.9 (but not the Corrupted Ashbringer because I have no way of knowing) and I know Neretzeks lifedrain isn't a random spell that never existed. Which again is why I am not fond of seal of righteousness seal twisting since it never existed. We have nothing on the corrupted ashbringer. Nothing. Neretzek however originally scaled. I'm not saying blizzard will ever retract the nerf to appeal towards paladins. Its not a bug, its been nerfed and now its meant to scale at 0%. Im just saying if they ever do/did I would be okay with it. All because it had been that way once. I dont fully support it but I also dont despise that change. Things that are post and pre nerfed to me are acceptable.Because it's technically still inside the classic timeline. But the change would have to be worth doing that it merits it. And doesnt do more damage. Since Diamond Flask scaled throughout all of classic from the end to an earlier period and was nerfed outside of classic in tbc. So I dont think it should be nerfed ever in classic. But here's the 2 last most important things I want to say.If we can pre nerf the nerfed raid bosses to how they were from an earlier classic timeline and use them for a later classic patch because it merits the community and challenges them. Why can't we pre nerf the nerfed Neretzek the blood drinker 2handed axe and use it from an earlier 1.9 patch :) because it merits paladins using spelladin setups? We have evidence it scales in an earlier patch. Its there.Your choice Blizzard.I also wouldn't mind if the legendary ashbringer was put into classic or the talisman of binding shard because the talisman originally existed and a player looted it and I feel the FF14 creator would add something like this and the legendary version of the ashbringer item because it was intended of being put into the game early on while also being simultaneously fun to acquire, as long as it's maybe harder than Thunderfury to acquire.Stay covid safe everyone and stay strong Blizzard. We love you no matter what decision you make :)I apologise if my posts were too long I will try and shorten them.Stay safe team blizzard :)
"https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHcr2p0yeE0KEAL3HGU32xA/videos" Already had BiS and a guild with BiS. Spamming BoK while taking much more damage than a Warrior tank isn't amazing. The Paladin in these videos are being carried by their guild. "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NH_ekvuhs4" Has nothing to do with holy shield or redoubt. It's also on a private server. "https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=HqEyr_4Ya2k" All you have to do is find a horde you want to kill and then hope they let you hit them until it procs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sg7t4Lwj4cg&t=8s Private Server also Paladins don't work like that unless there are class changes which people want especially those who played Paladins in Vanilla and Classic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=VEs9coe5XRg" Paladins in Vanilla and Classic aren't good and a highly skilled player with the best available gear possible, along with consumables and buffs had this Paladin doing low to middle of the pack damage. So hurray?"https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=HxrQnQC5FDs" You post a video of a private server where a Paladin can stack up reckoning and hold those stacks, but you don't want class changes? "So I would mind Blizzard increasing our dps with fake spells to make us feel good about ourselves which will end up being a false sense of pride and will be the death of your pride.Think about it." Blizzard didn't fully develop the class you can tell by the tier sets and the lack of linear damage scaling with gear. "fake spells"? You mean talents and spells that deal damage according to the amount of mana spent and stats on their gear? Have you looked at the amount of damage other classes do and the amount of tools they have to keep doing damage and how their damage scales as they get better gear? I don't think fixing Paladin scaling, base damage and mana regen would feel fake. "I like the idea of having to try harder than other classes to win. Its exciting to me.That's how I feel." A warrior, rogue, or mage with similar gear will do a lot more damage than a Paladin using macros, niche items, every consumable/buff, and chugging mana pots. You won't be trying harder and winning you'll be trying harder and being in the middle or lower tier for damage especially if gear is super rare and hard to get in SoM. Back in Vanilla I poured over the patch notes and scanned down to the Paladin changes, because surely my level 40 rogue with terrible gear shouldn't be doing as much damage as my level 60 paladin in T1, but every single time: no buffs to damage only healing. Blizzard did not care about making Paladins a good class or giving them gear that worked with Paladin design. The AQ20 Paladin set proves it. It's not good for any spec. Blizzard didn't make time to finish the class nor did they care to make them good until Wrath (or at least that's what I've been told). "Combining resistance with reckoning is a good way to beat mages since they now do less damage on crit and the seal twisting with pickpallys addon means you can still do extra damage with both seals even if you sacrifice some extra damage going pure damage." Nope it just doesn't actually work that way in the real world. Even with 200 resist you won't resist, even partially, every spell or even most of them, only some. Secondly if a mage casts enough spells to crit a paladin 4 times it's a lot more damage than a paladin can survive. It just feels like you haven't really played a Paladin in Classic, you say you have, but I just don't understand how you haven't noticed Paladins aren't that good. In fact they are terrible. If you like this kind of play that's fine, but don't try to convince people with private servers, niche items, complex macros and weapon swapping. The class can do most things, but they do so poorly. "Your choice Blizzard.""stay strong Blizzard.""Stay safe team blizzard"Blizzard isn't reading the forums on Wowhead they have their own forums. Do you remember when Paladins only had 5 minute buffs and spent nearly the entire raid buffing? Getting 15 minute buffs was a big boon for Paladins. Think about how Blizzard thought players wanted to do nothing in combat but buff every single player individually for hours. That was the origin of Paladin class design and Blizzard didn't raise the bar much higher when 1.12 came out.
Hi friend :)Trust me. Believe me when I say this but paladins in classic actually need a nerf in PvP.I will prove it to you. I will get the new autositcrit add-on being made which can hit at any ms. And when anyone hits me with a melee. I will always get redoubt and Reckoning 100% of the time. This means I will get full reckoning bomb in a matter of seconds. This will anger players who are killed instantly in under 10 seconds and they will think I am cheating enough for Blizzard to look into the add-on and try and stop the add-on from working by changing the game because the combination of this add-on with reckoning or redout means I can have 30% extra block on me at all times and with a shield and stoneshield so melee taken isn't much. Then I can have a healbot heal me while I use blessing of sacrifice on him and he uses it on me. Paladin healers are the most overpowered single/team pvp healers. They aren't as good for flag carrying or aoe heals. But they can surely be very overpowered against crowd controls. With a shield and holy shield and redoubt always up. And a shield enchant and just one styleen block trinket while in T2.5 avengers with a flask of supreme power and the rest of my gear for pure melee crit to increase SoC on seal twist and thunderfury. Yes thunderfury I have one binding now on 2019 wow but it wasn't hard so I will get both because I started that paladin too late. But if you can get reckoning up very quick. Thunderfury will hit very hard. Sure you'll always do more with a 2h like Might of Menethil with SoC but at 81% block chance and 13k armor this means I am very hard for any melee to kill and if they hit me with lower damage. I can use thunderfury with reckoning to be my main damage dealer. Because I have the seal twist addon and Reckoning with the add-on boosting the 300 nature proc I will literally hit almost as hard as a 2 hand paladin who isn't using reckoning. So it's still pretty good.I can also use free action potions and bubble to push through stuns or reduce them along with stygian buckler which will spell doom for any warrior. Then they can't bandage/charge as easily. They bandage and I can always use smolderswebs eye and if they are slowed and hit me ill just block everything and have reflect damage and with reckoning and the add-on and seal twisting both seals of Righteousness rank 3 and SoC rank 1 and thunderfury will hit like a truck. I can also use frost oil with seal twists or icy weapon enchant and twist with seal of justice to slow or stun my opponents and it helps but yes it does rely on me having to hit them. But the reckoning add-on with high armor literally nullifies anything any melee can do to the point where they have to send multiple melees that hit hard. Maybe 3 hard hitting melees. If anything warriors and rogues are easy if you're reckoning. Any reckoning bomb paladin in PvP can easily keep up with an attacking warrior.Using thunderfury or any BiS 2 hand with reckoning and the autositcrit add-on in conjunction with seal twisting both seals and a seal twisting add-on will do far more damage than not using the autositcrit add-on and constant seal twisting. Some people will say this is a form of abuse. Giving reckoning a chance to always proc but it's still insanely overpowered that it would beat crusader striking every 6 seconds. Crusader strike is only superior against casters or healers. Reckonings only weakness is really healers.Against healers I can use my deathray and try and burn them with a hammer of justice from 100-0 once every 5 minutes with it. But I only use it if I am alone with a healer. But usually healers are with melee that they are healing. And usually if no one attacks me because they can see I am reckoning. I will swap out to a 2H like MoM or sulfuras and seal twist and take out alot of their health. If they attack me then thats just as good because usually melee always attack me. When I get crit 4 times for 100 to 500 I'll just dish it out on the healer with an iron grenade which I save on classes that run away and then kill the melee after the healer. If anything I think it would be a good idea for Blizzard to reward players in battlegrounds with more gold so we can buy iron grenades. So healers that heal a melee near me always get killed when their melee attacks me. As long as I have the add-on. And if the healer tells his friend to ignore me. I'll swap from thunderfury to mom and seal twist and a mom seal twisting with 1/5 vengeance will do just as much as a full deep ret with 5/5 vengeance not seal twisting. So the damage is still enough to be threatening. So really. Paladins are just not overpowered in PvE like they are in PvP.Classic paladins in PvP were nerfed in TBC because reckoning was too powerful. That's why they nerfed reckoning 3 times. In classic redoubt and Reckoning isn't limited like it is in TBC which gives it room for abuse via this add-on. An infinite loop of constant procs because the addon forces a sit to stand even while moving meaning you will always get crit and gain an extra attack when you are hit by any melee and you will always have 81% block with holy shield up.So if anything. Paladins don't need more class balancing in PvP. Maybe 1 weapon balance and people would be thrilled to stack more spell damage with neretzek. Then casters will be even more worse off. When you're talking about PvE however. You have to understand that paladins were made to be a support class. If you do manage to do 70% of a warriors dps that is total respect. The add-on is useless against casters. True. But resistance and Reckoning are perfect against casters. If Neretzek was made to scale. You'd have an unbuffed 420 spell damage paladin with massive resistance and buffed to maybe 670 spell damage and with those mage crits you'll see multiple 840 life drain hits. So yes if Neretzek scaled. It would benefit against casters in PvP and also in PvE. But if anything. Paladins are too overpowered against melee like enhancement shamans or warriors or rogues or even hunters because nearly every hunter I fight in PvP usually has their pet attacking. They have invulnerable mail and demonforged breastplate and stygian buckler to screw with melee. And thick obsidian breastplate which is used against casters has a 10 second internal cooldown (icd) so if anything there aren't alot of things to ruin casters. It's really warlocks, mages and priests because they usually hit hard and priests barely crit. Mages and warlocks crit alot but hit the hardest. Though resistance with reckoning would nullify this. It would be optimal if Blizzard made Neretzek Scale at least so it would be worth putting all our stats as spell damage and resistance instead of resistance and melee crit.So if anything. In PvP you would crush all melee effortlessly with that add-on.The 40% stronger gap in PvP can be equivalent to the 40% dps gap (no world buffs) in PvE warriors have.So essentially. Prot/ret Reckoning bomb paladins are much much stronger than rogues or warriors or enhance shamans with the add-on and them being better than you in PvE isn't as bad as you think because you're better than those classes in PvP. You're just not better against kiters or casters than shamans or other classes who are better against them.So it's really rock papers scissorsIt's true in PvE paladins do less than other classes, but so do druids/shamans/priests
I would rather do 40% more dps in PvP against rogues and warriors than do 40% more dps in PvE tying rogues and warriors. It's fair. Quite fair. If anything let's hope the add-on isn't nerfed. And if anything. Paladins just need more spell damage scaling items. They have a ranged incapacitating spell like repentance. It would be cool if we were able to get the option to use the pre 1.9 talent system so we have repentance and Reckoning. Any talent system that is effective and was used in classic prior to 1.12 might be tolerable. As long as it's an option since it upset me when repentance and Reckoning were separated. Paladins seal twisting with a 100% spell damage scaling neretzek with alternating petrified Scarabs and loathebs trinket with t2 5/8 and other resistance spell damage/melee crit items would destroy any caster except for a holy priest. So if blizzard chose to give us the flexibility to use older talent systems that had existed in classic like repentance and reckoning or have neretzek the blood drinker scale I wouldnt mind because it's something we always had in the game prior to 1.12. Some random new unheard of spell or damage increase that never existed in the game isn't going to sit well with me or many players I know. Now that blizzard is increasing the debuffs to 32. This will help paladins and other classes that rely on debuffs. So they are buffing you in PvE already. And they are giving us something we aren't meant to have. Seal of righteousness seal twistingThey have already buffed us for PvE.Something we shouldn't have.If they make neretzek scale with spell damage it would make spelladin more fun and make it much easier to kill casters.Because the life drain hitting for about mid 800s with seal twists while having massive resistance is worth it. Trust me 200 resistance makes a world of difference.
