How Phase 1 Gear Will Be Different In Season of Mastery

One notable aspect of our content phases is the decision to make the Dungeon Set 2 (AKA “tier 0.5”) questlines available at launch.

Changes made in patch 1.10 to dungeon rewards will be in place at the launch of Season of Mastery. This includes the availability of Idols, Librams, and Totems, as well as the adjusted drop locations and drop rates of some items such as the Hand of Justice in Blackrock Depths.

I hope to see this change.Comment by FurydeathSo why are we running MC again?Comment by Cridilul imagine buffing mc to the max and whiping 4 hours on Sulfuron Harbinger only to get Shadowstrike and on the other side giving better loot outside of the raid by beeing afk in alterac valley for 1 month or buying dm tributbox items from solofarming hunters for gold .. so at the end just ignore molten core for 1 month and go hard on farming dm/pvp items, get av/warsong to exalted for the powerfull items (especially warsong for the leggings they are bis till aq) /T0,5 and farming gold for crafting things (especially Lionheart Helm and titan leggings? for warriors) and then do mc on easy mode.. I mean wtf why bringing such powerfull aq/naxx items at the beginning in the game and also make them easy to get (just play the game 30 hours a day) there is no reason to whipe with green/blue leveling gear in mc and waste gold for consums.. I was really exited to see molten core with buffed bosses and no worldbuffs and bad gear but now after reading this it will be a joke after 2-3 weeks when people have their big gear outside of mc. Just take 20 stacked warriors with crafted/pvp/DM gear and cleave everything down..

Warrior/Shaman is only set that is somewhat decent and people ran mc/bwl until aq40 because it was so dead easy and could fit into the 3 hour single night raid. Majority of people are also not getting rank 14 or grinding bg rep for rewards.Comment by ValindraI agree, I went to BWL on my priest for months, from the time it came out in Feb of 2020, till the final months of classic I went every time a group formed, fully cleared the instance and ended up seeing Rejuv gem like 5 times up until the release of TBC. Drop rates are horrible and the amount of people who want and need them is crazy. If you shorten the time frame you need to double if not triple the drop rate. Or at least make the tier pieces a token instead of a particular piece. Something has to give.

Loot disparity is terrible and boosting the drop rate and amount of loot would make this a more enjoyable experience in my opinion. I suspect the die hards and sweaty players are going to be the ones to revisit this anyways. I got to experience all of classic, I'm grateful. But I don't think I'd come back to this. What carries over into the next season? If there's no replay value or none of my hardwork gets echoed into the next season, whats the point? The random roll abyssal gear (especially the legs and shoulders) are quite good. The epic level gear from the Lords would also be very good in p1.
