Keep the midnight lore team along with anyone who hates themselves and people who make human eyed elves away from this project at all costs

Can't wait for a watered down version of what private servers have been doing for years!

I hope new classic + will not be called "Camelot" because it is a bit a cringe name.
But if yes... then ye, we will all like "Camealot" expansion xD

Comment by Marlamin

Someone tell Wowhead that "community dataminer" Stiven still works for them, I think they might have forgotten.

Kinda obvious this was gonna happen with how Aggressive they been on private servers who do Classic + stuff
Though I have 2 big fears right now
One being What kinda content will it be. Will it just be Classic but with Extra patches? No new models? Something like season of discovery?
Or will it Something mind blowing Sure you can hate on Project Assession and such but it did REALLY fun content which i highly doubt Blizzard will replicate sadly.

And my second big worry is Are we gonna have separate Subs for this? Will we have to pay for a Retail sub and a "Camelot" sub? and how heavy are the micro transactions going to be. are we going to have to pay $70 to get the Camelot game? So are they going to be two separate things?

people who make human eyed elves

Bro.. go watch the original cinematic intro for WoW. The night elf druid has human eyes. You're like.. twenty some years late to be angry about this.

Hopefully it is a silly place.

Tf is unc yapping about?

Maybe the "Camelot" code name is telling on what is actually going to happen? Makes me think of a new land with knights and castles. Maybe Classic+ will bring us to the Arathi Empire? And thats how we flesh that continent out.

EDIT: Actually far more likely to be connected to "Avaloren" which is something that has been mentioned in lore before. An obvious reference to "Avalon" from Arthurian legend. I assumed the Arathi Empire was based on Avaloren, but it looks like that is unconfirmed so they could be there, maybe so maybe not. But I'd give it a good chance that we are going to Avaloren in Classic+

Classic remix confirmed!

On second thought let's not go to Project Camelot, it's rather a silly place.

Here is my TIN FOIL hat theory;

Camelot is actually a call back to another MMO that pre-dates Warcraft that was popular on its time "Dark Age of Camelot" it is said a lot of original wow devs took a lot of inspiration from. In fact in a recent interview, they spoke how Darkage of Camelot was the inspiration for the entire Horde vs Alliance theme of Warcraft it originally was going to be based more on just multiple factions instead of just 2.

Darkage of Camelot however was famous for pvp and for it being a 3 faction game...What if this Classic+ has a 3rd faction? What if part of the design is a big 3rd faction within the Vanilla world, also add in all the class stuff from SoD, etc.

just a Theory....a Game Theory

How most data mined things get confirmed. You trust whoever found it. I'm not sure what information those people can find, but I believe that they'd not share everything so as to not get legally acted against by blizzard.

So, maybe it's related to C+, but it could also be related to TLT.
To be clear, I'm not doubting his datamined stuff. I'm asking specifically about the relation to patch 1.60.

https://xcancel.com/Stiven_SRB/status/2066836816343302469#m

I'm asking because he said he's got it from somebody else.
Is there more than one person who confirmed it and how did they do it? Is that connection to 1.60 just a big chain of "trust me bro"? Because that's what it currently looks like.

And wowhead claims "it has been confirmed". I thought maybe somebody at wowhead confirmed it in addition to the dataminer.
