"As a consolation prize for not receiving gear, players will receive 300 Artifact Power for using the Bonus Roll."Don't they mean Azerite Power?
When I read the title of this article I thought to myself "Well, there will be 6 pages of non stop whining". Imagine my disappointment when I see there's only 4.You people have let me down.
For me its good. People geared up so quickly in Legion. Remember when Antorus raid was released players were rushing it on 2 nd week. Its not logic to throw all devs work and cleaning the raid current content so fast after 2 weeks of its release. That meant most of the people were overgeared for it.
One way they could mitigate the sting of this a bit would be to allow us to roll on a given boss as many times as we have coins, instead of just once per week.
The change to two coins isn't a big deal alone. It's when you add this to all the other awful changes to loot that things begin to go south.Personal loot will make it harder to get certain items which are good for your spec, you're relying solely on RNG to get an item. Then we find out that M+ Azerite armor cannot drop from dungeon chests, only the weekly chest will pulls from all dungeon loot so you can't even expect a certain item, now we get less opportunities to control the loot we want.Honestly, gearing in BfA is going to be a nightmare.
Have fun in BfA, I'm going to be staying in Legion and earlier content. However from what I've seen in streams and on the beta, 110s have a harder time killing bosses now. So I probably won't remain subbed going into 2019.
Here we see an excellent example of Blizzard in it's natural habitat, trying to fix things that aren't broke instead of fixing garbage systems that they instead double down on *cough* artifacts *cough* not sure why they insist on running their game into the ground.
Change is "fine" provided they let tiers last longer than 11 weeks. We'll need slightly more time now to get the gear.
Yay only two chances at bonus AP and five overall! The coins never roll loot anyway. Excitement Intensifies
This change makes raiding even less attractive over mythic+. My gear is already 80% titanforged dungeon gear, why even bother with high end raiding at this point?
Looks like a push to get people to there war event thing.
Actually, The Heart of Azeroth is an Artifact, so its feed with Artifact power that comes from azerite crystals,The reason I see to this change, with the current 3 bonus system, is that blizz give some other sources for us to get, at start sure is gonna slow down a bit, but take legion as example: after Nighthold launch, we got 2 quests from order hall that give us a seal, so, we have 3 from weekly vendor + 2 (1 from EN quest and another from NH quest), later on, we got those 3 weekly, 1 from NH quest, another from ToS quest and if things aligned right, you can get another 3 in that building from broken shore (really don't remember the name), so, you can get 8 seals in one week, and you can only carry 6.There was sometimes that i have to finish my order hall quest only with the Legion app, (because there you can choose which missions you finish, rather than in game that is all "automatic" when you click you order hall mission table/board) to not get another seal because I already got 6 and didn't spend any yet.Maybe in BfA we don't gonna need all the gear drops we need right now, with less TF procs, no legendarys (which leads to have spare gear itens depend on build you run), now we need a weapon, but no more need to grind relics with 3 perfect traits. We need to wait and see.
Blizzard likes to change things for the sake of changing them. I'm sure they have a reason; I'm equally sure it's an asinine one.
PEOPLE CALM DOWN! It is NOT that big of a deal. I swear you'd think they just announced that you had to pay in blood. Plus the fact that you can use them in M+ makes this WAY better than the negatives...
Is the cap still 6?
I can see two reasons for this change. Firstly WoW inflation has become out of control and keeping weekly gold-sinks (which are mandatory if you want to raid at a high level) is a good way to keep the inflation down. Secondly with forced personal loot there isn't really a reason why the coin should exist? I always thought it was introduced for a way trial raiders and people who shouldn't be given the item via master loot had a chance to win gear. Now that raids have personal loot I don't really see the reason why players should have an extra level on an item twice a week. What i'm most interested in however is the PvP bonus roll since the marks of honor are still a currency. Are the 2's/3's RBG's weekly honor capped items still a thing? Or is the conquest cap item able to be rerolled to suit your stats to be used in PvE
Utterly lame. I've had enough of this garbage. I'm going to burn something. Someone point me at a tree.
