Well this certainly is... a change...No more having to click the SEASONAL or the HARDCORE tab on server selection
Maybe this is the first step going into a seperate client for Classic+. Just speculation.
seems like alot of work for classic (especially sod) for something thats in hospice :/
Server status when?Given how simple this is and how long it took... I won't hold my breathe
I believe there is some truth to the Unified client theory. If you look at the diffs between the UI code for retail's 11.0.2 and 11.0.5, there's some out of place changes that shouldn't belong on retail, that you can CTRL+F for, e.g. "Keyring" isn't called Obsolete, and things that haven't been in retail for ages such as ShadowOrbs, BurningEmbers, etc, are readded. There's a new function called ClassicExpansionAtMost and a new Account Constant called CharacterDataMerge.Makes me think they'll combine retail + all classic flavours into a single .exe in future.
Are they finally gonna fix the right-click taskbar launch? Like right-clicking the bnet icon in the taskbar and selecting "World of Warcraft Classic", always tries to launch Cata no matter what. Even though I don't have it installed.
they wouldn't have done it without a reason. that's sure now we will obtain TBC and WOTLK SOD in 2025 and 2026. GIGA HYPE
Haters gonna hate, but Season of Discovery is so much fun!And it's the best Classic+ we'll get, so I'm hyped for SoD TBC or something like that
IMO they screwed up "classic could be more like classic" when they let Cata happen.I could got for Quality of Player Life changes like "more spirit healers please" but the only way I can show off some of my old favorite questlines is to slog them in Pure Classic then show a pal at just the right time. It's kind of like baking a souffle and forgetting the cute lil accent mark on it so someone impatient to ship opens the oven too soon and it collapsespretty much it collapsed JUST LIKE THAT every xmas pre-build to rush to market when the buying of games is high. Granted. Yet, they don't sweep the old stuff for Known Bugs. Then introduce new ones. There was also a time when there was a customer-service team of in game GMs to detangle things that break before you die of starvation./ old player yells at clouds.
