for anny pretty new shaman, THIS IS YOUR WAY TO WIN PVP! it is the one of two spells that you will be loved and hated for. imagine a priest shielding self, and you just: PURGE! the shield is down, and the priest has 15 sec CD and alot of wasted mana! when i PVP i have put it on my hotbar, key one. do not underestimate the power of this tool!

It doesn't "disable" spells at all.

It is an instant-cast that removes buffs (like Power Word: Fortitude, etc).

All it does is remove such buffs that are on the target (at the time of casting). Nothing else.

You could use some shock to "counter" the enemy when he's casting a spell, causing a short silence effect though.

Is it true that shamans can remove potion effects like Free Action Potion and Swiftness Potion? If thats true then add that to the list of how overpowered shamans are. Not only are they the fastest class (along with druids) they also have the most slowing effects (totem and frost shock). So at any point in pvp (WSG especially) they can get away, and you can't. I think this spell should have a 2 second cast or something like that to balance things.

This only removes magic effects. potions don't have a affect type.

OK if I got this right, it dispells anny buffs and such on the target... but does it dispell druids travelform?

No because druids travelform is undispelable but if your going against other shammie it will work. Of course if your horde and dueling a shammie its pointless becuase no shammie duels in gw unless they run.

the pala bubble is imune to all but you can remove the blesing he have(BoP). ^^

Totems are IMMUNE to AoE, and AoE does for the most, lesser damage than 1-target hitting spells,

usually, when a mage casts PoM + pyro they do it quickly. That would have to be some fricking awesome shaman to dispell it that quickly lol.

It removes the enemy target’s beneficial spells like Arcane Intellect, Power Ward, Mana Shield etc. in other words all things what are shown as Magic and do something beneficial to the buffed one.
Of course it doesn’t dispel paladin bubbles.

imagine this having the same effect as in wc3:
"purges the target, removing a beneficial spell from an enemy or a harmful spell from an ally. also slows the targets speed for x seconds etc etc... that would be OP =P

Actually, it can purge Blessing of Protection, because it doesn't stop spells.
