Not many bracers exceed these in +dmg/healing, the only ones that do come out of Naxx and AQ40. The lack of stats are easily made up with other gear which make the bracers prefered over tier 1 and even tier 2 if in between getting set bonuses. These can't be beat for a shadow priest in a pre-Twin Emp guild, just add mana/5sec enchant.
The grind took me 3 weeks to complete which is an average of what you can expect.
As the above poster said, those are some of the best bracers (comparable to Bracers of Arcane Accuracy, from Blackwing Lair's third boss, Broodlord) available to a player before The Temple of Ahn'Qiraj. They're also relatively easy to get, so snag a pair of these if you can!
These are actually the best magical DPS bracers available to a level 60 mage, not bad for an item that can be gotten solo :D
I do like these bracers for the damage potential... but why change them to +7 STA from +7 FR.
I mean - they gave FR and damage... so sad to have to remove them from my FR gear list!
Reward for the quest Stalwarts Battlegear
To complete the quest you require:
- Revered Reputation with Cenarion Circle
- 15 combat badges
- 20 logistics badges
- 17 tactical badges
- Mark of Remulos (from Logistics 11)
The Gates to AQ also need to be open.
These are easily the best Damage Bracers in the game. Of course you don't get any stats while you're wearing them, but not bad considering you only need Revered to get them.
I can't wait to replace my "of Shadow Wrath" bracers on my damage set with these babies!
Changed to +7 stamina instead of +7 fire resistance. Still 1% spell hit, 27dmg.
WTF, mates? This has the highest +damage (27 +1% hit, which equals around another 18 or so +damage for me). So why are you so upset they have 70 hp instead of absorbing 1.75% fire damage. The main point of these bracers is that they rock hard for the damage.
I've only downed 3 bosses in MC, and tried a fourth, but I only have 53 FR. It didnt seem to matter for me (as a mage) whether I have FR or not. It's not like I'm getting blasted by fire every 2 seconds. Sure, every now and then I have to use Fire Ward, which absorbs nearly 1000 fire damage. Seriously, who cares how much FR a mage has, as long as he does serious damage.
Aw crap. They took off the FR. I was going to get them just for that! :(
Well, on our second guild run we downed Majordomo, and on our third we are going to pull Rag. Seriously, I'm going to be switching a good amount of my damage gear out for FR gear, and then it is going back in my bag for stuff like this until we fight him again. No point in blathering over FR when you are ranged dps.
I used to wear my full FR kit for Rags, but now I just wear a hybrid kit with 110 unbuffed FR and still over 250 spell damage for it. Vael and Firemaw are the big FR fights for now.
For raw PvE damage, these are the best bracers in the game. These are as overpowered as something like cloak of consumption dropping from a pushover such as hakkar.
This is assuming you're fighting a boss and haven't maxed +hit.
According to the formulas used by maxdps.com they are the best dmg bracers in the game (including naxx). I just got mine and while they are very nice it took way too much effort to get. It took me: 2 deadside runs, 1 scholo, Doing field duty 50 times+, killing 450 58-60 elites (combat badges), killing 20+ templars (tactical badges), and farming all the crap for 20 logisitcal badges.
Tough call on whether these are better than Bracers of Arcane Accuracy. You get a few damage and some FR, but you lose stam/int. I'll probably get these and use them in my FR set.
On that note, why would these have FR and not NR?
are you kidding me jcldude? I use these over NETHERWIND - i even passed on arcane accuracy ( well not really pass, but bid at almost min bid price) because i have these already
once it comes out next patch these will be IMO the best braces in the game. you don't need 7k+ unbuffed mana, and if you're using some pieces of netherwind you'll be set on mana
I'm grinding my way towards these now. I don't see +7 FR being turned into +7 STA as much of a nerf.. The overall stat value of the item remains basically the same. It means however that Bracers of Arcane Accuracy will be better.
On the other hand, you can (theoretically) get these even if you're not in a raiding guild, although getting to Revered with Cenarion without doing AQ will take a while.
A guide to Warlock BiS Bracers which will not be replaced through Naxx.
Rockfury Bracers are a Quest Item rewarded at the end of a fairly time consuming Quest Chain in Silithus. You need to be at least Revered with Cenarion Circle to complete this Quest:
The quest begins with Vargus. A Blacksmith located just outside of the Inn in Silithus.
Accept Quest ‘Stalwart’s Battlegear’:
This Quest asks for 4 rather lengthy objectives to be completed.
Mark of Remulos, Cenarion Logistics Badge x20, Cenarion Tactical Badge x17, & Cenarion Combat Badge x15.
However, in order to begin the Quests necessary to attain these items you will need to familiarize yourself with the Quest ‘Field Duty’. This Repeatable Quest is how you will attain the Briefings necessary to collect Badges. You’ll complete this quest Dozens (if not Hundreds) of times in order to fulfill the requirements for ‘Stalwart’s Battlegear’. It is important to note that while the Briefing rewarded via ‘Field Duty’ may be random, you do not have to use it. It is often more advantageous or expeditious to repeat the quest until it rewards you with a Briefing which you’d prefer to complete:
The Mark of Remulos is a Quest Reward from the Quest ‘The Ultimate Deception’ which is started by clicking on an item ‘Logistics Task Briefing XI’. The Quest asks for 3 objectives: 1x Skin of Shadow, 3x Frayed Abomination Stitching, & 1x Twilight Cultist Robe:
‘Logistics Task Briefing XI’ is a random Quest Reward from doing any Cenarion Logistics Briefing Quest. These are Quests requiring items that are available to be crafted with Professions mostly. You also acquire Cenarion Logistics Badges this way so hopefully you’ll have your Task Briefing XI by the time you have your 20x Badges. Otherwise you’ll have to keep trying:
Next up we have our 17x Tactical Badges. You get these by completing Cenarion Tactical Briefings I-X which mostly send you to either kill Templars or Scout Hives throughout Silithus:
Then we need 15x Combat Badges. You get these by completing Cenarion Combat Briefings I-XII which mostly send you to kill Various Hive Beasts throughout Silithus:
It is important to note that many of these briefings can be completed together with other Briefings. Killing Hive Beasts whilst exploring a Hive for example. It is also very beneficial to complete many of these Briefings as a group.
Took me 18 hrs doing everything from the start until I turned in the quest and received the bracer.
this object can be obtainable in P5.
