So I decided to try to get this pattern solo with my lvl 56 hunter. Not really hard but dang do those hideskinners have killer DPS. I didn't realize until I got there that I had forgotten to fill up my ammo, so I only had 400 shots. Doh, oh well, I needed to go to bed anyway.

5 kills into it, this gets dropped:

My first epic drop ever!

2 kills later, I get a Journeyman's backpack, a nice addition.

I couple of green drops later, I'm down to 3 bullets left. I decide to try to take one more, even though the dang things murder me when I try to melee. I barely survive and my pet dies, but I couldn't believe what I got on my last kill, this pattern!

Not a bad run for only 21 Hideskinners dead :) I'm pumped.

I also stopped and picked up the pattern for the shoulders on the way out.

I saw this pattern at Bloodscalps AH (alliance) price was 8g bid and 10g buyout.
I dont know is that too much, but that was the orice anyway :)

On Tichondrius (alliance) it is currently going for 20g .. youch. Gonna go farm it for my druid.

this dropped like 20 mins after widowmaker dropped...must be my lucky day..gave it to the guildie with leatherworking

well thats funny, I haven't been to the Hinterlands since I was lvl 50ish and it dropped for me in the Outlands...

When you have both the shoulders and the breastplate equipped, the set bonus is a +20 to healing effects. Now, assuming the rest of your gear can take up the slack, it's possible for a hunter to wear this to boost mend pet skill for a little extra healing. Might be worth taking along in your bags if you plan soloing a dungeon, and have your pet tank a difficult boss.
