I always use this on the LK fight, when I run to the opposite side of the platform to put down a new portal. There are times when you might be out of reach for the disc priests (like if defile is badly placed and you have to run on the edge) so this might save you if infest is inc, and either case, poping an instant shield can't hurt.

Not only is this absolutely necessary for PvP Destro locks, it is such a convenience for PvE as well. If you regularly do 85 Heroics, you should talent this. The amount of damage you can mitigate, along with nether protection, is really good for many boss fights, as well as even "trash" such as Skyfall Stars in Vortex Pinnacle. It also means your healer will have to heal you less, which will receive you many thanks.

I'm curious why the change from Shadow Ward to Nether Ward isn't just a permanent change while you have the talent, instead of requiring Demon or Fel Armor. Any warlock worth his salt will have one of those armors up at all times, so why bother with the armor requirement for Nether Ward?

good spell. the specific wards, like shadow, fire, etc, are too particular to use all the time. but a general absorb? awesome.

If your Shadow Ward does not transform into a Nether Ward after accepting the talent into the talent tree, dispel your Demon Skin/Fel Armor. When you reactivate your armor, the spell will automatically change.

this spell protects against lava damage! lol learned that swimming in BRD lava. doesnt take away from the total amount spell protection either

i have a question. it seems this spell is modified by spell power (intelect> sp). the more you have sp the more dmg absorbs. but if is a trinket proc shuld it remain the same amount of damage after the proc fades,or change back to normal? let's say i have 9k normal protection but with a trinket proc who give intelect or sp it raises to 10k. after the proc fades shuld remain 10k or 9k? i've seen this at the mage ice barrier. they can use it when a good trinket with intel procs so they can raise the damage absorbed by shield.
