Increases the amount of health generated through spells and
effects
by 50% for 20 sec.
Works with ANY healing effect, including Healing Potions, (Improved) Blood Aura, Seals of Light, etc. Makes a nice combo when almost dead: Vamp Blood, Rune Tap, Healing Pot. I've seen it heal for 80%
Edit: i'm using the following macro's now, because Vampiric Blood isn't on the 'regular' global cooldown:
#showtooltip Death Strike
/cast Vampiric Blood
/cast Icebound Fortitude
/cast Death Strike
I personally put Icebound Fortitude in there too, because it's a nice thing to have up when ready - I would forget if i had to click it all the time.
Also works with Rune Tap, but it does need 2 Blood Runes.

This way you can also make macro's to activate Hysteria on yourself everytime you cast Heart Strike. Very nice!

its even more heals which i find insane, and this is all just self healing, theres plenty more you could benefit from your party if they were healing you as well. =)

Blood is an offensive talentree, their defense becoming their offense, which would be great for tanking if it wasn't for poor itemization.
This would work like a special kind of mitigation cooldown, like Bone Shield or Unbreakable Armor(given the 1min cooldown) by increasing your healthgeneration from your spells and abilities.
Blizzard did try to make every tree viable for tanking however they scewed up Blood because of the gear, you need both high armor, parry, dodge and defense as well as attackpower, critical damage, probably haste and a pretty good weapon to be able to tank good as the other specs.
Blood needs way more defense to offense-converting talents than only Bladed Armor...
This is some speculations Ive done, I would very much like to be proved wrong, not because I like Blood which I don't, but because I would like it for people who likes Blood over the other trees to be able to tank just as well, because tanking as Death Knight is
very
fun.

Bit of a nerf, but in tune with Blizzard's ongoing push to move DKs away from being cooldown tanks
If that were true, it would have came with some sort of buff to avoidance, armor, or HP.
The
real
reason blizzard is doing this is because you have certain people who are able to find ways to solo things like Doomwalker, all of Karazhan, etc.
It is a nerf.

In PvP/Arena play, this talent will be very nice in Patch 3.1 - this ability combined with the Improved Blood Presence talent will essentially negate Mortal Strike effects (+35% healing from Vampiric Blood + 10% healing from Imp. Blood Presence).
That's assuming they stack additively anyways.

I just confirmed, this improves the healing effects of bandages.
Heavy frostweave bandages = 725-726 a tick
HF bandages + VB = 978-979 a tick
Not sure why this has a -1 rating, just trying to share information that wasn't already presented. : /

tested by flying in the air, dropping down and loosing 50% health then using vampiric blood and then a rune tap. after vampiric blood was done. no health was lost.

Hum, you might understand this better ... You gain a 15% boost to your max health along with your current health.
So lets say your max health is 127k and your current health is 57k when you use this ...
Your max health will be boosted up to about 146k while your current health is boosted up to about 66k.

This was one of the main reasons DKs were considered "squashy sponges of damage reception". It felt like you were still getting lots of damage, you were just having lots of health for it. This was of course back in Ulduar, I don't know about now, the dynamic might have changed.
