yeah so i was wondering...I have a mage at lvl 70, and I recently discovered that I can use frost nova at rank 1 and it will freeze just as well as the highest level, expet it only costs 50 mana! Well it does less dmg but i have arcane explosion for area dmg....

So i was thinking that i could do the same here, having a survival hunter, to get the immobilize effect for much less mana.....Any thoughts on this?

There is now only 1 rank of Wing Clip. It scales with attack power instead of having higher damage per rank, and it is now only 50% instead of the previous rank 3 60%. This seems to be an intended nerf.

losing 10% of snares effect is sad, but losing damage part from this is actually buff
you see, since wing clip doesn't cause any damage anymore it can no longer be parried, dodged or such. Fine change in my opinion I always hated it when rogues dodged wing clip 3 times in row.

I like this in PvP but its not as useful as you would think in PvE. 75% of the time i use this against a mob and try to run i get dazed which reduces your movement speed by 50% thereby nullifying the bonus. I think daze is one of the most annoying aspects of the game and think it happens way to much. Daze is in a serious need of being nerfed, especielly at lower levels. At least make it a regular movement impairing effect that can be countered by Blessing of Freedom or shapeshifting as a druid, wouldnt help much on my hunter but would be alot more fair.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but...

Compare the slowing effects of Wing Clip to other abilities such as Crippling Poison and Chains of Ice, just seems a little unbalanced.

You can make nice macro from 摔絆 and 逃脫. Because Wing clip does not activate cooldown you can immediately cast Disengage after it. So the macro would be.

#showtooltip Disengage
/cast Wing Clip
/cast Disengage

Now you can slow down your enemys and get away from them at the same time.

This should be the 2nd melee attack that a hunter will receive. Excellent for kiting, also for slowing down enemies(or more specifically, flag carriers) in a certain ctf battleground.

Concussive shot is better for WSG than Winged Clip. You flick on Cheetah, get in range, use Concuss on runner, all the other instant casts, use Concuss, repeat.
Wing Clip you'd actually have to get close. Now thats just silly. Plus you'd do more damage with that ranged cycle above if you're a Marksman Hunter.

Here's my trick to getting fast skill with 2 handed weapons. All you need to do is spam wingclip. Auto attack will still occur.
This is a really useful move. Kiting, slowing, meele escape, etc. If you spam it, you can get proc from your weapon really easy.

Dude, i have a 60 hunter. When i was grinding at Raven hill, duskwood at lv 24-28, i would put pet on 1 mob, set freezing trap, and take on 2 mobs myself. Its called kiting. And do you know how you do it? Snares. Snares of wing clip. Rofl AoC + wing clip = ez !@#$. If you think 40 mana is alot, lol get better gear u #$%^ing gimp

When you receive this skill you are lvl 12 therefore you should have about 2 lvls of experience with your new pet. If you lose aggro off your pet and the mob runs at you, immediately stop shooting and run towards the mob spamming wing clip. When you get close enough wing clip will finally be placed on your mob. After that keep running forward (unless there are unfriendly mobs in front of you, in which case choose a different direction to run) till you get far enough to use your bow/gun again. All the while your pet is still biting/clawing at your enemy so by the time your at range to use your bow/gun, it would have taken aggro again. Now you can start pelting out DPS. In the rare occasion that your pet doesn't take aggro by the time you run off, Concussive shot, arcane shot, serpent sting if you feel the need and it should be dead by the time it reaches you. =D

ok for the hunter twinks, this is great but not as good as desired. Mainly the ppl you'll fight in range is a ROGUE and they have sprint. so even if u use a dwarven racial of stoneskin the poison will be gone but he will be going the same speed as you if his sprint ability is up.

my 16 hunter beats 19 rogue twinks as long as they

1. dont sprint
2. dont attack pet

for all you rogues when the hunter sends his pet at you whilst hes running off stun the pet and either sprint or if your sensible like me get a speed enchant on your boots

i get so annoyed by twink hunters in 19 WSG it take so long to cathc up with them when they're kiting and when i get close they use this and end up killing me wit their pet

Does anyone know if Wing Clip counts as "incapacitated" to make the Paladins Seal of Command hit harder?

Seal of Command:
