Before the Cataclysm Expansion came out Blizzard made it that needed 455 skinning to skin any of the bosses in lvl80 heroics. So this was a must if you wanted to skin the bosses, or, you can go through BRS and try to get the Zulian Slicer

Now that Cataclysm is here. I have found bosses in Grim Batol that says you need 530 skinning

This enchant let me skin 530 skinning required bosses. The recipe drops from 枯木暗影獵手 & 枯木獵頭者. For this recipe you'll need 1 & 3 綠色幼龍鱗片s that are only skinned from 劇毒幼龍s, which also drop 翡翠龍寶寶, OOX-22/FE定位器 (needed for pet questline), & 精龍的蛋. The 劇毒幼龍 page has a spawn map, also I left a comment on how I farmed them there.

So if i enchant these at lvl 300 skinning i get 305?

Now theres also a Sword with 10+ skinning in Zul Gurub so even paladins can get 315 skinning now

OK so we know what it does but where can u find it? I know its in the AH but is there any place that it drops frequently?

vant rogue use both sword and dagger at the same time?
and then have the enchant +5 so they get 325?

i got this by the refuge point off a troll the recipe and i wanted to know how mutch it sold for on the AH(AUCION HOUSE)

You get +5 more in skining from this enchant (305)

You get +10 more in skining from Finkle's Skinner (315)

You get +10 in skining from Zulian Slicer (325)

Ok, I wrote a simple macro on how to switch from your normal gloves and weapon to your skinning gloves and weapon. This is useful if you need to do alot of 300+ skinning, for example if you need to skin core hounds in MC, and you need to do constant switching.

Ofcourse this macro will not work for you, you will need to adjust the numbers to work for your configuration. Here's how :

* Macro Line 1 : Change the number 4 to the number of bag your gloves are in. Your bags are counted like this : your backpack is always bag number 0, and the bag closest to your latency meter is 4. So your bags are in this order : 4 3 2 1 0. Then change the number 15 to the number of slot your skinning gloves are in that bag. Bag slots are just counted the normal way, from left to right like you were reading a book. My gloves were in the second to last slot in my bag, hence the number 15.

* Macro Line 2 : This line doesn't need changing, it refers to the item you equip to your hands.

* Macro Line 3 : Don't change this either, it refers to the weapon equipped in your main hand (also works for 2handed-weapons).

* Macro Line 4 : Again, change the number 4 to the number of bag your skinning knife is in, as explained in step 1. Change the number 16 to the number of slot your knife is in that bag. In this case, 16 refers to the last (bottom right) slot of a 16-slot bag.

Additional notes : This macro will work with Finkle's Skinner, as well as Zulian Slicer. It switches between normal weapon + normal gloves and skinning knife + skinning gloves. It will also easily handle the switch between a 2-handed weapon and your skinning knife.

there is a cave there with headhunters and shadow hunters and whatever. thats where i got mine after grinding outside for hours on end. so go in the cave. they are higher level mobs there and thats where it probably drops more. got it after probably the 30th kill in the cave. didnt see anyone else mention that.

Won't this be useless for "the beast" and "onyxia skinning" when the BC comes out because of the higher skinning skill OR will the skinning level needed be higher when you set ony and UBRS on harder modes?

it can still be useful in TBC b/c if you find a corpse that is a higher lvl then u, and u dont have the skinning to get the hide, then u whip ur skinning gear out to get it.

ALLL HIGH LVLed skinners need for UBRS cause most dragons past Rend is 61(305) and 62(310)

This enchantment is used for when you have skinning at 300. Some of the mobs in Blackrock mountain require you to have 305 or even 310 skinning in order to skin them.

Made a pair of Dark Leather gloves to put the enchant in, that way a single pair can be used for 2 tasks

I see how people put these on good gloves and I don't understand why. Buy cheap cloth gloves (so everyone can wear them), make sure they're white (so they don't soulbind) and get them enchanted. This way you can pass them between your characters on the server if you want.
