Most rogues,ignore the socket bonus of this(as the gem is blue) and put +8hit rating gem or agility one as they don't need stamina for their max dps.

you could use the blue socket for your meta gem (you should be using

People should stop ranting on and on about t5 not having hit rating. obviously they dont know that once you get to the point of more than 1 piece of tier 5, you will have access to certain items that give huge amounts of hit rating.
It turns out that you can actually build up 308 hit rating pretty easy. things like edgewalker longboots with the right gems and surefooted enchant give you +38 hit rating, belt of deep shadow +34 hit rating, both +hit rating trinkets = +57 hit rating. You'll get to the point where you get to slide in more and more crit/ap while keeping your hit rating capped. Although pants usually have pretty high stats which means you'll be giving up lots of hit to change to these pants, you should be able to make up for it in other places to make these pants still up your dps. And plus that 2 set bonus is pretty hot in the right conditions.

sigh... noobs theres a socket if u like hit put hit if u like crit put it. FYI just b/c its a blue socket doesnt mean u cant put yellow in or ne other gem.

Firstly, due to expertise changes hit cap will now by higher, more like 360.
secondly the comment"Lol you cant crit if u dont hit" is completly wrong. crits CANNOT miss. if you had 100% crit chance you would not need any hit. this is ofc impossible.
Rogues should aim for :
1.8k Ap
210 hit
25% crit
As they leave kara, as you progress through SSC/Tk/MH/BT you should aim to increase all 3 stats while not neglecting one stat and watch it drop.

The truth of the matter....
Every piece of gear has a certain DPS potential. Obviously for different circumstances or playing style (PVP/PVE) these are adjusted but the stats themselves can still have very defined values. So what all this means is I personally don't really care which stats I get as long as the overall DPS potential of a piece of gear is an increase! Yes for boss fights until you get to the hit cap no other stat is equal to 1 point of Hit Rating! For killing trash you don't need as much hit because mobs are 71 and 72 and you won't miss them with a much lower hit rating. IMO trying to get a certain Crit, Hit AP or any other stat in particular will have a negative effect on your overall DPS.....which typically is the reason in theory that you're going for those stats in the first place! Get a spreadsheet or go to a good forum that has reliable conversions to AP or Agi (Whichever your preferance) and really start learning about your class to maximize your DPS!
Here's an AP conversion for a guideline...although different specs and gear do have an impact on these conversions but it's a heck of alot better than 'shooting' for a 30% crit rating or whatever..
1 AP = 1 AP OK the obvious is out of the way :)
1 Agi = roughly 2.12 AP
1 Hit = roughly 2.43 AP
1 Crit = roughly 1.65
Haste = You really need a spreadsheet to accurately figure this since Haste % (not rating) are multiplicative of each other. Example S&D; 30% speed increase, Blade Flurry 20% speed increase BUT together they are a 56% speed increase! Each additional haste % increase (Heroism,mongoose etc) make every haste ability better.
And now with gear coming from ZA and the Heroic gear etc with Armor Penetration and armor ingnoring effects they have a very valuable DPS potential that shouldn't be ignored! That's another story all together!

Is this a nightmare or is a hunter wearing this in the pic above? As if eating your fill of rogues in PvP weren't enough, now you steal their gear. Someone make a class requirement on this.
